These are some of my beach finds this evening.
Makes me want to take a nap. good night, will check in later if I can. Grandson will probably have the computer. ( we will have to take turns)

it rained today so i did not get to see the sculpture garden with pool, but i did get the Coldstone Creamery Ice Cream.......yum yumm!! just like Benihana...the ice cream clerk has an ice cream scoop in each hand and she puts a glob of your selected flavor on a marble slab and puts your choice of berries, chips, fruit, jimmies or whatever on your glob and then mashes and mixes it with the scoops, and deposits it in the waffle bowl or cone of your choice. some of those are dipped in chocolate and then dipped in jimmies or other stuff. the sizes are "like it", "love it", or "must have it". We each had cheesecake icecream with added graham cracker crumbs, strawberries, blueberries in "must have it" size waffle bowls (undipped). $15.00 for both!!! i couldn't finish mine and hubby took over after he finished his. Wow!.....now i don't want to look at any cheesecake or ice cream for a long time.
Spar i am diabetic too, but once in a while i splurge like today, since those no fat, no sugar ice creams aren't so exciting. Spar you are so much fun!!!! I would never white water raft!!!!
Julz, you sound like such a dedicated CNA. I am glad there are people like you in the medical field since unfortunately there are also medical professionals who leave a lot to be desired.

faith, are they batik-ing the scarves too besides painting them? how fun!!! and beeeeuuuutiful!!! i love the kitty sleeping bags....my cats would never ever get in and stay. you always have a good time wherever you are cuz you bring the good vibes with you!!! the only 4 or 5 year old thing i can think of is: learning to be brave around bullies.

jasmine, hope you are having fun with your watercolors. just be willing to make mistakes when you paint. if you let the idea of the clean white paper and the act of painting become too precious in your mind, you will get paralyzed. just let go and if it doesn't look right, turn the page and keep going. good luck and have fun!

This is my new rustic house being built, it is nearly 1900 sq ft and after living in my little 600 square foot farm house for this past year it seems huge. I love it. The living room, dineing room and kitchen is all a huge room with cathedral ceiling, 4 bed, 2 huge bathroom, and I am so excited. When moved to our land we will have a trillion trees in the front and a trillion trees in the back. I know it doesn't look like anything fancy but it will be perfect for us. Just wanted to share my joy. Also has a huge fireplace in the livingroom since its total electric we needed another way to heat in the winter incase the elec. goes off.
Celia so glad you got your ice cream, yes we have to splurge ever once in a while, they have something like that in Norman called Marble Slab where they do that,

Julz, are you a CNA? My DD is an LVN and loves it. She dropped out of high school and I finally convinced her she needed to get an education so she could take care of herself and the kids if she and her hubby split up. She said she always wanted to go into nursing and that's what she did. She loves it.
Spar, my grandson is diabetic - we discovered it 3-1/2 years ago. We've learned how to help him - it's hard for a pre-teen tho - that kid eats more than my hubby or son. His dad hasn't bothered to figure out what to do and that's a lot of responsibility for an 11 year old.

spar, what a wonderful house!! is it "stick built" or a manufactured home? It looks like it is up on blocks, so will you move it to your land where the trillion trees are??? woweee!!!! i bet you are thrilled!!!

Good Morning!! Beach beauties!!! I'm still flying high after yesterday's ArtsFestExtravaganza combined with Birthday blessings and an extra-ordinary meal.
I thought you'd appreciate seeing "Sister Bay" at our beach. This is the little village marina yesterday..... early while the clouds were looking questionable. Then the wind roared thru and gave us a perfect blue sky for the rest of the day.

Kite flying. Who wants to go fly a kite with me? Here's a lot to choose from. I LOVED this guys choices!! It was so windy in the afternoon, that his whole tent blew over from all of the twirling, whirling kites. This event was held right on the water-front and there were times when canvas were flapping, and I know our silk paints blew over more than once.

ENJOY!! I took this one over in the children's area. You get a glimpse of the blue sky later in the day. They had such a fantastic group of activities for children. I wanted to stay and play all day!

