LIFES A BEACH!

Beachie Bunnies!! These are the best behaved babies ever.... they listened to my heart-felt plea, to wait for me to return to them, before they consider arriving. I am safely at DDs home, again -- and she is very definitely pregs still!
To let a little bit of the cat outta the bag, her DH, my SIL is flying in tomorrow!!! That's the plan. He has been granted a week's family leave and will be here for the scheduled c-section. I am sooooo eager for him to be here & help settle things down in the drama dept. So I'll be praying for his safe traveling tomorrow.
Someone's guess is quite close to the scheduled event!!
My day went really fantastic today. The tech fellow was an angel! He taught me a few new tricks of the techno-trade. They only taped the morning 2 hour segment & just used 2 cameras.... he was so gracious about the whole thing.... and once ya get going I completely forgot about the cameras even being there. We have yet to decide 'what' to do with it/the film. They've now asked permission to mount it on the real web, instead of just their internal staff site.
Must talk all of that over with my DH. Not sure what he'll think about that?? Is it giving away for free my professional presentation, or is it incredible marketing??? What do you think?
He gets more points in heaven, as he held down the fort for the 27 hours I was gone.
So glad that this site is back up & operational.... I had trouble getting on earlier.
Let the prayers continue, we're getting seriously close now!!

Granddaughter is with me so I haven't read a thing except Faiths post right above mine!
Glad all went well Faith and that SIL will be home tomorrow! Oh, by the way....I'm changing my guess on the due date! Is that allowed??????
I'm seriously exhausted...........guess little ones are supposed to do that to you!!
See you all tomorrow!

Hi to all of you,Beach Buddies!Happy Sunday...early on the beach and I am keeping watch for signs of the twins. I am thinking it will be tomorrow...
faith...glad that dh was able to not make the hospital run.I am like neesie,I am thinking I got my 11th date wrong and it should have been 22...don't think that counts, does it? LOL I saw those cute, little ones and got so excited as I thought the twins were here and seemed pretty large. Just read quickly. Yep,I prob need to re-adjust the glasses! Tell Sarah, that hope it is not a problem, but the "cyberaunts" are ready for the new arrivals.LOL That is such exciting news abt her husb's arrival...whoo-hoo!!!
So glad that you had such great assistance with the techie stuff....funny, now we can say beam me up,Scotty...I am now a techie instead of a trekkie! Beautiful pic of the beach, faith! Loved those colors and the silhouette appearance!Sending you a pic...his hair looks similar to Alfalfa's on The Little Rascals! I am so excited to have success that I am celebrating with you! I know that feeling...like I want to high five the computer!
Sahalie...how are you and how is your wknd going? I love the beach descriptions and feel like you were describing my friend as she did not turn before she burned! Here we were at a fabulous beach and she had not been out at all(from Massachussets and comes down to the NC coast);so she burned the first day. I just went on and ran the beach and went places, while she stayed in the rented condo.Luckily, she was in the med field! I did not have this needle...but she sure stayed inside and popped pain pills for the sunburn. Those seashells are fabulous...there are awesome details! Thank you for sharing such a lovely beach scene.
Jas...good news abt your car and having such a great compliment on maintenance and less of a bill. That is a real nice thing to say for those who work everyday with cars. Mine looks better under the hood than in the floorboards and trunk as I call it my junky trunky. It drives other people nuts but I just take lots of stuff in case....and guess what, people come over and want to borrow the junk, often! LOL Hope that your wkend goes well and the weather is less windy. What a great sound and great song! I think those were some neat-looking shirts and sure brought back memories! Thanks!Margo, not sure what your fundraiser will entail, but thinking that these chandeliers look festive and the tables so elegant. I know that you have worked so hard on this and it will be such a big success! What an awesome accomplishment...congratulations! Those causes are so wonderful and your county provides such terrific resources. I know you will have a great time! This little teddy reminds me of honoring those who present the teddies to children in need of a friend.
footprintsangel...terrific on the race and speed does not matter. When I was at the Komen Walk, there were so many racers, walkers, children and everyone was having such a great time. I handed-out the bibs at the main event and then went to the two mile walk. It was really inspiring and the feeling is indescribable the first time(at least for me).
Candie...how is your wkend going? Thank you for the kind compliments abt the writing as I write late at night and sometimes I sound so crazy! I did lots of writing for my teaching job and headed some committees... mostly just education articles;would love to have that talent like our faith. She has such an elegant use of the language and the figurative language is so enthralling! I saw some beautiful flowers as the weather was just so beautiful here. How abt there and great abt the things you are doing tomorrow. Hope that you enjoyed the confirmation party and the baby shower as that is so neat to see the excitement on everyone's faces and such cute infant apparel. Sahalie's beautiful shells reminded me of your
seashell collection that you have described. These were interesting flowers that I thought would add a nice flair to our outing.
Wings...I loved the lighthouse and just sign me up for the "host" program! LOL I think that would be a marvelous thing to do. Is it very far from where you or Neesie live? I think that would be so fun and really beautiful scenery. I do agree abt those winding roads near Cherokee,NC. It is a beautiful area although the curves would be rather fast. I know that is the point to ride a motorbike and feel the wind and the terrain. Maybe one of these days...sounds like it would be very adventurous. This is a pic that was made in the Cherokee area.
Neesie...hope little grand daughter is having fun and I know she is. What do you have planned for Sunday?
I think that is exciting abt your angel collection! I love angels and appreciate all of them that watch over and guide me throughout the day! You know that is my middle name and I am proud that you collect something special to so many of us! I have a few...like you,I can tell you where each came from and same with my bear buddies.
For cherished friends who are having medical visits, hospital stays or feeling "under the weather".We are wishing you the "bearybest" in feeling better. and are with you in spirit. Thinking of all of you!
Have a wonderful Sunday! Hope that I did not forget anyone, see you on the beach and wear a light jacket as it is raining just like a soft mist.
May everyone be as fortunate as I with angelic friends and family members who have guided, supported and encouraged me. May we always have someone(s) who help(s)us realize what is really important in our lives. It is so very easy to get overwhelmed and stressed with our fast-paced lives these days. Take care,my beach friends...Happy Beach Trails!

