I really like the young boy from the Paris train too, Bindi I think is adorable her happiness is infectious, Ruth as sad as I am to say this I wouldn't mind if Gary stays around for a few weeks, just for the entertainment value and you need to get a DVR I was out late last night so when I got home watched and just flipped through all the ads and the fluff bits.

I caught the last hour of Tuesday's show and enjoyed the professionals who all talked for a minute or two about themselves. Elimination was appropriate. I am waiting for Paula Deen to go, for some reason, her as a dancer turns me off, she is just a bit odd. I have a lot of favorites at this point and see no front runner pulling away from the pack. There are a number of them who seem like they have potential

I didn't see any of it, just googled who went. I'd say Paula & Cheryl's Gary should be next to get the boot. After that, anything could happen. For those who watched last night, is there anything I need to go back and watch?

Ruth, at this early stage, nothing was extra special enough to bother watching. The best is yet to come

i try not to watch it live. I Dvr it so I can skip all the fluff. I fast forward through the rehearsal bits too. LOL

Bindi just seems to be a real person. The fact that she loves heavy metal is just so rught! LOL

Alek, the Paris guy, does pretty good. I think the jockey I'd just enjoying life! . I don't really care about anyone else yet. But Paula does about t a bit weird. You are right .

Missed the first half hour (I am taking a class that lasts until 7:15). So.....I missed Paula and Carlos. But here are my impressions of the rest:

Tamar-almost seems too 'cool/aloof', haven't connected with her yet.

Alexa- good dancer, I sure wish Mark wouldn't always do such strange costuming, it takes away from the dance to me.

Andy-doesn't really do anything for me as of yet

Gary-can't vote for him, but he is sure a hoot!

Alec-along with liking him as a person, he has turned out to be a good dancer too!

Bindi-very fun, full of life. I thought she did great even if the judges weren't so pleased

Kim-hmmm....is it me or did she seem rather ungracious?

Nick, I really loved that dance

Hayes- again, I felt the goofy costume detracted from the dance.

*I thought the 4th judge was okay but unnecessary

Good observations, Ruth. Why was anyone surprised when Kim was eliminated? They've had plenty of stars prior to this who've had to quit for various troubles. She has too much on her plate as it is. And I don't see making a special exception for her or for anyone regardless of who they are.

It was entertaining seeing the different dances to the TV themes. As a big Downton Abbey fan, Nick dance was my favorite as it was so well done. Bindi was adorable

I didn't get home till late so watched it while I ate dinner and flipped through all the fluff. Ruth, Tamar is the "baby" of the Braxtons and she is married to an extremely wealthy man (he is Lady Gagas manager) she "lives the life" so yup she does have that attitude but she is an extremely hard worker in her music career and I surmise it's the same for her dancing and she's really hard on herself. I just love Bindi and yes Mark does come up with some weird ass dances. I really like Alec and for having absolutely no dance experience he is terrific. Hayes I don't even connect with. Loved Nick and Sharna and that being said Ruth and MrsM I know you are both big Downton fans - I have seen the first 2 episodes of the new series, my friend has a British box and invited me over and we watched last weeks episode and then the live stream from the UK of sundays episode, it's good, really good.......

Lovely evening (other than Erin's dress). I had tears in my eyes from many of the stories & thought the dances were well executed. Blown away by Bindi and Derek. Wow!

A nice evening; Alfonso did great. Loved the stories. I was in tears with Bindi's story, and her dance blew me away, too. Amazing. Hayes was really good, too.

I thought so too. He had very sharp moves and followed through on all of them. Interesting that two of the top contenders (in my mind) are so very young.

You forget how young Bindi was when she lost her Dad, her tribute was beautiful and I even voted for Hayes I thought he was terrific also really liked Nick.

I'm so glad Bindi wasn't paired with Mark. Not sure why Mark had Alexa with the drab hair, glasses and dress. He's just weird. I think Paula should be and hopefully will be the next to go. Then it will really get good. Many contenders this season. I heard Maks is a guest judge this week. And here is a list of the switch off pairings. The only odd one is Tamar with Louis due to the height difference.

Tamar Braxton partnered with Louis van Amstel

Paula Deen partnered with Mark Ballas

Alexa PenaVega partnered with Derek Hough

Carlos PenaVega partnered with Lindsay Arnold

Alek Skarlatos partnered with Emma Slater

Hayes Grier partnered with Allison Holker

Andy Grammer partnered with Sharna Burgess

Nick Carter partnered with Witney Carson

Also add, Bindi Irwin partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy

I think Mark has gone totally weird too. The costuming he does now detracts, not adds to his dancers. I am glad he got Paula so he wouldn't screw anybody else up. Yes, she definitely should be the next to go.

