    Hi Margo,

I saw where you had posted today. You are right abt shopping would be expensive-prob. We sure could have some fun, though. I think that sometimes the plastic cards are just too much fun-except ehen the real bills start arriving. Hope you had a good day.

Faithandfifty-will be thinking abt your son. I know that must be hard to watch a child leave for school, work or any orher occupation. Do you ever write abt your own children's adventures? I knew two beach authors who included memories from the childhoods-disguised names, etc.

Time has run out-missed many so join me on the beach,if you like. Would love to have another cyber beach volleyball game one day.

Yes, Iris, our weather is just fine, well except for snowing and being cold.  LOL  Well, at least we don't have ice on the ground.  I like the Beach Buddies thing.

Amy you can share the smore pie with me.  Actually I just heard from my chiropractor that I should quite eating chocolate.  Gosh that made me start crying when he said that.  I have tried so many times I have never been able to do it.  He says the pain in my knees will get a LOT better if I do.  I will try and do what he wants.  I can at least cut way back.

Deb and Jaz, hey getting drunk sounds great.  And he didn't say anything about alcohol, just chocolate

Oh Emelee, he's gonna be very handsome.  I can tell already.

Faith can you tell us where your SIL went.

    Liz have fun in OKC.

Deb, good to see you.  Yes, thank you I'll take some frozen fruit.

I'll be back later.  doing laundry.

Amy - I posted this elsewhere, but tonight at the 6th grade CCD retreat when it was Warren's turn to hold the candle and say a prayer he prayed for everyone suffering from breast cancer. That in and of itself is not surprising, but I asked him on the way home if he was thinking of my friends from the boards in particular (I suspected as much as I just received an afghan yesterday and he was quite enamored of it!) Anyway, he said yes, but that he didn't know anyone's names. After a moment he said, "I should have prayed for that lady from Ohio who has the goats." I almost fell over! Remember he wanted to write a song for you "if he got a guitar for Christmas"? LOL I'll have to remind him about that btw, he did get the guitar, and surprise, surprise, he hasn't touched it in weeks (and Christmas wasn't that long ago!)

Oh to be an 11 year old boy...

Good night all, hope everyone has a peaceful and restful night.

news update: my SIL is to be stationed in OK @ base there for his final training to become a pilot. i believe it's Afton AFB. time will tell how long this placement is..... supposedly 5 to 6 months.

they've picked the names for the twins: Trevor Ryan and McKenna Evelyn. (I think I've got that right??) my daughter chose the name Evelyn to honor my husband's mother -- her 'step-grandmother' if there is such a title. Evelyn, known as nana to everyone, passed away just over 2 years ago. i was sooooo touched when my dau. told me, my DH was truly amazed. nana took both of my girls under her wing without batting an eye and made them her own grand-daughters from the very first moment.

just goes to show that we can forge family from plain, pure love.

Her due date is May 7th, but her ob will not let her go past 36 weeks if she would be fortunate to get that far. She had toxemia with her first pregnancy and things were very scary at the end. She was induced at 36 weeks for her 'singleton' so with her now being 30 weeks along, it's getting very very close. Enough on that topic. Thanks for asking.

emelee....... i LOVE seeing these images. Wish I could show you the 3D ones taken yesterday. you really can see their actual faces. it's incredible!

stroll on the beach for me, just got done de-icing my car to come home.

kick up some sand while you're at it.'

my goal is to learn to post pics in time for their arrival!! all you beach aunties will be eager to meet them, i know

    Hi girls,

Char, you always post the nicest pictures.  Ok, maybe the dog wasn't the cutest you've posted.

Colleen, thinking of you.  Busy is good.

Susan, love the smore pie.  I think Amy would like it cuz she can pick out the graham crackers.

Jaz, when my fruit hangs around a little bit, I chunk them up and freeze them, includng nectarines, and make smoothies out of them.

Deb, I freeze the fruit too except now I found a super easy recipe for banana bread (base is 4 ingredients before I tweaked it) so I'll be using the bananas for that instead of smoothies.

    Emelee, how cute.

Faith, we'll do one day at a time with you.  I love the names.  I know a Trevor and a McKenna.

