Morning beach combers! I'm passing out the sunscreen & cool drinks as it looks like a PERFECT day in southern Wisconsin. Cicadas are singing & the breeze is a caress......

Today we will go look for our "final" real estate---our cemetry plot!! hahahahaah----I plan to pick a prretty place right down the street from our home & next to our church. I take comfort in knowing where I will be......and they take payments without interest for a year!!! Who'd a thunk??? LOL

I hope no one finds this morbid or inappropriate. I tend to be pragmatic & call a spade a spade! How do you feel about this subject? Worth a post? Rather not?

I was on a radio call-in show in Chicago this AM talking about the value of ALL life-even mine!! It was a fun way to start the day & set a lovely tone to go with the lovely weather! Hope you all are enjoying the beauty that today brings to your spot on the beach.

    Hugs-be well & stay strong!

Today is a good day for a frolic on the beach. i bet that faith is exercising and won't be here till noon.  I bet Sahalie is having an extra long sleep after having enjoyed the company of friends. Lisa is off playing tennis. Wings did not "dread this monday".  Julz is resting, and so is Footie, i think.  Spar is busy busy busy doing all her wonderful things. Saint is finding solace in finding her eternal spot.  Jasmine is hard at work, and Margaret too.  I am going to go exercise today. It is a bit grey in the sky here but it is a hopeful day.

A quiet morning at the beach.......... I'm sure Celia has everyone pegged. Solitude and quiet is a good thing to recharge the batteries!
WINGER-GIRLIE!!!! You're back. It made my day -- just seeing your lighthouse all lit up!!
Saint, on the radio to start the day. How cool! Are you a regular contributor? You SHOULD have your own show. Everyone would benefit. It's 'funny' you bring up cemetary plots.... Allen & I had that very conversation about half way from your house to here. [We don't currently own final real estate.] It was a thought provoking conversation to say the least. I for one, don't find it the least bit morbid. Planning for the eventuality makes complete sense to me.
Celia, I'm so glad to see you back!!! I'm hoping that all of your world is in complete balance.
Lisa, tennis -- way to go. I never had that much eye-hand coordination.... even when young, but I was great at ping pong!!
Julz, hope you and your personal cabana boy appreciated getting reacquainted. tee hee, You're gonna have to compare notes with Shrink, our newlywed.
Sahalie, are you roaring around with friends still? Or off to a special lunch with Jazz?
Spar, you must be off doing one of your projects? Missing your chipper contributions this morning. I can't remember what you were up to today.
Margo, I'll attempt to follow your good example..... for me resisting cyberspace till noon, will be quite a start. BTW: we got a brand new "measures everything" scale this morning and we're both committing ourselves to be mindful.
Footie, you know I'm always thinking of you. Sharing a glass of lemonade and a hug.
Biker, you're the real deal!! I'm just 'baggage' and enjoy hanging on for a great ride. Have never had even the foggiest whim to ride on my own. My little blue bicycle is plenty for me to handle.
Quick shout out to Sige, Deborye, summer, nEEsie, Amy, susan and lots of others!! And a Happy Birthday to our alumus Iris!! Hope you have a fantastic day, filled with bears, books, and chocolate to your heart's content.
I'm sure I'm forgetting someone(s)........... know that it's unintentional. I have to go now and submit these 2 songs that I think I've got into good order.
Took some pics yesterday that I want to share..... will force myself to wait till tonight. (All this self restraint in one day is amazing, isn't it?)

Hi again! I will give you a little update---ALL real estate is pricey!! LOL

We have decided too go for cremation & optied into the new columbarium: mini condos with all nice neighbors from church!!! hahaha   BUT "so 'spensive Lucy!"  Just like buying anything, we'll have to work towards that down payment! (just to buy our "companion space" is over $1600!!!!--plus other expences will be incurred at the time of burial)

Good news--dh can make us nice little wood boxes for all eternity!! I told him to get busy on mine cuz we'll likely need mine first . If it is not ready when needed he'll have to deliver me in a zip loc baggie! I am horrid I know, but he'll remember how we LOL about it in the car on the way home! We laugh a LOT when I say, "you'll miss me when I'm gone!!" LOLOL

Off to get shots for my little avatar!! Hugs--stay strong & be well!

