Shera, I had chemo in Feb 2011 and that was the last cycle I had. I haven't even had any spotting at all. Not that I'm complaining, but I just wasn't ready for this next phase of my life. As crazy as it sounds, I feel cheated out of it. I was forced into it and wasn't ready. It just makes alot of things final in my head. Ok now I'm rambling. Anyways I think Jules was in the same boat then had some spotting as of late. My MO says that can still happen, just need to watch for any excessive bleeding. Have you had a trans vag ultra sound yet? Noe would be a good time so you can keep an eye on anything.
Well back to the salt mines for this chic. Love and light to you all my Tammo Sistas! Love ya!

Just got the call from my MO: I DO have a brain (that's good, she said!) and nothing suspicious there, and the MRI of the thoracic spine is also B9!!! False positive from the PET scan - woohooo!!!! I think I may just skip any further scans unless I am having symptoms - don't want to have to go through more and more testing just because some tests are super-sensitive. Celebrating tonight - I think I was more anxious and scared than I wanted to admit. Thanks for being with me, and I was truly surprised at how remarkably well-behaved a couple of you were (you know who I mean!)
Jo, hope you are still feeling good today. Sandee, nice to have you check in occasionally! Tink, your vacation sounded fantastic - you looked great in all your pics - welcome back!
Hugs to all of you, and the drinks are on me tonight!!!0 -
Just back from being away on a week's palliative care duty for my dad. 4 days at home and then back for another week.
Will try and catch up tomorrow, hope everyone is doing well.
Glad your surgery went well Jo

Thanks for your replies.
I'm wondering what a pocket party is....
I meet with my onc next week and will talk to him about tamox and surgery -- I'd just read that some women are told to stop tam for surgery -- interesting that not all docs feel the same about it.
Paula -- haven't had anyone mention anything about getting a trans vaginal ultra sound.... will add that to the things I talk to onc about! I agree about feeling cheating. Even though it's small compared to losing a breast. I should've had a 8-10 more years before menopause... and we all know menopause brings faster aging and weight gain --- though I am trying to focus on women who prove to stay youthful and slim post-menopause.
Anyone doing anything / taking anything to compensate for early menopause?
I thought I had a few more years to research all of that -- oh well.
Just happy tamox isn't seeming to do much other than hot flashes and increased appetite / bloated feeling in stomach.
Nice eye candy picture just before bedtime

WELCOME Shera!!! I remember thinking Tamox wasn't doing anything to me, NOW..... HA HA HA!!! fprget that subject!!! I don't remember having to stop my Tamox for anything other than rads. As for the hotflashes, I'm on Effexor and it seems to work great and this with a hysterectomy at the same time!!!! Paula mentioned a vag ultrasound. That's what they useed to find my fibroid. Not bad at all and the biopsy was pretty simple....OMG!!!! That's coming from the CHICKEN!!!!!!
I've kinda been hiding out on FB in our "40"group and so I have just SKIMMED through to catch up!! BUT if any of you go to have "Pelvic Disfunction" rehab because everything fell after my hyster.... BEWARE!!!!!! Not what I expected AT ALL!!!!!!! UGH!
Jo, I'm glad your surgery went good!! I can't wait to see what my PS has to say!!! One foob moves and the other one, well it's STUCK! It's the radiated one and the one I just has biopsied and the lump removed because he (PS) must have forgotten a stitch and it turned into a granuloma. BUT it was b9 and that's all that matters!!!!!!
OK.... Time to check in on 40 Something too!!! I hope Shera found everyone there too!!!! LOL

Shera my mom went through natural menopause in her early 40's. She is now 76 and still looks younger than her age.
I have had one heck of a week so going to the movies tonight to see the new Bourne Legacy movie.0 -
sherryc- You have fun your movie this weekend. After everything you have gone through recently, you sure deserve it!

momx3 -- I will check out the "40 thread" thanks.... and of course I'd love for you to elaborate on what and when tamox changed for you... if you feel like it.
SherryC -- thats awesome to hear about your mom! Thank you for sharing that. How does she stay so youthful? Exercise and good diet... or more? My mother didn't go through the change until she was in her 50's.... so assume I would have followed suit. But it doesn't really matter now! Gotta take hold of the cards dealt.

momx3 --- I don't see a "40's" thread. Only a "40-60's" thread. Can you share the link?0

Sandee, miss you! Computer issues is one of the worst things to be dealing with, but tossing in losses of loved ones and transcontinental travel - geez - you are either one incredibly strong woman or a bit crazy... (I'm guessing a bit of both). Seriously, I am so sorry to hear of your best friend's losses. Sending loving thoughts to you and your friend.
Ridergirl, some of these ladies just EXIST for pocket parties!!!! They will be there at the drop of a pin, all you gotta do is just ask. Some are relatively well-behaved (like myself) and you have to watch out for others (like Tink, Paula, June....). We will all supply love, laughs if you need them, virtual sweets, booze, or eye candy - anything to help get through the waiting, anxiety, emotional ups and downs.
I only have 3 appts this week! PCP today, support group tomorrow, and LE evaluation Friday. I am not too stressed about any of them as I am FINALLY feeling a bit better overall, with a little positive energy and positive attitude. I just realized this morning (duhhhh...) that I AM A VERY STRONG WOMAN AND I LOVE MYSELF FOR ALL I HAVE DONE AND ALL THAT I AM, AND I FORGIVE MYSELF FOR ANY "MISTAKES" I MAY HAVE MADE IN THIS BREAST CANCER JOURNEY.
Sending lovingkindness to myself and to all my Tammi sistas.

Hi everyone. I've been away for about a month and just thought I would check in. I think I've missed way too many posts to go back and try to read them all. I'll just say that I hope you all are doing well and that if I missed any pocket parties I hope that your doctors' visits went well and that you all stayed out of trouble! I did see some interesting eye candy as I quickly scrolled through the posts!
I hope you all have a good day today.

Shera I wish I could say my mom exercised and ate well but none of that is true. She has never exercised and her eating habits have not been the best in the world. In the last couple of years she has started to eat better now if I can just convince her to start exercising. I think the way we age has alot to do with genes.

Well is Monday and you all know what that means right? It's Manday instead!!! Enjoy it girls!!
