I enjoyed tonight more than any previous one this season & agree with the judges comments and the outcome.

Michael & Emma: not very good, but sweet together

Tommy & Peta: always seem like they are having fun, I especially enjoyed them in the dance off

Lea: okay but didn't feel the wow factor

Alfonso and Bethany: both fun, lively, and well-done routines

Sadie and Janel: really enjoyed both of their dance numbers.....I thought Janel's was especially beautiful

I was exhausted yesterday and kept snoozing on and off during the show. I will check online for Alfonso and Sadies performances.

Yes, well said in that Leah had no wow factor. Janel's routine was okay tho judges were crazy about it. As for Bethany, it was kind of hard for me to think of Lucy Ricardo all busting out with the cleavage and shaking her booty. The theme of Lucy and Ricky didn't meld with the sexy style dance. Emma and Mike, I got tired of her tears. They ought to pair her with a young dude and then she'll be crying when she realizes how frustrating it is to be paired with someone so much older.

I missed the dance off, too. Glad the worst offenders are finally getting voted off.

hAve to agree. Tommy has the humility that I can deal with him but he's got to go next week. But they really did better in the dance off! Leah just looked blah, maybe she is tired of the whole thing?

Seriously, WHY don't they take last week's audience votes and combine them with THIS week's judges votes? Otherwise, why make the poor, already eliminated, contestant even dance......and then if they turn out to have a great night, what is the sense of that? Devil

Anyway, without reveling who was knocked off.....

    * liked Alfonso's first dance, I was taking a phone call during his trio dance, but judging from the scores, it must have been good.

    * Tommy, as engaging as he is personally, he can not dance!!!!!! It's like it is week one all over again....

    * Lea, she has great legs, I didn't really care for her partner dance but I liked her trio dance

    * Bethany, I thought she had a great trio dance

    * Sadie, I liked her partner dance & loved the trio....thought it was the best of the night

    * Janel, liked her partner dance, thought the trio was kind of creepy

Still feel it is a pretty dull season......

Leah, no wow factor. And it is a joke that Tommy Chong is still there. Alfonso's trio dance was powerful and entertaining. Bethany's trio dance was amazing. I loved Janel's trio dance and thought it was super sizzling and oh so sexy. She always seems to deliver. Sadie's reaction to each judge's score of 10 for her trio after she thought she flubbed the ending was simply priceless.

I agree, it's been a dull season. I heard that song "I Feel So Close to You Right Now" on the radio the other day and forever associate it with Maks and Meryl doing their Argentine dance......this season can't compete with that....

Funny you should mention I Feel So Close to You Right Now. I just came from my exercise class where we did that song as our warm up & I was thinking of Maks & Meryl too.....and humming I Feel So Depressed About This Season Right Now......

agreed. Almost can't wait till the season is over, hoping next season is so much better. Don't want to be mean, but Tommy hasn't eared the right to still be in the competition. If he isn't the next one eliminated, thinking there's something fishy. (He may be popular, but at this point, it's more about talent than popularity).

Poor Leah was doomed from the start, I think. She was competing against not one but three young gals who all had the advantage of being paired with a seasoned professional. She'd try to impress everyone by saying she was a mom of 53, but face it, at that age she's old enough to be a grandma. Didn't she realize that DWTS has had its share of younger moms with lots of kids, like Brooke Burke? Something never clicked with Leah. This morning she was on GMA and said she'd lost 10 pounds during the show. I'm sorry, but big whoop. She's slender to begin with. Didn't she realize celebrities like Marie Osmond, Kelly Osbourne and Ricki Lake all slimmed down considerably when they were on the show? I think Leah is a case of 'been there, seen that, nothing new'. I also didn't care for the cougar thing they were trying to go for.

I wanted to say I think Alfonso is a very classy guy. He never comes across as the 'dirty old man' dancing with Witney. Even when he danced with both blondes last night, he was all class, not one leery remark, only a joke being made that at age 43, he was older than both Witney and Lindsay's ages combined. I just think in comparison, Tommy Chong comes across as that dirty old guy.

I was scrolling around looking at comments about last night & I think this person has nailed Tommy's continued presence on the show: "The only reason Chong is still there is because people want to see Peta half-naked."

    Now I get it! Loopy

I cant believe that people actually vote for Tommy, I would be happy with eitherAlfonso or Janel to take the mirror ball.

Alfonso and Whitney moved kind of slow. Tommy and Pera were interesting! Derrick was Derrick. LOL. Val was amazing. Sorry I don't remember those girl's name. Kinda of interchangeable.

ruth, if you're bored, watch the show. Other than that, it was average to me.

Juliannne and Witney's braided hairstyles: yuck. Erin's green dress looked like it was recycled from a dress she wore previously this season and all the dresses look like they could be cut down to use as exercise-wear after the show.

I hate to say it, but I'm a little tired of Alfonso's injuries. Poor guy. Janel and Val, I read they are an item in 'real life'. She has really developed as a dancer over the weeks and I always look forward to her routines.

I can't say the dances last night wowed me, they were good but nothing electric. Surprisingly, I thought Tommy wasn't bad and was actually entertaining.

At this point, I think it could be anyone's to win it.

I have a dinner meeting tonight so will miss most of it, and I just saw the finals are tomorrow night when I have another commitment also (the same one I skipped last year!). I am not even sad that I will be missing the live action....which is a sad commentary on the season itself.

well, just read that Carrie Ann wasn't thrilled with the cast either:

Hoping next season they get a better cast or this show won't last.

Did the breaking news from Ferguson interrupt the show on the east coast? Did anyone notice?

It did interrupt here in the Dallas area. That and I turned off to watch the news and forgot to turn back to see who got voted off. Tomorrow night will be a surprise. Not sure how they did it but I think somehow they went to a tape delay. They certainly went past the 9 pm ending time.

ruth, I miss having your commentary on last night's show.

My favorite freestyle was Bethany's. Sadie's was a bit too unusual for my taste, and I'm even a Mario fan. I wasn't a fan of Janel & Val's freestyle, I just didn't care for all the lovey dovey stuff. I thought rather than showcase their relationship, they should have tried wowing us with a great routine. After Bethany's impressive performance, I wasn't too sold on Alfonso's freestyle.

Well, at this point, I think it's anyone's game. I'll be surprised if Sadie wins. Erin looked like she was wearing her mother's hair.

I was excited because I thought I'd get home for the last hour.....alas, my car got stuck in a snowbank (6 inches of heavy, wet snow have fallen in a couple hours and it's a mess!). I got home right when they were hoisting the trophy.Scared

The results: It was almost too predictable, and we had to suffer through all those bad dancers for the end result!

I don't like that the couples dance one last time for judges votes only. I don't think its always been that way. And they often get mostly tens, how much of a difference does that actually make. I think it's just filler for the two hour finale. It takes away from the impact of the freestyle, which should be the last dance we see the couples doing, imo.

Many things could possibly come in to play when it comes to who wins. Janel's lovey dovey freestyle may have lost her the trophy. If she'd delivered a freestyle like Bethany's, could she have at least come in 2nd place?

Did the Duck Dynasty millionaires buy votes for Sadie? Or bribe the judges for good scores? How big of a fan base does she, on her own, have to get all those votes,to come in 2nd place? In the end, I must say I admire her attitude. She was always willing and never bitchy, having maintained a great relationship with Mark throughout. I just didn't care for her dancing all that much tho I agree she was worthy of being in the finals.

I also ended up with mixed feelings about Alfonso. Glad he won, but I think it'd have been okay if Bethany or Janel had won, too.

Once again, so much fun sharing and hearing everyone's comments. Happy Thankgiving.