The final real estate business is really weird that we are all talking about it at the same time.  My husband and I checked into 2 plots together and they are 300 each which is not bad and we both want a green funeral since we try to do our part on keeping the planet safe for the future kids.  We are buying wicker or bambo caskets which are 400 each so thats not bad either.  I do not want a cement or steel vault.  I want donations to bc.org instead of flowers except for a casket piece that my daughter makes me.  Already have the music picked out and my exhusband is going to read that poem that was posted on this web site to read to the kids after I am gone.  My kids are not happy about it, it is not what they would have chosen for me (so they said) I just want my body to go back to dust cause I know I am going to be in the arms of jesus until reserection day.   We own some expensive plots in midwest city but we want to be buried in Davis.

Anyway on to a different conversation, this will be a busy week.  Tomorrow we are going to del city to spend the day with the 80 year old inlaws since its MIL birthday and eat at cracker barrel, my fav. resturant.  Wednesday will be the soup kitchen from 5 to 7, Thursday my Granddaughter is being put to sleep to do some dental work from when she got hit in the mouth by a metal pipe so I am driving them.  Friday if she is feeling good she wants to spend the weekend with us.  On top of feeding the animals, mowing, watering (by hand)

The duck is finally letting other people pet him besides me and he doesn't bite anyone but me and that is only when i stop petting him.

Am going to start on a stained glass for my aunt, she wants lavenders and purples.

I forgot to mention the house will have a covered porch the whole length, my husband, neighbor and ex-husband are going to build it together after the house is here.

I said to my husband you wouldn't really want me to have a body like those women body builders that look like men and can you believe it, He said Oh YES I WOULD!!!  So I told him haha go get one then but I am going to have my workout room back in this new house and will get a better bod.  The only thing is I will have to insist that he use it too. LOL

Lisa, I admire you playing tennis (that is my husbands game but even he doesn't play in this kind of heat)

I do have a bicycle and hadn't rode it in years, I got on it and took off and crashed sideways and now I have a flat.  Will get brave enough to try again after its fixed.

This morning the dog plucked a feather off of the duck and the duck chased him and got ahold of the feather in his mouth and would not let go, they are so amusing to watch.

My cat exercised with me this morning, I'll send a picture in a little bit of it.  Hope all has a wonderful day.  Love and hugs to all

Ahh spar-- I so enjoy your posts! & I lol at that cat on the weight bench!!!!! I want a pic of the dog & duck in their pull of war with the feather!!! haha Sounds like you have a BUSY time in front of you!

Go Faith! You always make me smile; like the welcome shade of the beach umbrella on a hot day!!!! LOL

Lisa! Tennis??? You are my hero....NEVER been able to connect with the ball!

Celia-what a great pic----just how I'm feeling today, despite the fact that my animals just cost me over $150 in shots & food! Another person there said,'What we do for our animals!" & rolled her eyes-----but I said,"what our animals do for US!" It's the least I can do to try to insure their health so I will have their company when I will need their comfort! Let's bring the pets to the beach, too!

    Be well & stay strong

Dear Beach Sisters my computer was down for a while today! Now I'm BAAAAACK! What interesting beach convesation! Food for thought, mmmmmm!

So it is Happy hour what are ya gonna drink Faith? I think I will have a .....

I'll have to watch what I google, You would not believe what popped up with the Beach Drinks! Definitely not viewable on this beach. In with all the drink pics was a naked view. A real eye opener, LOL!SurprisedEmbarassedLaughing

Celia ~ Loved the moon pic, better yet the hand stand! I never could do them, cartwheel yes!

Spar ~ Busy, busy, busy, you bee! I have my next Dr's appt. on the 13th for my recheck. Thingy's still feel the sameUndecided! All body parts are crossed! LOL! It sounds like you should put your pets in for some kind of audition for pet tricks!  Next you'll put that Kitty of yours in a fancy swim suit & compare him with DH to see who wins Mr.Olympia!.... When we had the addition put on our house 5 years ago we had a porch put on our house, the whole way across! Take care on your many adventures this week. Oh, BTW it was only about 70 some degrees today for a day time high! Cool Breezes!

SoCal ~ You go Girl! Those Beachers need some meat on there bones!