Good Sunday morning, bunnies at the beach.....
Iris, I just finished reading your thoughtful and organized post and now I feel like I've tapped back into all of our bunnies. Thank you for helping me focus. Not enough time to greet everyone on this fly thru.... so sunny, Sunday sunshine sweet beach combers A to Z. Love and hugs to each and all. Sahalie, maybe you could organize one of your special picnics for later today. Jaz will stop by with the music, Margo needs a distraction from all of her incredible preparations and FootPrints flat out deserves your caring touch... and Candie wants to add some special selections to her collection.Must tidy house for SIL and then I am going to go HOME to my house and my husband!!!! First time in 2 months. Thank you angels.
Neesie & Iris, don't think the judges of the poll will allow reselecting dates at this point. It wouldn't be fair to WingGirl (hint, hint, hint)
I swear Sarah may take one look at Scott and squeeze them directly into his arms.... forgetting all about Earth Day. Time will tell. Pray on.
Thought I'd share me in my silliness yesterday. These pics were taken in the library admin building and the 2 sculptures were incredible!!0 -
Early sunrise at Virginia Beach,Va...
Wow,faith! Those are awesome outfits and you are so creative! I can't wait to see my new CD and book. I am going to think hard abt giving it to my friend's granddaughter! Glad that things are going much better as far as SIL coming home and you getting back to your own home. What a great mom you are! You look fantastic! What a thrill it would be to see you perform!
Thanks for the compliments abt my post! It was so enjoyable to think of all our beach friends here and all the many pleasures that I have attained from a bad time in my life. I suppose the lemons to lemonade saying fits here.

