Great free dances. Noah did a lovely job; but for the winner, I am torn between Riker & Rumer. I have liked Riker best the whole season, but would not be sad if Rumer won either.

on my fb vote I did 1-1-3 Noah/Riker/Rumer and on the phone all for Rumer, I've lover Riker all season and won't be disappointed if he does win, what agreat season.

I just watched all three dances on YouTube, Noah's first, Rumer's last. I was in tears the whole time for Noah. He really brought it to the dance floor in a way that emotionally astounded me. The music was a bit odd sounding to me, but I guess it had meaning to him, I will have to re watch and listen.
Riker was good and visually appealing to watch. His music selection was also a bit odd sounding to me. One other thing I didn't like: Allison on there almost a bit weepy saying "I would have never made it this far without Riker". Wait a minute. It's not about her winning or getting far. It's about her partner.
In the end, I think Rumer is the best technical dancer of the three. She looked oh so fabulous last night, her black ensemble looked incredible on her. I think she will win and deservedly so. On a side note, looks like the daughters favor their Mom Demi as they sit with her and not with Dad Bruce and his wife who looks like a younger looking version of their Mom.0 -
I liked Rumer's dance the best last night because I like 'simple' without all the pizazz (Riker's dance had too much stuff going on for me). Noah's was busier too, but in his case it added to the dance because of his situation. I agree; his dance was so moving. I won't be disappointed no matter who wins. So glad that I was WRONG about this season!

I think Val did a better job making sure to finesse Rumor's dancing style. Riker, as fun as he is to watch just didn't develop the final intricacy of the dance. Oh, I also think Bruce and Demi are not above throwing some money towards making sure the voting goes in Rumor's favor. But she has the goods to win without their intervention.
I was also very moved when they showed Noah's mom in the audience. Lots more tears.

Very gratifying ending to an excellent season!

Yes! And somehow, DWTS always gets the winner right. The whole season was much better than anticipated. I thought Riker really shined tonight, quite sexy and debonair. I hope for good, no, great, things for his career.
Tonight was the best Erin Andrews ever looked. Her dress was gorgeous. Seeing all previous contestants was fun. The buxom blonde commercial girl was in a lot of camera shots tonite, even tho she was eliminated so early in the competition. Patti LaBelle wasn't too happy with a strand of her pearl necklace wandering over to hug her right bosom while she sang. It doesn't look like Demi is capable of much natural expression, apparently too much Botox. Suzanne Summers looked better dancing without fruit on her head, that's how she should have been presented in the first place.
I guess Robert and Kym are a real item in real life. Boy did she luck out. Sharna's true spirit really shone thru this season. I loved her. Allison brought some new life to the show with her own fresh, creative ideas and that's a good thing. I really did love Riker's freestyle.
The dance Derek and Julianne did to Sia's song makes me speechless, the two small children dancing the same routine....just wow. Plus I'm a fan of Sia's music. Also loved seeing my gal Amy Purdy's back dancing with Derek. She recently got engaged to her long time boyfriend. Happy for her.
Wow, an action packed show. That's entertainment!!!0 -
Yes, I loved seeing Amy too, especially as they danced along side Noah & Sharna. Both are testaments to the triumph of the human spirit over horrendous odds.
And I thought the Willis/Moore family thing was weird; with Bruce & his young chick in one row and Demi & their daughters in another. They never seemed to interact with each other at all. .....Demi is a good advertisement against Botox and it seems to me that you CAN be too thin!
Yes, Suzanne looked very good fruitless & I wish that Mark and Willow would have danced one 'normal' dance with no goofy costumes.
So fun, and it seemed that everyone was routing for each other all the way through. I will miss it!

Well what a great season, wish there could have been 3 mirrorballs and it was fun to see everyone back. As we say every season that danged Derek sure can choreograph, that piece was amazing and those kids WOW. I don't know if you know or not but last night Ashton Kutcher tweeted his support of Rumer, it was really nice and I had forgotten that he and Demi had been together for so long and I loved that Rumers sisters were so excited for her.

Thanks for, sharing that about Ashton, that's nice to hear

i was leaning toward Rumer a bit, but would have been ok with anyone winning. Noah got really far so happy for him. I think he proposed because he thought he'd be going home in the semifinal. LOL
I was impressed with Valley playing the violin and Rumer singing the music for their dance. Who knew? It was kind of magic.