AND one final pic from yesterday...... as I was walking 'home' this sweet couple pulled in to park and join the festivities. I asked them to pose for you Spar. They were happy to oblige. So, the answer is YES!! You can motorcycle on a "three-wheeler" and in style too. This was a 'Gold Wing' and you see they have ALL the gear -- matching jackets w/mismatched sleeves (just loved that attention to detail) and helmets with radio/walkie talkie's so they can have conversations on the open road. CUTIES!!

Good morning Faith & to all my beach friends! It looks & sounds like you had a wonderful time at the festival. Clouds or not, know wonder you had a great time! Who wouldn't with a view like that! I would love to fly a kite. But I need to go get some sleep so I don't fall over from sleep deprivation!
Margo ~ I am a CNA 5 years! I do love it. Extremely tired as I worked all night & it was an extremely hard night!
The Hippa oath and all! Can't discuss! I'm glad I have off for the next to nights!Ceila ~ I do work nights. I have all along! It works well for me! Because of young ones. When there is a dr's appt. I can go, although sleepily sometimes! I have one of those this week! I will survive.

We all had a great time last night. Lot's of food and laffs. Stayed up way to late but it

I've lost interest in the Olympics already for reason's obvious on the news of our citizens

-seems if you take a day away from here it takes HOURS to catch up!! My family volunteered at the humane society dog wash yesterday so we were all very tired puppies when we got home.

Biker--we were in Sturgis the same time you were! Tho our trip thru was more of an accident we had a ball counting bikes & watching the show ppl put on just being who they all are!

Sahalie--watercolors---I tried my hand at that about a year ago----I wonder if I am "trying too hard & thinking too much" as someone cautioned Jazz ----will have to have another go at it (tho I did paint numerous flowers that satisfied me.......)
As I said---missing one day here has taken hours to catch up & I fear my attmpts to address everyone are falling short...Hi sige!!!! SEE??? This is all more than I expected, but my problem is that I'd like to see a sign that says "ALL ARE WELCOME" as I approach the shore line-----I'll give it a few days & see how a "Private Beach" feels instead......

Sahalie, have fun on you trip. Your suitcase is way too small for any of us to get to go to.
Celia, the house is built like a regular house, just somewhere else and we have it moved. It is made out of cedar, my dad when he was alive had said termites don't like cedar so thats why we chose it also we wanted rustic. Most people choose the vinyl siding. The man that is going to move it for us is also going to do the foundation. Doing it this way saved 10's of thousands of $ which on our retirement income we needed.
Julz, I loved the song and video, it was so peaceful. When is your next day off.
Faith, thanks for that picture of that motorcycle and that couple, that made my day. I want one of those kind of bikes. We could do some traveling on that and way save on gas.
Shrink, thanks for the compliment on my son, he is pretty wonderful (as all mothers think)

Saint, that is really funny you were in Sturgis the same time as me. My ps ended up there one year during bike week, and couldn't find a motel room in the whole state.

OK beachie-keenies.... I have an New August resolution. I've decided that for as long as we're here, I'm not gonna allow myself to turn on my computer until noon..... and I have to do my back stretching exercises, ride the bike and work in my studio -- before I get to come and play.
We'll see how I do. Self-discipline is not my strong suit. LOL.

Happy aches they be! LOL! Although my work is very DIRTY at times. I so do not mind, because I would wan't someone to be caring & compassionate with me if I could not take care of my personal needs. Everyone does the same personal business day in & day out! My experiences help to shape the person I am & the person I am becoming.....I have great Joy in taking care of people I have known for years. Teachers, people that have come to my wedding, relatives, people I know through church & people I have grown up with, within the community I have lived in all my life! I am able to give them special comfort in an uncertain time in there life!

Faith, I restrict myself to certain computer times too; i.e., I can't check the computer until I've gone to the gym, come home, gotten ready for work and still have a few minutes - doesn't work too well, or I would be super skinny.
