Hi Beach Beauties .. this may be my last post until either Saturday night or sometime on Sunday ... we are going to my twin  sister's house in Maryland today for her son's 13th birthday party.

I went shopping tonight .. from 7pm - midnight, and my feet are Screaming at me!  I mostly shopped for Easter and birthday but I did get myself some new sports bras for my foobies.  I found some with thin spaghetti straps which is cool .. opens up my wardrobe options a bit.

Jasmine, I'm glad you're not dealing with the floods where you are!  I do feel for those who are though, it's terrible!

Neesie, Ouch, I'm sorry for your experience with the Mammo Monster!  I got my letter that I was due for mine in March but since I no longer have my boobs I can't get one.  My BS will check me when I see her in April.  I'm so happy to hear of your results though.  We are getting snow today too...I'm sure not as much as you are but still, snow in springtime sucks!  Maybe the full moon has something to do with it!

Faith, what an Adorable wonder boy .. such a cutie! awww, his first cookie ... how old is he?  Wow, you are Making the crib gear?  I'm just in awe of you!  I wish I had a smidgen of your talent!  Yes I'll be hiding Easter baskets for the girls and boy (Karl's son Devon will be with us this Easter morning) and also will have eggs hidden throughout the yard for a scavenger hunt!  The eggs have candy or money in them.  This will be the first year that Audrey has her sister along and isn't going to get all the eggs herself!  Okay, I love baby pools!  I'm going to guess April 26, because my lifelong friend of 30 years was born on that day!

Iris, I did get the Easter goodies bought, just wish this weekend weren't so hectic with the birthday party in Maryland to go to!  We always end up staying later than we should and getting home late!  We'll have a good time though, it'll just be a bit hectic.  Oh well, what would a holiday at my home be if it weren't hectic?  lol

Glad I decided to stay at the beach!    Happy Easter to all the sand sisters, beach bums, bunnies!!!

Our county has been declared a disaster area.   We live high up, so no danger of house flooding...but lower areas have been evacuated.  We got out today and drove around--where we could get to!   It is mind boggling!  Don't mess with Mother Nature!!!   She is awesome!

I am only mildly inconvenienced at this point--can't get to places, roads washed out, or still covered by water.   I'm pushing bottled water, although we haven't been told to boil our tap water yet.   Water is expected to start receding starting tomorrow, but more rain is in the forecast.   My heart is aching for those whose homes have flooded--it is a nasty thing.    Wish we would hear from Susan!!!

    big hugggssss to all!!!

Faith -- that baby has the morst gorgeous blue eyes.

Junie -- glad you are being flooded out of your home.

Angel -- its nice to do a little shopping for yourself every once in a while.  I'm right there with you on the 'feet' thing.  I can no longer stand or walk for long periods of time anymore.

Neesie -- you crack me up!  Nope, I'm sure that's not the kind of houseboat you wanted.  Me either.  I do have a friend at work who lives on a houseboat though.  Its a really nice one too.  They have their own docking space for it at the marina on the Arkansas river but I'm wondering how they are being affected.  I've changed departments and haven't talked to her in a while.

Iris -- hello, you must be on the road again.

Hi to Jan, Sahalie, Candie, and everyone from A to Z.

Jas, that house was scary.  I couldn't live on one though.  We had one and it was great for the weekends but I think I would go stir crazy.  I do have a friend who has a yacht with two staterooms, a bathtube, laundry room, now that I could probably liv on but the water issue might be a problem.

Angel, yes, I think the exercise is helping me sleep through the night.  I no longer get up for the 1:30 or 2:30 pee break.

Faith, no obligation necessary - he is adorable!

Neesie, I can't help you out since I had the bilateral I no longer have to do the smash.

Iris, it is a cold and a sore throat to boot.  Then, to top it off, I have a sore neck and shoulder.  I'm falling apart.

Junie, glad you aren't flooded.  I'll have to look around to see if I've seen Susan posting so we know she is ok.  I remember taking a drive around the day after the big earthquake we had here - devastated so much around us but not our area, you would have known we had an earthquake.

Well I have dates at the grocery store and laundry so better get up.  Everyone have a good day.

