DH and I running to quilt shop together: LOL. Hopefully we'll both emerge together. It's a drippie-rain-gray kinda day (which we really nee) but he obviously has cabin fever -- if he's coming on this field trip. Gotta love him.

DD2 just called and had learned that two of her high school friends had each had a parent pass in the last couple of days...... folks that we knew well, back in 'high school' era. Very sad. Unexpected. One never knows and all that sorta stuff...... anyhow...... makes me all of the more mindful to LOVE each of you here -- while we are able.

Hi Beachies: You're all invited to the wedding brunch next Sunday. I want to tell everyone who attends that I'm glad they're here and mostly I'm glad I'm here. When I was first diagnosed in May of 07 I really didn't think I would be. Not only do I feel well, but I have a bunch of new friends to hang out with on the beach. Volleyball anyone? I'll watch.

Faith I don't know your DH, But I can just imagine trying to drag my DH into a place like that! Major WOW! TEE HEE & LOL! That's one of those Dear you owe me one for this moments! Hey there! How are you doing?
Sorry I haven't been around much, but I have been working alot. My schedule is looking to be 3 or 4 days a week, usually only partial days, but for the past two weeks, I have worked a full day on Thursday, too, and that is just such a long day! I'm working at this little 'expensive' boutique in town. But, I am now off for 4 days... YIPPEE!!
We are watching to see what will happen with IKE... Hanna looks to be a minor annoyance, with high winds and some rain. It is still a tropical storm, but the Weather Channel says it MAY become a very weak cat. 1 hurricane before it makes landfall. But, my MIL is kind of worried, so she'll be coming over tomorrow, and she'll spend the night with us, and maybe the weekend. She moved to SC, just 7 miles away from us after I moved down here in 2006. This will be our first hurricane in the area, so we are kind of excited, and just a little nervous. We decided to have a hurricane party, and we have some beer and the ingredients for my favorite drink, a melon ball.I'll be around more, don't worry, Faith!!

Hi beach buds!!! I hope all are doing well and enjoying their little slice of the beach.
Not much happening with me. Still trying to get everything situated after the camping trip. Tomorrow I am going to give the RV a top to bottom cleaning.

does anyone know why a duck would choose dog food over duck food? He has been choosing dog food for the past month and won't touch his duck food. He seems ok but it just seems weird.
I am going to check out picasa again because i have it but couldn't post pictures from it.

Saint, tornado alley is what they called the place we lived in Moore, Oklahoma. I don't know if you heard about or remember the may 3 1999 tornado but thousands of homes and hundreds of people lost their lives. We were in a closet underneath the stairs and when we walked out the house was gone just the closet we were in stayed. Both automobiles were destroyed as well as all of our neighbors home. Houses were on fire, some in the middle of the street, we had other peoples stoves and stuff in our yard. It was a horrible experience. We lost everything. Thank God we had insurance because a lot of people didn't. Ok, now to more fun stuff.
