Sherry, try not to worry about the exchange surgery. I was at the hospital by noon and leaving by 5 p.m with considerably SOFTER squishies which actually get softer as they settle over the next few weeks. Was the easiest thing I did... Will be there with you and will even bring some goodies!

Have a question for the Mylan brand girls.... Anyone else had trouble getting Tamoxifen? My pharmacy told me they (Mylan) are having production issues so they were unable to get that brand for my refill. Luckily I was able to transfer to another pharmacy to get the brand I wanted but am wondering if this is truly going to be an issue or if the pharmacy was just trying to push me to convert to their brand (they were special ordering for me) ... May be a non issue but I wanted to stay with the brand I am used to since I know my evils with it! LOL

sherryc- good luck with your exchange Tuesday. I will be in your pocket as well.  I thought the exchange was the easiest surgery of them all!

    paula- can't wait for Manday!

Thanks for all the encouraging words. Went with DH to the movies today and saw Campaign. OMG, sooooooo funny, a bit raw but still way too funny.

Jo you need a break on this reconstruction.

Tamoxifen is beginning to disrupt my sleep.  I don't mind waking up an hour earlier than normal, but I hope it doesn't leak into earlier hours.

    Wide awake in NYC,

bgirl, glad you can be there with your dad - I am always grateful for the days we had with mine, even the last few that were so painful for all of us, but it was a shared experience in love that was central - may you experience the same love.

Sherry & Jo, lots of good wishes.

Paula, all I can say is "oh, yeh baby, oh, yeh..." between drools. Now wiping up.

Jo I slept fine last night.  Have started my last bit of prep so staying close to the bathroom, haha

scorrchy I had the same issue with my sleep but it did get better. It took a few months though.  I finallly resorted to Lunesta for a while and then finally quit taking it and was fine.

Thanks for the info, Sherryc.  I thought that perhaps that the body just needed to wrap itself around the Tamoxifen and would level out over time.

Waking up an hour early might not be so bad.  I actually got a few things done before I left for the office.

Called my PS this morning and got in to see him already.  So don't have to go on Wed.  he drained 80 ccs of fluid and I have to wear a compression wrap for the next 24 hours.  The wrap looks like an over sized ace wrap and attachs with velcro.  Kinda cool but really hot.  He may have to drain it one more time.  I have a follow up next week on Wed - the day before we head out on our cruise.

Hi Ladies! Sorry I've missed so much lately. I actually had knee surgery and didn't think it would be such a big deal, but boy am I suffering! It was scheduled for the week after the biopsy nightmare and I didn't really have much time to think about it - surgery just kind of surprised me, I guess because I was so caught up with the biopsy. I've had a troublesome knee for years and just finished trying PT again. Finally decided to have the knee joint replaced - yikes! My mother had hers done and had no problems, so I wasn't worried about it - or really mentally prepared for it. I think the scary biopsy wiped out my mental/emotional capacity for trauma! So the past 2 weeks I've either been sleeping, exercising or elevating my leg - hard to find the time to even get on the computer. I asked my PT to make up a schedule for me so I wouldn't forget everything I'm supposed to do - just one round takes 6 hours and I'm supposed to do most things twice, some things 3-4 times! Well, I can only do the best I can do and I'm trying to look ahead to being pain-free for the first time in a long time. I think I've learned something about myself - I'm not entirely comfortable with something unless I've worried about it for a while! Of course, worrying does no good but it does make me think of every possibility so it kind of prepares me. I was SO not prepared this time!

Jo - glad you got in to see the doctor today and they got some fluid drained off. Hope this is the last of the fluid!

Sherry - good luck tomorrow (today really)!

Paula - I see you've been keeping the ladies inspired!

Sandee - When are you moving? It seems to be coming up fast! I found out there is a dragonboat racing team about an hour from me. I think I will check into it, it sounds like so much fun!

Jane - so sorry to hear about your dad. I still miss mine and it's been 10 years; feels like yesterday but the grief is different now. It's like I know he's okay, I just miss him. Prayers for you and your family.

Jane so sorry about your Dad, will keep you and your family in prayers.

heartnsould sorry your knee is giving you trouble, hopefully the Pt will have you good as new very soon.

Well had the colonoscopy and endoscopy yesterday.  Prep was horrid but procedure was fine i was asleep. haha.  Anyway I was pretty sure he would find gastritis and he did, he also thought my esophagus was small and was going to stretch it which it was small so he did the stretch.  But then he found two polps in my stomach and removed those.  So when he did the colonoscopy I knew I had hemorrhoids but did not know if they needed to be fixed and yes they do so that will be soon, but I also had two polpys in my large intestine and he removed those.  I did not see the polpys coming at all in my  stomach or colon.  So I won myself the 5 year plan instead of the ten year plan.  The good news is he thinks they are fine but of course they have to go to pathology for sure. Not really worried because on the pics they look pretty small.  Was planning on going to eat a big dinner afterwards and because of the stretching of the esophagus I had to go with soft foods.  So we went to Red Lobster and I got clam chowder and baked potato.  I am now awake at 5:30 and anxious about my exchange surgery in a few hours.  DH got a new computer and I was switching everything over so we are heading to the apple store before surgery to make sure his icloud thingy is working properly.  That will be a good distraction. It will be late when I get home so if I don't check in don't worry I will as soon as I can.  Don't know what i would do without my tammi sisters.