Good Morning Beach Friends. Just up and getting the coffee going. Will be back in a bit with the song of the day.
I just wanted to give Faith something to think about. Please excuse me if I'm being a butinski here. The filming of your presentation and posting it on the web could be a violation of your intellectual property rights. You might want to consult an attorney before allowing them to do this. It might be better for YOU to post it on YOUR site and that would allow you to keep control instead of someone else. I think it was a little out of line for someone to ask you to do this. Just my two cents. I don't think you should feel pressurd or feel bad to say 'no thank you' and that you will consider posting it on your site.
Edited to add: Maybe you should consider have your presentation professionally filmed and then you could sell dvd's to anyone who wants a copy of your presentation. This is your business after all.

OMG OMG......I am jumping up and down in my chair, tears in my eyes to think I may be the winner of the baby poll!! Sorry..... had to stop typing I was clapping my hands in excitement. I think I am more excited it was one of US on the BEACH I feel like we are all winners.
When I looked at the month of April on the calender I was drawn to Earth Day. Look at Faith (above).....she is so down to EARTH along w/ her caring attitude the 22 was a given for me.
I'll be back I need to go do some cartwheels.
YIPPEE!

Good Morning,
Winggirl, so glad you picked the date for our beautiful twins to be born.
Faith, notice I said "our". So glad that I will be a cyberaunt. Glad SIL is on his way home. I love your outfit...so colorful, creative. Sure the kids just love it.
Baby shower and confirmation parties went well. Had fun at both. I won a beautiful vase of flowers at the shower. Orange and purple flowers. Those are the colors of the new baby's room. They are having a girl. I love fresh flowers. At the confirmation party they had a great DJ. My knee has been behaving and I am one of those that are always on the dance floor....so the knee is hurting today...lol. But it is a good hurt as I enjoyed myself. It will take a couple of days to subside but that's ok.
An overcast day so far...but they say the sun will come out later. I hope so...I so need the sun. I am going to putter around the house today... a lil this and a lil that. Have lots of this and thats to do...lol.
Have a great Sunday..will be back later expecially cause I have to see Jas' song for the day.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie
Edited to add: Iris, those flowers look like ones I planted 2 years ago. They are called firecrackers...if they are the same but they do look like it...they grow straight up...pretty vibrant colors.

Faith, those pictures are "priceless" and "adorable." I'll have to read waaaaaaaaaaay back to see just what it is that you do. Or, I guess I could go to your website, duh me. Iris, you beautiful person you. Your most thoughtful post and amazing pictures filled me up this morning with a feeling of such peacefulness and happy. Thank you for the time you take to write such poetic posts filled with your heartfelt words.
Jasmine, I think you are right on about Faith securing that video and information. So did you get out of the car service dept. without having to pay a fortune?
It's gorgeous here but cool. I guess there is some cold front coming at us from Alaska and it's really cold in the shade or the house.
Out in the sun it's OK.
Well beach buds I have almost finished the one bedroom that at one time was the catch all for everything.
Instead of pushing things under a bed it got put in this one bedroom
I am happy to announce the room is beautiful.
Everything is gone. What a chore. Now the room is freshly painted, carpet cleaned, the big blinds are being cleaned and I am on my way with a friend this fine day to shop for some new bed linens.
I keep the bedrooms clean and simple these days. No clutter.
I laugh at myself cuz I'm now ready for guests at any time but I cringe at the thought sometimes. Heaven help me.
I do like my freedom.
I have family coming to visit the end of next month and I am looking forward to that.
Margaret, thanks for telling me about your fund raiser.
What a wonderful cause it is.
Candie, I loved your post and hearing all about the baby shower and pretty flowers. Take care of that knee cuz we have some fun and wild things coming up on the beach in April and you need to be under full power with all body parts.
Anyone for a race with the Beach Patrol?
The winner gets dinner served to them by the BP guy of your choice.
That's next month though but for this month and everyday should be "green day" so in honor of our Earth and our beautiful precious Ocean we will don our green swim suits and flip flops and paddle out to the reefs today to search for the fish and turtles of colors so magnificent we will be in awe of each one.
Don't bother with cameras as we will gently slide over the side of our outrigger into the aqua clear waters and float in quiet gentle peace while the sea families feels safe enough to venture close to us.
Love and Peace to each of you.