Faith ~ I'm glad for your accomplishments for the day! I'm working on laundry AGAIN! I could do 5 loads a day & never be caught up!  Yeh Miss TEE HEE there! Indeed a snuggle was all! I'm not sure what else you were referring too!InnocentSurprisedEmbarassedWink! LOL! A new back is needed,  His, mine is raring to go! TEE HEE! KissLaughing

Saint ~ It's what you gotta do! Some think about it (like me)! Some do it (like you)! You have to have a sence of humor or you might end up crying all the time! I like listening to Delilah, she's the one that picks out a song for what going on in your life! I called in once while my 2 youngest ones were taking a bath. I think they were 1 & almost 3. She laughed when she heard the bath splashing! It's funny to here your voice on the radio! I sound like a kid! When someone calls my house, most of the time they ask for the mom or dad. I just laugh!

To all the rest of the Beachy Friends. A BIG HELLO! I hope all is well with you & I hope to see some of you later enjoying the cool tropical breezes. Maybe we can have a few songs tonight, if anyone would like? Make your request I will see what I can do later! Until then watch out for the seagulls!.....

Here are some hats to keep our hair clean!

I see some of you have already come prepared......

    Until later.....

fun, fun, fun!! i love the hats, the decomposing casket (Spar, where on earth did you learn about that?) and that starfish plant -- Lisa, where on earth did you find that to photograph? tell us more!!

Julz is finding x-rated beach drinks..... but refuses to share.

Celia, the clothespin beach people are just a hoot!

Before I forget it, I wanted to post the last pic I took of da babeez before we left home.

Blondie mommy, brown eyed sweetie is DD2-Noelle........ but what I wanted to point out, if you look very closely, you'll see da babes are wearing the beach ware that they received prior to their birth at the grandma's shower that you all threw for me last spring.

When you gave the outfits I couldn't possibly believe that they would ever get big enough to wear them. Sarah and I laughed that they'd wear them to preschool! Goodness. Wow. Growing, growing!! Thanks as always for your incredible support.

Going 'downtown' [hahahaha] to watch the sunset.

back to see what hats show up!

Hey kids! GREAT flower, beach & sunset pix! It is fun to come & just scroll thru the day & get answers & input to previous posts!

Spar- we would LOVE to go green "in the end" but not allowed to be in anything that decomposes here!! I mean--how ridiculous is that??? It is all gonna decompose & what are they worried will become contaminated???? We were LOL with the guy! AND he said animal creamains were not allowed either! Like---and how would they KNOW we mixed the fur faces' ashes in with the ppl ashes???  oh well-------I won't be here to get the answers & I willl care even less than I do now--if that is possible! LOL

Guess when I grow up I can stay out & play on the beach after the sun goes down! But as some here make rules about NOT turning on puter til AM obligations have been fulfilled, I do my utmost NOT to be on after dinner!

Enjoy the sunset & the tiki drinks--sweet, sandy dreams all--be well & stay strong!!

Faith, I learned about green funerals at http://www.mywonderfullife.com/ Those babies are gorgous and so are their cute outfits.

Saint, more and more states are getting into the green funeral, I called funeral homes and found ones that would work with me at what I wanted.  My kids would have me in a 9000 casket and 2000 steel container but I think it is a waste of money.

    Celia, that picture is beautiful.

Celia...... how on earth did I manage without you and your images of mirth and color? If you ever go missing again, I'm gonna come lookin' with the beach patrol.

Spar......... thanks for the web addy. I'll have to go take a look when time allows.

Saint.......... we'll wave in passing -- you beach walking in the morning, me later in the day. LOL.

Wings.......... we saw a cherry red mustang, roaring down a hill with the top down & thought maybe it was you: fun, fun, fun

Sahalie.......... what you and Jazz up to today? Shopping? Plotting this weekend's fun?

Julz.......... does this mean you have tonight off as well?

Lisa........... I can't even imagine that wonder could grow in someone's back yard. I thought it was probably being cultivated in the rare and amazing extra-terrestial gardens somewhere. Reminds me of the play "Little House of Horrors." Was that a musical?

Footie........ that ramp that Celia found is a humdinger, isn't it. We're always thinking of you. I had some Minute Maid pink lemonade and made a toast to you!

Shrink......... have you gotten all of the finger prints removed? They always make me happy, after the kiddos go home -- I usually leave them for a while just to make me smile.

Margo......... I'm so proud of being "one-day sober" from my morning-computer addiction. Let's see if I can make it 2 days in a row. LOL

I'm gonna go take a look at the sunset pics.