We had unexpected company so missed the first 40 minutes. ARGH! I didn't see Paula, Hayes, or Tamar. Sad Any remarks about their dances before I vote. I really liked all the dances I saw & the switch up seemed like it brought out the best of the contestants. My oh my, Maks is a thing of beauty, isn't he!!!!! Even cuter with a little longer hair.

Yes, the best were saved for later in the show. Tamar has potential, but she has that cold shoulder kinda feel and her and Loiuie got 7s. Hayes was okay, Paula was actually okay, I preferred seeing her in the casual costume she wore last night rather than all dolled up. Mark did a good job with her.

I cracked up when Alek was so honest about having the hots for Emma. He dances with Lindsay, who's quite a fox herself, yet couldn't concentrate around Emma.

Thanks, I won't go back and look for their dances then. Tamar has never clicked with me. I thought there was really good chemistry between all the switched-up couples I saw, which was fun as I usually haven't liked the switch week.

I absolutely loved the show tonight. Tamar was great, loved the Janet Jackson Rythm Nation. Even enjoyed Paula doing Madonna, of all things. Vogue is my favorite Madonna song, and I always loved the MTV/ Marie Antoinette costuming. It was just fun to see all these iconic dances remade

Yes, it was GREAT! All the dances were fun and lively in there own way. I especially loved Andy's Gene Kelly routine & thought it cool that Olivia Newton John had actually danced with him. It should get really interesting now since the best dancers are the ones who are left.

Very fun night. My favorite dancers were Bindi, Carlos and Andy. I still don't feel Tamar at all. Loved both group dances!

It was a fun show. I especially loved Bindi, her dance was perfection. The first group dance was unbelievably amazing. I guess Leah is filling in for Erin temporarily who is doing some stuff for basketball or something. I don't mind her as a fill in. Last week she had way too much pale lipstick on but this week dialed it back some. Julianne looked beautiful, loved her hair and gown.

Not sure if Tamar realizes how well Bindi dances! Nick Carter, he doesn't have a certain wow factor. Mark and those scissor hands. Alexa probably wishes she had gotten Derrick For a partner instead of Bindi. How does Derrick manage to mold these women into such incredible dancer time after time?

Elimination not a big surprise. They all dance pretty good so at this point it's sort of about how big of a fan base they have.

    Another good show.

*Carlos surely looks nice without a shirt! I think his dancing has improved but am not sure because I was too busy looking at his bod....

*Alek-very sweet & likable. I can't imagine he will make it very much farther, but I like him.

*Andy- such as nice story about his mom, his dancing is sporadic though. One week great, the next so-so.

*Alexa-I liked her David & Goliath dance. She has improved too.

*Nick-very beautiful and moving dance. It well deserved it's high scores.

    * Bindi-love that girl! Lively, fun, polished.

    * Tamer-I liked her dance but still have trouble with her personality. She seems stand-off-ish to me.

I didn't like the camera placement for the Dance Off. I couldn't really watch what both couples were doing at once. I thought the Carlos/Bindi dance off was especially fun as they were really rooting for each other & I liked how they ended together.

Not surprised by who was eliminated but felt it could have been several others just as easily.

I never like dance offs, too confusing to watch.

I honestly believe it was intentional for Nick to win immunity, that it was planned. Even tho yes he had a dance deserving of 30 points. But then, with all the hoola about him and his wife expecting, Erin Andrews slips up and says, "so now you have immunity". And I really believe she was told that that was the plan for the evening. Because two more couples still had to dance. And while Tamar wasn't a 30, Bindi certainly was and in my opinion, the judges scored her a tiny bit lower so that Nick and his wife and Sharna could have that immunity spotlight all to themselves. I don't mind, but I do believe it was a bit conjured up by the producers. Tom Bergeron tried to deflect Erin's slip of the tongue by saying immunity hadn't been guaranteed at that point, but you'll never convince me! It was cute to find out they were having a boy.

Alexa is good but falters due to her partner. She's had several dances now where her shoes trip her up, too bad. Nick was great. Tamar doesn't connect, I very much agree. As veteran watchers of this show, we know what the chemistry needs to be!

Must say a few things about Bindi. I think she's incredible. Who knew that the Crocodile hunter's daughter would be, could be developed into such an amazing dancer & entrtainer! You can't help but like her, and Derrick has molded another woman into an amazing dancer. It almost defies imagination. I think mirror ball trophy is hers for the taking.

Ah, that was true about the 'you have immunity statement' (which I thought was an odd thing to say with 2 very good dancers left). Would it not be fun to dance with Derrick for a week (or until one's feet gave out)?!!!

My dislike for Mark Ballas continues. I deplore man buns, and he wears one every week in practice. Then he had French braids in his hair during their routine. It's just too effeminate for my taste. At least he's not getting away with too many weird animal costumes and funky makeup on Alexa. I loved their routine, the music and concept but they didn't have the finesse. Mark and Alexa are also the names of my son and his girlfriend!

    Oh, btw, Carlos.....nice buff bod!