Yehaw Barb.........you go girl!  Wish I could teach myself to crochet....I don't have enough fingers and thumbs (or maybe to many) to hold yarn and hook and count all at the same time!  Jas and a few others will attest to that!

I found Susan............appears she got locked up for misbehaving on the beach last night.............She was allowed one phone call....got it this afternoon and bailed her out...................just can't leave her alone for a minute!!LaughingLaughing  The good news is her house remains dry in all the flooding.

Sorry Susan, I just have to post the picture they used of you in the line up....

    Hugs,

    Happy Sun and Happy Easter,

Junie-so glad that you did not hv flooding at/inside your house. So sad seeing pics of those who hv had horrendous flooding. Roads being washed-out and county disaster area are certainly dangerous and scary things. So sorry to read abt it and thinking of your area and neighbors.

Jaz-hoping to leave early wk if all goes well. You are right that I am traveling as I cannot see the cool videos or hear the tunes. However, when I return,I hv a great time listening to the neat selections you post. How is your dog? Glad you escaped the flooding in AK. Sad how many are affected.

Candie-hope that you are having a great weekend. Seems like you had a special event planned for Easter Sunday w/children you teach? Hope you hv a great Easter.

Margo-so sorry to read your sore throat was turning into a cold. Also, you are not falling apart. I saw you had a sore neck and hope that has gotten better today. As much as you accomplish,I am impressed as my legs ached yesterday. I just rested and was lazy. Today,I did errands for my parents for several hrs. Hope you hv a great Easter with your family. Thinking of you and feel better as I know you are a hard worker and do so much for other people.

Angel-great pics! The evening beach scene made me want to take a stroll just to see that beauty! I hope you are having a great vis w/your sis and fam. Happy 13th b'day to your nephew! Happy Easter to the kids and everyone! Glad you got the shopping done and I know you were exhausted. I was today as crowds of last-minute people were everywhere,I was right there w/them asking myself why I always am day of the holiday or day before?

I just procrastinate and this year,Mother was sick-bad excuse better than none! Have a safe trip home!

Faithandfifty-terrific pics and you are doing super w/the text messg, too! It feels so good, doesn't it? Your pics are beautiful and I love the beach scenes! Little gson has the most beautiful eyes and expression! Hope he has a great time tomorr!

Barb-Congrats on posting the pics! It is an awesome feeling and I love the peeps pic! That is just so cool! Glad to see you as I had missed reading your posts.

Neesie-cool pics! That beach bunny getting the suntan is going to be a sunny bunny! Great bunny babe getting a tan as well! What a nice way to end a tiring day seeing some great pics and neat posts. Sorry Susan had some trouble but glad she had "friends in high places" that would be you,to keep her on the straight and narrow path! LOL. Susan is like you,Neesie funny and a neat lady!

Hey,Susan, miss seeing you and hope you are doing OK this wknd!Thinking of you and Buffy, the Wonder Dog! Hello to you,dh,too!

Amy and Jan-hi to both of you this wkend! Happy Easter to you and your families!

Hallelujah..... exactly one year ago today, I was having my surgery.... I believe in miracles. I believe in second chances. I believe in Easter.

I hope that everyone is having an up-beat, hope-filled, jelly bean'd, egg gathering, bonnets-with-frills, daffodils, Sunday best, just-enough-rest, happily-ever-after, empty tomb, hearts-love-this-room day.

Baby watch continues. Today marks week #34!!! It's very unusual to have Easter, without the trumpet fanfare of church. I hope you sang for me this morning... at this point she is able to manage bed and the couch -- and that's about it.

And now for today's story. Once upon a time:

Last summer I dedicated myself to bike riding, to recooperate from rads. One day I packed my camera and went trundling off to the next hamlet.

Saw the most amazing 'sunflower' and parked my bike. REALLY tried to focus on what I was learning about photography: sun behind you, lens cap off, proper distance, select the right setting etc etc.

I clicked the button and look what happened...........

So I stood there..... trembling with excitement. This incredible monarch had landed on MY flower -- just as I was ready to take the picture! I clenched my mouth shut so that I didn't squeal. And I took another picture and another and another and another. [I actually was graced with getting to take 11 different shots of the butterfly, before it darted away.]

I kept pinching myself. I had the 'evidence' to share this amazing experience.

I think somehow life is like that...... and even BC is like that.

