Oh my goodness, Paula! I was just wondering what I would do if I ever saw one of those guys on the beach - probably "accidentally" bump into them. I've never been accused of being shy - lol!

Well, kinda sorta got some feedback on my biopsy today. The MO who said she would get it Tuesday had her nurse call me today and say they don't have it yet, but my CA 27/29 was good - 13.

Fortunately, I didn't count on them and called the surgeon's office earlier for backup and the girl who called me back acted like she didn't know what she was reading and somewhere in the middle of it said the word "benign". I kept trying to clarify - I said, "A BIRADS 4b is benign?" and finally asked her if she could fax it to me. Then my fax machine wasn't working so I had to wait until my son got home from work to help me get it going.  It printed off what she sent me, and I can see why she was stumbling with her words - it doesn't make much sense. So like I said to somebody today, they may as well have not told me they could get the results back any earlier, because my appointment with the surgeon to go over this is tomorrow anyway. When I woke up this morning I decided I was so over it I didn't even want to know what it said. I had made it through the huge grief period with no answers. But, I'm 90% certain it's benign. Thank you, Lord, I have been praying so hard for that. But on the one page she sent me, it says the radiologist saw something at the 10 o'clock position and the specimen was marked as 7 o' clock. Then it said, "please correlate with operative and imaging findings." Ugh! Does this never end?

Amazing how physically exhausted I am after being in such a high state of anxiety since last Tuesday when I had the mammogram. So a week plus a day of that stress took all my strength! I had been doing PT for my knee and I was feeling super strong until that mammogram - now I feel super weak, just like that. I will definitely start exercising again tomorrow, hopefully it won't take too long to feel good again. But that statement about correlating the spot makes me think ANOTHER mammogram is coming up. Maybe I can beg for an ultrasound. My breast is still very sore - I can't hold the phone with that arm for very long, reaching for things hurts, sleeping on it or turning over in bed hurts. I don't see how they could do a mammogram without it bleeding again. Well, I'll let you know what the surgeon says tomorrow - can't wait for some clarification on all this.

Thank you again everyone for all your prayers! They really worked! I just can't believe it went from a BIRADS 4b to benign! 2 out of 3 doctors thought it was malignant (haha, that sounds like a bad commercial).

Jane, I pray that your family comes together and that your father has the peace of knowing how loved he is.

I just started month three on Tamoxifen....yeah there are the nite sweats, deteriorating nails and thinning hair (the BioSil and Biotin DO seem to help)......but overall the SE's have been manageable. I think my MO will be changing me to an aromasen after one full year....but I was considering asking to stay on the Tamo longer before changing to the bone sucking aromasen......but I just read on another thread that Tamoxifen is not as effective on HER2+ . Anyone else hear that?

Heartnsoul - will keep praying for good results for you.  Waiting stress is always the worst.

Thanks to everyone for your understanding and kind thoughts.  I had a good cry (that I really needed) after reading them.  Tami sisters are the best!

We have a close famly and I know we will make it through.  I think the 2 in denial are coming around and realize that they need to make the best of the coming weeks.

Been off shift for a couple of days which allowed me to return home and get a few hugs from DH and destress a little.  Back on in a couple of days, but know that can do this.

The eye candy was a nice diversion too.

This has been a busy crazy week.  Have been getting ready for a banquet that we are putting on tonight.  Tomorrow I leave for my annual girlfriend trip.  We are heading to the beach this year.  Monday I have my Pre-op for my exchange surgery and then Wed I have to meet with the gasto Dr to make the arrangements for the dreaded age 50 colonoscopy.  So pocket parties are in order for next week.  I'll be so busy over the weekend i know I won't check in but I'll try Sunday night if Paula promises to post some really great eye candy.

Yahoo for the man candy!!!!  He is hot hot hot.  He can rope me anytime!!!

I surely get you some mancandy Sherry.  It may be a late post because we're headed to the sticks, so no kind of cell sevice.  I don't even try bringing the laptop because I now it won't work.  When the kids get board they walk around until the get one bar then you have to stay right there and not move.  Or you have to walk out on the spill way and this chic isn't going to do that.