Hi girls, had a nice play day today now that I finished the program for next Saturday - it has been sent to the printer. Went to my cooking club today - the theme was "tea time." I made an awesome crab quiche and little deviled egg sandwiches. Next month's theme is to make something with alcohol in it.
Iris, I love reading your posts - caught me up with everyone.
Faith, we're eagerly awaiting the birth. And I agree with Jaz about the IP.
Sahalie, it has been COLD here and windy this weekend. I have a blanket on now but I think tomorrow is not so good and then the rest of the week is supposed to be nice.
Hope everyone is doing well and I'll try to drop in this week.

I almost didn't want to go cause of my lymphedema and cane. But I got over my pity party and know how lucky I am. I am very lucky to have friends like you! May you fined peace in each hour and day. Hugs, Debbie

Hi to all of you and a late Sun Evening or early Mon Morning to you,
Hope that each of you has had a great day on/near/cyberly at the beach. It has been a gray-overcast afternoon with April showers. However,we really had needed water and had such a severe drought that rain is wonderful, today.
Faith...wow,we are all so ready for the great news and I know you are ready to go to your house after two months. Your daughter and gson will miss you I know. However, for me,home feels good after an absence.
I think that Jas gave you excellent suggestions re:the filming/taping rights. I hv known of a few people who gave permission for some very creative educational ideas without total rights later on. I am not an atty(or have any afiliation)but it certainly is something to ask an atty-JMO. Since you asked, hope I don't sound too pushy. Just later on,I watched some educators who had no rights to their works when profits/praise was dealt. Just something to think abt(I know there is plenty happening now)for business issues.Once I was planning to write media articles abt elem schl children's self-esteem and my mother was going to illustrate the pics for a national magazine. They wanted us to pay this exorbitant amt of money to buy an ad and later, they might buy my articles. I chose not to do it as I did not have any legal knowledge and it was a Madison Ave editor that was very sure of herself;talked fast to my Southern dialect.Ha! She was not happy that I would not send them the $500. You do what feels right for you...just my two cents.
This kaleidoscopic image reminds me of your beautiful and eclectic designs,faith...love the backgrounds and that your outfit just is so creative. I had lots of colors and designs in my classrooms when possible. I always thought our lives would be more interesting if we had the 64 colors from those old Binney-Smith crayon boxes(ones w/built-in plastic sharpener).
Jas...I think that you gave faith some great advice and some super things to think abt when pursuing business quests. It is sure helpful to think abt things in many diff ways before making up one's mind....JMO. Man,I so loved those Sesame Street characters. What a neat YouTube clip! Hope that you had a great wkend and that your wk will be a good one! Yes,the closets are coming as I got rid of the last Roomba...hated that! It sure looked good when I saw it on TV and demos. We nev know until we actually get things in place. It works great for some people but I like the other type vac cleaner. This is so me...then,I start again as you said...take it a small step-at-a time.
Sahalie...that is the most beautiful water! I am so ready to hop onboard the outrigger canoe. Wow! I just love that beautiful water that is so clear that it appears transparent...thanks for sharing such a lovely visual! I am bringing us a happy parasailing crew for another fun activity. Your descriptions of our planned outings are so neat that I am so ready to pack a suitcase! LOL Congrats on that awesome work inside the house! My allergies were so bad this wkend that I accomplished little. The rain helped the pollen...yeah! I think my friend's three cats cause issues when I visited as I had sneezing, etc and the got up my dander...LOL I do LOVE to read your posts and everyone's here! Thank you,Sahalie, for your kind words...this thread and the people are very special to me. Have a great Mon! Your weather sounds awesome.
Candie...congrats on winning such a neat prize at the shower! That makes you feel so great to win and orange and purple flowers sounds beautiful! I love fresh flowers, too. Not long ago, didn't you win at a St Patrick's gift-like some money at an event? Hope that you like these flowers as the vibrant colors just are so striking!Have a great Monday and hope it is not a long 12-hr day for you. Maybe you can get outside at lunchtime for a few minutes. That seemed to help me during long days at school and changed the atmosphere for a few minutes. Did the friends have names selected for the new little one? Have a great Mon!
Neesie...I imagine that you had a great time with little gdaughter. She must have been so thrilled with faith's creative work. I cannot wait to see it and share it with Erin,my best friend's three-yr-old granddaughter. I am glad that you collect angels and this one is for you! How is your mom? Thinking of you...I like to write just for fun;did mostly technical writing and educational things---ie report cards and reports! This is more fun!!! LOL Thank you for the kindness...it is therapeutic as I am real wordy...always! LOL I want a new curio cabinet as I have no real place for my figurines. After the break-in,I have nev gotten them placed back where they were as I had painting and new carpets, door, etc. So,got angels that are waiting to fly back to the right shelves and their former locations. Do you do that...procrastinate and hope that the angels will just go on their own speed? Yeah,I am dreaming...
Margo, just a few more days and then, all that hard work is so appreciated. Can't wait to hear all abt the great details and how beautiful everything was and how it all went so well. You will do well as you are so organized and such a caring person;the groups are so lucky to have your talents and your kindnesses. Your food sounds good;esp the crabmeat as that is one of my fave hors d'oeuvres. As far as desserts, you will make a fab one,I know. My culinary skills are missing;but,I sure do appreciate the talents of others.
Wings...how is your weekend? I hope that you had a nice one. This is
a neat lighthouse,I thought. It reminded me of the beautiful pics that you have posted. I want to see MI one of these days as I know it is a beautiful state from pics I have seen. Great job on guessing the correct date! That is an awesome statement abt faith and the neat date. I have always loved Earth Day and tried to instill recycling and environ measures to kids.
Thinking of all our friends/angels and those who are having med procedures, tests and dr's visits this week. You are cherished and special friends and thank you for being in my life!
Time to say good night, beach buddies...taking a midnight or later stroll on the beach and glad to see so many kind and caring friends. Have a great Monday and super week! Thank you for sharing this time with me!