You focus on the good parts, you really concetrate on what's beautiful & then periodically something truly amazing happens.

Beach bunnies: you are the truly amazing part of BC. I thank you for your out-stretched arms of friendship, your encouragement, your support, your humor and your stories. The beach is my favorite place to be. Thanks for letting me share a little bit of my story with you.

    Thank you.

Your Grandson is a cutie okay.........and you didn't have to 'pay' me to say that!!!!

Week #34..........sounds like all is going well!!  I've got to put my brain to work and come up with a due date for the babies!!

My Granddaughter lives about a hour east of me............within reach....let me know about the concert and where it is, please!!

Hugs and happy Easter to all!

    Happy Easter Beach Bunnies!

I'm just too tired to post much right now .. can't get my words and thoughts together!  We didn't get home until 2AM (we left 5 hours after I intended us too!) and still had to put the Easter baskets together.  But Ava wouldn't sleep and she was keeping Audrey up so I couldn't just let her cry it out for awhile .. I could calm her but she would just cry and scream if she was put into bed.  Long story short Audrey and Ava both ended up in my bed with me and Karl ended up on the floor!  It was 5AM until we got to sleep and thankfully Karl awoke and got the Easter baskets put together because Audrey was up at 8AM looking for what the Easter Bunny brought her.  So they're pumped up on sugar, Audrey went to her dad's and Devon went to his mom's.  Going to try and get Ava to nap (she must be purely exhausted) and then I'm going to do the same!  We did have a great time at my sisters although my niece is going through a terrible time .. more on that later.

I do want to say to you Faith:  As Neesie said, your words and pictures are so beautiful and thank you for sharing.  I felt as if I was there with you .. amazing and those pictures really are awesome!

Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and part of an amazing group of women!  I Love all you beach bunnies!

Back later when I can be a bit more focused!

    Happy Easter Sunday Evening b

Wow! Those pics are absolutely amazing! What awesome details and I cannot wait to see them enlarged so to really appreciate the designs.

Barb-your pic was so neat to see the glittering flower and sparkling butterfly. What lovely pastel colors that remind me of spring. I think back to the pretty eggs we dyed and those that we bought. Chocolate was more in the bunnies when I was a child. Thanks for the lovely colors and hope you had a good day.

Neesie-hope you and all of your fam had a great time and fun visit. Hoping your weather is not as wintry-not sure when winter decides to move on;hope soon. We had such warm weather yesterday and windy today. It was typical March-seems so much earlier that we were looking for spring flowers. Still celebrating your good news with you from Fri. Glad you are keeping Susan out-of-mischief. Kidding,Susan!

Susan-hope you had a good Easter. Hope to see you posting tomorr and that your area is not being damaged in the floods.

Faithandfifty-such beautiful monarch butterflies and the pictures have such details. I think you expressed the beach feeling(at least for me)so eloquently. It is as angel, neesie and others have said abt reading your words. It reminds me of one of my all-time favorite books "The Velveteen Rabbit" when asked what real was. Real is loved and appreciated for oneself and one's uniqueness. That is what this special beach thread is for me;real. Thank you for the sharing of your many talents of writing and photography just to name two.

Angel has done a marvelous job setting-up a thread where we each can feel "real".

Angel-your beach bunnies are so great. Thank you for the time and your talent of always finding the perfect pictures no matter what the special event is. As I said to faith, you hv really inspired us and thank you for the great stories and pics. I cherish my memories of Easter celebrations and love to hear your family's neat stories. Hope you were able to rest some from the trip. Awesome Easter presents and I know you had a wonderful time. Bet Ava will be ready for her bed earlier after a long day. I know the sugary feeling very well. Thinking of you and rest up,my friend.

Candie-hope your Sun went well and that you had a good one. Thinking of you.

Margo-hope that you are feeling much better tonight.Hope that you had a good visit with the grandchildren and their mom. I am not sure if Kristen was coming since she was sick;hope she did make it. Tske care and hv a great Mon. Tell Ryan to take it easy on his broken hand. Also, hope Nancy soon feels better.

Nice evening to walk by the moonlight on the beach. Late yesterday,I saw the most beautiful orange ball of sun as it was setting. It was so lovely. Take care,Beach Bunny Buddies!