HOORAY! It IS benign! I told y'all the pathology report was so unclear, the place where they used benign didn't seem to fit.  So the doctor clarified it for me.  He said that's not where it says it's benign - he said it's written in "cancer code".  Where it said "No atypical proliferative lesions are identified" is where it says benign.  He said not only do you not have cancer, there are no pre-cancerous cells either!  Oh, man, I am going to celebrate tonight - don't know how but I think I'll just get off the merry-go-round for one day and actually watch TV, maybe rent a movie.

I absolutely could not have made it over this mountain without talking with you ladies - thank you, thank you!

Sherry - you have a crazy week coming up, hope it flies by for you (except the beach part).  That is one fine cowboy - now I don't know if I prefer the beach boys or the cowboys!

Jane - so glad your family is starting to pull together for your dad.  It will make it so much better for everyone, and I hope your father proves the doctors wrong and enjoys much more time with all of you.

Chachamom - The first thought that went through my head if it was malignant was that she would take me off Tamoxifen and put me on one of the AI's. I certainly understand you not wanting to do those. Maybe there is a Her2+ thread on here where you can find the answer.

Now I'm going to lay down for a little bit and daydream about that cowboy!

heartnsoul - Yay!  Doing the happy dance. Glad to hear B9.

Will need a pocket party on Tues.  Having outpatient surgery - more revision work on the boob.  He needs to go in and once again cut the nerves to the muscle he used to make the new boob.  Also, my poor little nipple is still pointing down a bit and he wants to do an areola lift.  Never even thought to ask about the nipple but did ask about the muscle still contracting.  It gets to be a pain when it tightens.  Should be able to go back to work on Wed.

Linda - Thanks so much. I love my PS - so glad he is a perfectionist.  This whole recon thing has done wonders for my self esteem.  I don't cringe anymore when I stand in front of the mirror to get dressed.

Hi there!  I've been on Tamoxifen for about 6 weeks and just started feeling a little nauseous during the day for the past week.  Anybody else have that side effect?

Love74 - I had nausea at the beginning.  I took the whole pill at breakfast with a glass of milk and that helped quite a bit.  After a couple of months, it seems my body adjusted to it and I no longer have to do the milk but I made sure I take it with food - sometimes a snack.

Love just like you I was having some mild tummy issues.  I would cut it in half taking half in the am and half in the pm until I got use to it.  Have you started any new meds along with the Tammo.  I know that they have all kinds of stuff for us to take for SE.

Now it's my turn for B9, yahoo!!  doing mental cart wheels as I type.  Onc says that she'll keep and eye on it at each visit.  If I start having issues then I'll go see another doctor, ugh.  Lets just hope that its a sllllllllllllow growing mass.

sherryc- I am sure you could have it while you are off for your exchange.  The whole thing is three days.  One day to fast then  it is just a matter of  flushing your insides out for the test.  And the test itself is short and outpatient.

Hope all of you are having a good weekend.  It's still hot here.... lucky for me, I enjoy being warm more than being cold!

Question for you who have been on and/or on/off/on tamoxifen: one of the biggest QOL issues for me was severe hot flashes every 30-40 minutes, nearly passing out with them, unable to even THINK during one.  The other big SE was severe mood swings & depression.  A few other SEs as well, but nothing that made me want to kill myself or others like the HF & depression.  Now I have been off it for several months, am feeling like a human being again, and actually have had moments of joy and pleasure so that I can enjoy life.  Now I have new "spot" on PET scan, waiting for MRI this week, hoping it is just one of those "false positives" but also realizing that tamoxifen may be the best or only treatment for me right now, and wondered: as you are on the tammi longer, do these horrible SEs decrease at all?  And if so, how long did it take?  I still just am not sure it will even work for me (no one knows for sure), and if it's possible to take it again with fewer SEs, I may consider it.  Then again, I may just want to live more fully as long as I can rather than live longer with misery.  So hard to know.  Need a crystal ball.

    Lovingkindness to all of you.
