    W.O.W.

    W.O.W

All I'm gonna say right now is I thought tonight was one of the most entertaining nights ever on Dancing With The Stars.  So many amazing performances.  I loved it.

Agreed. It was fantatic! I was tapping my foot and laughing outloud with enjoyment. I am going over to Facebook to vote now.

Kelly Pickler is an amazing dancer.  Her backstory is amazing, to see where she's come from.  I love listening to her talk.

Jacoby...simply awesome, his second dance with Karina was spectacular.

Ally, something about her resonates with me.  She is so much the girl next door...with incredible drive and talent, and that quiet confidence that gives her an understated sparkle.

But Zendaya...my my my, that hip hop dance was simply perfect.  Perfect.  From the costuming of Val in a nerdy suit, the pink and blue/grey outfit she had on with a bit of sequins to the music to the choregraphy, it was a joy to watch and sheer fun. I think what she has that Kelly doesn't is a different connection with the audience.  That may be from any number of factors, one of which is what her partner brings out in her.

Ingo should be gone tonight. The others are simply on a higher caliber.

    *Kellie, beautiful lines

*Jacoby, so fun, strong, and physical

    *Ally, strong, athletic, graceful

*Zendaya, like watching (an energetic) fairy dance!

I just came across this article that says the 'results show' on Tuesday is going to be eliminated, and they'll just combine it with the Monday night show.  I guess that will start next season.

'Dancing With the Stars' to lose results shows

Tired of the filler on the "Dancing With the Stars" results shows each Tuesday? Seems like ABC might be as well.

In a press release about its 2013-2014 TV schedule, the network revealed that it is cutting the ballroom bash down to just a two-hour Monday show.

" 'Dancing with the Stars' will now air from 8-10 p.m. on Mondays, integrating the performance show and results show into one night and making each episode action-packed event television," states the press release.

"We want to focus it in by taking the results show and building it into the two-hour block on Mondays to really drive viewership," Paul Lee, president of ABC's entertainment group, told reporters.

ABC has not yet revealed how the results would be integrated into the performance shows.

Taking the place of "Dancing's" results shows on Tuesday nights this fall are comedies "The Goldbergs" at 9 and "Trophy Wife" at 9:30.

ABC is due to make its upfronts presentation later in the day May 14, when more details about the "DWTS" change may emerge.

I hope they make some provision for voting participation for those of us who see the show on taped delay due to time zones!

I don't know how they can do that and have audience votes....Frown

About tonight.....Ingo is certainly a gracious guy. I think this has been the most likable cast ever, and really, anybody could win it.

They will probably start the show with the elimination and that will be hard on the eliminated dancer as they will have to learn a dance and then not do it, we'll that's what I'm thinking.....

    Well, no surprise about Ingo.

I'm not sure how they'll do the voting next season, but I will be glad to be rid of a one hour results show every week.  I didn't even watch last night because I knew the outcome and I didn't have time, so I wasn't worried about missing it.  I'm sure that went into their decision to combine the shows.  Probably drastic ratings drops for Tuesday, especially the first number of weeks during the season.

Divine - I tend to be the other way and watch only bits of Monday and more of Tuesday. Though sure decision is money driven in that one of the days does not have the viewership. You'd think it was Tuesday by their decision but could be Monday as well. Agreed Ingo was the one to go but I did like him. I can't remember back on GH when he started if he was already a hit in something else. Don't get this wrong but his wife is pretty plain Jane for his stardom, which I like.

Am OK with just a Mon night show because I can't watch Tues.  This is only my 2nd season.  Started watching last season because of Donald Driver.  Thought I was spoiled by the talent last season but oh my this season the bar is so high.  The start of Mon's show was spectacular, with Kellie & Derek's Argentine tango in silhouette.  Didn't much care for that particular dance until then.  The end of the show was fantastic, with Zendaya & Val's hip hop.  Lots of great dancing in between and agree Ingo was the right choice to go.  Looking forward to next week!

I wonder what will happen with all the background dancers, they have a big troupe, are they going to get incorporated into the show. Like you Badger loved the Argentine Tango and Val and Zendayas Hip Hop, I'm sorry another season is coming to an end.

I came across this article today:

Tom Bergeron on 'DWTS' results show shakeup: Our numbers have been slipping

After hosting ballroom boots for 16 seasons, the Tuesday night results show on "Dancing With the Stars" will soon be sent packing too. Starting next season, ABC will only broadcast one two-hour episode of the dance competition each week.

Host Tom Bergeron and several of the show’s veteran pro dancers shared their thoughts on the move after the most recent results show.

“I’m kind of a ‘the glass is half full’ type guy,” Bergeron told TODAY.com on the red carpet leading into the show’s 300th episode party. “I get the rationale behind it. There’s no denying that our numbers have been slipping.”