Iris, weather was gorgeous today and supposed to be all week.

Have to get ready for American Idol.

Nice photo Jas.  I made your potato soup the other night....so good and so easy.....almost as easy as the 4 ingredient banana bread recipe I found the other day.

Ok ladies, come join me at the beach.  I've got the chairs and towels all lined up.  A little early yet for me to order drinks bu I will when the first person gets here.

    Happy Sunny Wed!

Margo, great weather here finally. It began very cloudy and at last sun is shining through. Your banana bread sounds delicious. I have always loved fruits of all kinds-esp tropical ones.

Jasmine-beautiful lighthouse pic. I cherish the memory of seeing the beautiful Cape Hatteras Lighthouse yrs ago. We were so high up it was like being in a celestial place with angels and beautiful sights.

Faithandfifty-I think I said son instead of SIL who was leaving for the Navy. The twins' names are neat. What a nice remembrance of a special person to include their name. Do you have more trips planned soon?

Susan-I think chocolate does contain things that are not so great for some of us-me. I suppose there are good qualities in the dark chocolate-without too much sugar-LOL. I like the milk or white chocolates. Hope the knees are not as painful today.

Emelee-great to see you at the beach this afternoon(afternoon for me as I am moving lazily).

Sue/Gus-snow shoveling on a vacation is not part of the vac. I guess to get out and go shop-snow shoveling is allowed. Just kidding as we have no idsa where the snow is here these days. Hope that Rach and Alex are enjoying time away.

    Breaks go fast.

Amy-thinking of you and glad that you are feeling much better. I bet Tucker will be glad for a spring break soon Is his in March this year? Thank you for saying the compliment abt our NC coastal areas. Although it is not those lovely foothills of the Applachians where you are,it is home. You know I always loved those AL mtns, too!

Colleen-thinking of you and Warren. I hope that you will come by when you return home this aft. I know Amy loved the story abt the little goats. Warren maybe will take up the guitar. He sounds like such a great kid and I know he was awesome in the Charlie Brown play.

Bren-hope it is not as windy and blustery in VA as here. I think that you are in VA not too far from the NC triad area of Greensboro. Hope it is sunny today.

Happy afternoon walking on the shoreline with me. I would like to see if any new boats have docked during the week. Hope I did not skip anyone that posted today. See you later in the evening and wear a hat as it is blustery on the beach today. You may need gloves,too-chilly but fair skies ahead!

It is windy and cold here today, so I'm cherishing my beach memories.  I'm trying so hard to remember what the warm sun feels like on my face.  Aaaaaaahhhhhhh.  Thinking Spring!

Char, what, no angel for today?????

Emlee, that ultrasound is cool.  congratulations on the boy!

Colleen, that was a funny story about Warren.  LOL

Iris, good luck with your surgery tomorrow.  I'll have a nice Pina Colada waiting for you when you get home.

Amy, glad you are starting to feel better.  Are those little kids getting big?

Hi Susan!  Sorry work is bad today.  Off to the beach with you!

    Jas, I love Jimmy!

so glad to have these latest beach visuals to warm me up.

our snow continues, but we just keep sliding around in it.

Margaret: thanks for your support and your company for the one-day-at-a-time mindset. That's the only way any of us get thru anything, I realize..... but having your encouragement is a real pick me up, when I start to get overwhelmed.

Iris: my whirlwind traveling is over for now. I arrange my calendar about 6 months out, so was able to scale back on my far flung adventures, to handle the baby watch. I'm working in local schools and doing some spring conferences close at hand.

Is it toooo early to start packing for Aruba? My DH has surprised me with a trip there for our anniversary. Just the thought of it makes me smile.

Jas: thanks for the sunny songs.

Pass the sunscreen these last several pictures have me glowing.

Good evening Beach Ladies.  Its been a busy day at work and now its almost time for American Idol.  I usually get bored with the show by this point but they seem to have some really good talent this year.  If any of you haven't been watching there is one 17 year old boy that is phenomenal.  Its the ladies night tonight though.  I'll try to get back later.

    Hugs from A to Z!