Hi beach buds, just wanted to say good morning and will be back later.

Beach bunnies!! Good rested morning to each of you.... can you tell I spent the night in a bed? MY bed!! With my DH!! (Read into that all that you want.)
SIL made it home safely, tho delayed.... I gave him a BIG hug and walked out the door!! I want them to have as much private and alone time as possible to sort thru the various past emotions involving his mom/the drama and to anticipate tomorrow -- getting that all organized.
Came home to hubby. We went to a movie and then (drumroll) he very casually took us over to the department store beside the theatre. He walks us straight to the jewelry counter and asks me to pick out something to remind me how "wonderful" I am.
I kept pinching myself not to start crying. So I am now sporting a lovely cocktail type ring with 3 sparklies that compliments my wedding ring..... OHHHHH..... and he didn't stop there, he bought the necklace that matches!!
Of course you don't know my DH, but even tho he's always incredible to me, this really did take my breath away. He says it's his "I miss you, ring." Now you can have a collective: awwwwwwww.
Thanks to all for weighing in on the whole web/filmed training/IP issue. We (DH & I) talked it over at length yesterday. Have not met any conclusion. Decided that we want to 'see' it first before anything else (as to quality etc.) Many issues as you can imagine. Do you give away the cow? Or just keep selling the milk slowly, but surely???
The whole BC story gets woven into my thinking..... under the "legacy" stream-of-thought. Of course we're all on a limited run here on Planet Earth, but I really am attempting to get my work beyond the trunk of my car in light of my renewed sense of mortality. Not sure that makes a lot of sense, but perhaps the "marketing" of their posting would be a good thing???? Then on the other hand..... just tooooo many 'hands' of late.
So. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, Tues the 22nd at HIGH noon. It's seriously on his lunch hour -- which makes me laugh and cringe all at the same time. "Would you like a sandwich before you scoop out the other baby? Some chips with that umbilical cord?"
It makes me realize that this is his life. Very matter-of-fact. Does this all the time. Relax granny. Just another day at the office. Deliver twins on my lunch hour. OK then.
So now I have to give up being general contractor of the universe, praying continuously, but enjoying every minute at the same time.
Thank you sweet-sisters-of-the-beach for holding me together thru all of this... I hope that I will be able to offer you the same sort of unconditional support when you need it. Now let's go throw a beach ball around!! See ya at the parasailing platform.... right after I dock my sea kayak.