I just got a big smile on my face. First, nice to "see" you again, Ruth. Second, this list, Omgosh. Some good, some bad, some unknown! Every season I swear it won't be good, yet most often end up loving it. Looking forward to the new season. Thanks for, posting the list, Ruth

Good to see you too, Divine! After being so totally (and happily) wrong last season, I am making no judgments ahead of time. I am looking forward to all the fun, and our astute commentary!

All I can say at this point is 'poor Anna' looking forward to hanging with you again, I too don't make judgements any more will just watch and enjoy

I see plenty of "stars" that might have some rhythm. Chaka Khan maybe. I know little about her. Nick Carter - didn't all those boy singers have gyrating hips?

Just found this when I looked up Andy Grammer. I always kinda think most singers can dance some. But seeing as how he just lost his partner and link says she's replaced by Allison Holker.
Interesting season.

I'm surprised Allison wasn't already paired up with someone and was available to fill in for Peta. I will miss Peta, she's one of my fav.

Bindi must be real good. They gave her to Derek! LOL. I like that they had to bring Louis van Amstel back for Paula Deen. He's an old school dancer. Emphasis on the old... LOL. Then again so am i. LOL looks like a great season.
So you think you can dance finals are next week. The finalists are very good this year. You might enjoy the finals.
Much love

Don't forget tonight is the 1st night.

That opening was HOT!!! Loved them all dancing in the middle of NYC

Well, that was fun. I also loved the beginning, and I liked that they found music to match some of the individual dancers.
My critique:
* Victor (who was as cute as a button), Chaka (surprisingly lost), Paula, Kim, and Gary might as well pack their bags right now IMO.
*I thought all the rest had good potential. Hayes & Mindy were young, fun, peppy. The married couple, Carlos & Alexa both had very athletic, enuthuiastic performances. Tamar, Nick, Andy all had nice lines and nice dances, as did Alek, the hero from the train. I might vote for him for awhile just because he is an ordinary guy who did an extraordinary and brave thing.

I have to say I actually laughed out loud when Gary Busey came out to dance. Loved Bindis joy, poor Chakka really doesn't have the moves at all. I can't believe what Victor said about jockeys getting concussions, wow. Yes I voted for Alek as well, lovely to see a nice guy doing the work, I loved his into.0

Some train wrecks as usual, and a handful of real contenders. It'd be great if we could eliminate four or five right off the top rather than suffer through their performances for the next several weeks!
Paula seemed like she was high on medication, her smile was sooo big. Chaka Khan has the best name ever but no dance moves! Love her hair color, love that red; Sharna has great red hair, too. She has a certain kind of sexiness that I think will take her and Nick far.
Hays seemed a bit odd to me. Carlos was a delightful surprise, I think we'll get some good dances from he and Witney. Kim has such big boobs! But I liked her dance, tho she was scored low. I'm looking forward to more of Bindi and Derek. She is the sweetest, tho I thought her green costume didn't flatter her. She has such charisma.0 -
btw, I did miss Len but liked having only 3 judges and hope they don't keep adding a fourth.

Amen!

i loved Bindi. She is just really the cutest thing. Of course her music just had to be Crocodile Rock! LOL
I don't care how good anyone was. They shouldn't be giving 8s the first day.

I'm also glad they mixed things up just a bit. Mark isn't with Bindi, usually they put him with the youngest gal contestant. Emma isn't with some older fart who's likeable but can't dance, she's got a young fellow.0
-
Where's Max? I love to watch him dance. Very handsome!

The show isn't over tonight yet, but I see a lot of contenders! Carlos, the guy who stopped the terrorists, Val's partner, don't remember her name but loved how she said she didn't want to be thrusting when thinking about her family. She got lots of points from me for that comment. The jockey is so comical cuz he is just like a little kid. Anyway, enjoyable show.
Carrie Anne, Julianne and Erin all look great, The suit Erin is wearing "suits" her better than some of those athletic looking gowns she wears.

Agreed, and Bindi just did a knock up job as well.
* Not surprised by the going home announcement.....could have sent them both home without me feeling at all bad.
I am sad because I have a meeting tomorrow night. I wish they wouldn't mess with the times!