The impetus behind axing the Tuesday results show is to drive those viewers to the Monday performance and get a stronger rating there.

Plus, it’ll keep producers from wracking their brains on how to fill up three hours of programming each week.

“There have been times in the past -- and this will not come as a news flash to you -- we’re stretching to fill two hours,” Bergeron noted. “How much water can you put in the soup? This (change) will afford us the luxury of not having to worry about that. Now, (we’ll have) an embarrassment of riches in what we can do.”

“It’s obviously sad,” said pro dancer Cheryl Burke. “We’ve been going twice a week for the past 16 seasons.

“But I think it’s going to be a great change,” the two-time mirror ball champion hastened to add. “It’ll keep people interested in the show. You’re going to see lots of entertainment, competitors and elimination every single Monday.”

“I have two minds about it,” said Derek Hough, the competition’s only three-time champion. “The show is going to make it work and it’ll be fantastic, but I’m going to miss doing special performances on the Tuesday shows. I will enjoy having that extra day of rehearsal on Tuesday.”

Perhaps the people most affected by this move will be members of the "Dancing With the Stars" troupe -- the farm team of dance pros that currently includes Sasha Farber and Henry Byalikov. Troupe members who’ve been bumped up to being paired with celebrities include Peta Murgatroyd and Sharna Burgess.

“I was thinking of those guys (in the troupe),” Murgatroyd said. “It’s kind of disappointing for them, but (the show) could still have them do a number on Monday night.”

Pro dancer Tony Dovolani predicts that the format of the show will evolve as the new production model is put into place.

“As the season goes on and more people get eliminated the more time we’ll have to put some of those dances (previously seen on Tuesdays) in on Mondays,” he pointed out.

Bergeron and the dancers are in unison on one thing – the dramatic eliminations will likely occur at the end of the show, not the beginning.

“Mark Ballas and I were talking about this,” Bergeron says. “While I’m not the ultimate decider, as someone once famously said, I think it’d be more dramatic to have (the elimination) at the end of the show.”

Oh my!  Wow!  I think Kelly may have pulled out a win with that last dance!  Not sure Zendaya and Val's freestyle had enough pizzaz.  Ally's dance was also incredible.

Yes, they went in the right direction with that dance.  I'm not sure I ever saw a celebrity on there dance like that.  When he held her feet under his shoulders and she leaned forward...it was amazing.  Really, no bells and whistles, just pure pure dancing.

Yes!  I loved Len dancing with the Housewife, and Kristi Yamaguchi dancing with Dorothy Hamill...Wynonna was enjoyable, too.  It looked like Zendaya was a bit stunned and disappointed but she got out danced in the freestyle, and if you make it that far in the competition, it all comes down to that.  So congrats to Kelly & Derek.  I loved that Kelly wasn't all dramatic throughout the season, she just kept getting out there and showing us her stuff.  What a talent she is!

I too will be suffering withdrawals, absolutely loved the season. Congratulations to Kelly and Derek, she was amazing from week 1 and the freestyle simply took her over the top, loved Zendaya and yes I too though she seemed a little disappointed but she quickly recovered and was gracious. See you all in September.

I caught a bit of a story that a couple of the judges, Carrie Ann one of them and not sure if it's Len, too, but their contracts are up, so there might be a change in the judges line up.  That will change the whole show's chemistry, and not sure that's a good thing, because the three are so perfect for what they do.  So we'll see.

But at the same time if newcomers come in what better time than with a shakeup in the programming. At the same time I don't want to lose anyone though Carrie I do like the least. What I just read is that none of them have a contract for next season but also that is not unusual at this stage. It's hard to believe it started in June 2005.

I love all the judges.  They have perfect chemistry.  The few times they've brought on a guest judge, I've hated it.  The one person I'd like to see go is Brooke Burke.  She is just so plastic to me.  lol.

My husband and I often watch Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune.  When the time comes for the host to chit-chat with the contestants, I always mute the TV; I pretty much hate that portion of the show.  On DWTS, when a dance couple finishes their routine and runs up to talk to Brooke, I mute the TV!  She asks the same dull, bland, snooze-fest questions time after time.

I didn't start watching the show until the end of the season with Emmit Smith and Mario Lopez.  A co-worker would come in and tell me about it.  I've been hooked ever since.

Chiming in late with a shout out to Kellie and Derek.  Agree with the above comments re: amazing choreography, musicality, and physicality.  Zendaya has a bright future but she's still a kid and I'm glad that Kellie won.  Looking forward to next season, whatever it brings!

Do you ever wonder how well you could dance if you got hours and hours of practice with a pro, great props, costumes, makeup, and a spray tan?

And, if so, which pro would you like to be parred with?