Somehow, I thought having the same post 3 times in a row, was a bit much.... You've allowed me to monopolize the thread with all of my story for quite a while now, but even for me 3 times seemed excessive.

Faith - awwww.....What a sweet DH you have. You deserve the sparkles! So glad SIL made it home safely. Love your colorful outfit and the background art....very clever.
Jasmine - I made your soup recipe yesterday. I love that the recipe is so versatile. I kicked it up a notch BAM - I used the cheese hash browns plus added extra cheese and crumbled bacon, green onions. I liked Nessie tip to use the O'brien hash browns will have to try that next time. I did reserve a 1/2 cup of the broth to mix w/ the gravy mix - no lumps.
Footprintangel - SNOW oh no!
Margaret - Send the cooking club to the beach. That crab quiche sounds divine.
Iris - Our Beach author. You know how you can't
wait to read your favorite morning newspaper article? That's how I am with your posts. They are so thoughtful and caring and I look forward to your posts.
Happy Monday to all!

Faith, what a nice surprise from DH.
Wings, that crab quiche was excellent - didn't make it in a crust but did mix it all up in one bowl and poured it into a pie pan. Yum is all I can say!

Hey Beach bums!
Another nice day in MI!!
Winggirl: I just ate left over potato soup tonight............good isn't it!!
Margo: Crab Quiche??????????????? I missed something somewhere.....but, please tell me more!
Faith: Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll keep your DD close to my heart tomorrow as she brings two sweet bundles into the world!
Your DH sounds like a keeper!
My DH can be that way too.................but, he can still be a pain in the butt sometimes! A couple years ago he asked me if I wanted to go for a walk. Just before we got back to our driveway (dirt roads) he acted like he fell...I turned around and he was on one knee..............he had bought me a "past, present and future" ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Iris ANGEL: As usual.......your posts are always a delight to read! And you have know idea how it helps me out............................how in the world did you escape "memory loss"??????????????????
Love the angels you've been posting for me!!
Sahalie: Send me some of your ambition please! Clearing out and re-decorating rooms................feels good doesn't it?! Down Side.....Company now has a place to sleep!
When we re-did the walkout.......(for Southeners and West Coast...) our 'downstairs' or 'basement' has a walkout door and regular windows....so even though my house is a ranch........the back side is two stories high and that makes the 'walkout' ground level.................maybe I should skip the description!
Anyhow, we have a storage room down there with a fridge and such in it....so many people made the comment........my sister included..(no way!) that that room was going to be their bedroom! I quickly took a look around and filled it up as best I could!!
Jas: I couldn't listen to your song this morning...............was it just me?
Susan: Come out and play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still trying to get rid of the dog pee smell in my living room..............24 hours before I noticed it....................dang dog...................I was literally on my hands and knees smelling the floor trying to figure out what I was smelling....................I found it...........took a good whif of that and almost blacked out!.................Now in case you're wondering how I wouldn't notice it for 24 hours or so...........I'll 'try' to explain. It was on the carpet in front of the foyer............we pass by it upteen times a day............but now directly. Sat. Morning I saw a 'yellowish' tint on the carpet...kept on going and forgot about it..............saw it again and I'm such a dork I thought it was a shadow from the door being open..................forgot about it again....until Sunday afternoon when I went on the sniff looking for it.
Okay....I'm sure you all feel better hearing that story, right??!!
Back to the scrubber.............I'm afraid it's penetrated to the padding and beneath.................but I've got a 24 inch square that has never been so clean.........looking not smelling!
Hugs,
Neesie........AKA.........Grace!............or as Faith calls me...nEEsie!

Hi beach buds,
Faith, on countdown with you. Neesie, crab quiche for my cooking club - the theme was tea time. It was very good.
Crab Quiche If you are looking for a never-fail dish to serve at breakfast, brunch, lunch or even for a light dinner I have the recipe for you! This Crab Quiche is perfect for entertaining. It can be mixed and assembled the night before and then popped into the oven for breakfast. It can even be baked and held at room temperature for a couple of hours, since the quiche is great either fresh from the oven or just warm. The preparation is a snap - the hardest part is grating cheese - and it's all mixed in one bowl, so even cleanup is easy. And the best part is that everyone loves this rich and satisfying dish. Well, everyone except my sister who is allergic to crab, that is! You can change it up a bit by using half shrimp and half crab or all shrimp. And for a larger group just double the recipe and make it in a 9x13 baking pan instead of a quiche dish. Crab Quiche 4 eggs 1 1/2 cups sour cream low or no-fat works fine, too 1/2 cup grated Parmesan 1/4 cup flour 1 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp salt 4 drops red pepper sauce 8 oz crab meat 4 oz mushrooms, sliced button mushrooms are fine but try Criminis for a bit more flavor 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (about 8 oz) I like to use GruyèreMix eggs, sour cream, Parmesan, flour, onion powder, salt and pepper in a 4 quart bowl. Use a whisk or hand mixer and beat until smooth. Stir in crab, mushrooms and Swiss cheese until they are evenly distributed. Pour into ungreased 10" quiche or pie plate. Cook in 350°F oven for about 45 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before serving. Edited to add that I used a combination of low fat and fat free sour cream, used freshly grated cheeses, put in some sliced green onion and a dash of cayenne pepper.

Margo: That quiche sounds delicious! I'm writing the ingredients down and getting the stuff today..........................do you have to grate the parmesan?
Iris: Good sunny morning to you! Isn't the artwork in Faiths book great?!
Off to work I go..................I work very part time so I shouldn't complain....just wish my zest was still with me!

Neesie, yes, grate the parmesan and the swiss cheese or gruyere if that's what you use. I buy the Kraft parmesan that you grate yourself so I always have freshly grated parmesan and I grated my swiss cheese. I bought pie crusts to make the quiche but didn't use them since I found a different recipe. Let me know how it turns out.
Faith, with you today.

Good Earth Day to everyone.
Every day should be Earth day and I think we are beginning to understand just that especially celebrating the birth of two beautiful babies into Faith's family and who knows, maybe those two babies or Wonder Boy will mark the Earth with magnificent green footprints one day.
I wish everyone today a good pain free and positive day.
Margaret, The crab cakes look so delicious. I love them.
Clouds are coming in already as we are due for some rain today.
If I heard the weatherman correctly you will get a good amount down on the penninsula and south.
We need the rain big time here in the land of Cali.
Neesie, I think my zest left with your zest.
Is it the weather or left over SE's from chemo?
If you find your zest with mine please send mine back to me as I am missing it very much.
Yesterday I took a nap after my run and slept for over an hour, woke up even more tired than before so drank an Emergen-C that put me back on track.
I think it must be all the cleaning, sorting, throwing out of stuff and the beautiful sunshine that caught up with me yesterday.
I loved your "down side & now company has a place to stay" comment. Help.
Iris, Where are you dear one?
Your post from yesterday is a brilliant treasure.
We need more! The kaleidoscope above is so beautiful.
A magical mystery tour of the beach is in the works.
Footprints, I hope you were successful in getting the donor to donate.
Good luck on the race and please keep us up to date.
Jasmine, calling Jasmine.
Faith, new Grams to be. What a lucky pair of babies to have YOU as their gramma. Wonder boy is the lucky boy too.
When those babies see your amazing smile they will know how lucky they are.
I am so excited for you and your DD.
Goose bumples here while waiting. I missed the date by one day.
Breath deep, get good sleep and remember ~
When you are holding those babies, you have so many extra sets of arms holding them with you.
