LIFES A BEACH!

Sahalie, glad that the moles "were just an age thing". My boss is an MD and told me that about one of mine - the nerve! He's 4 years younger than me. That pic looks like where I want to be - on the beach in a lounge chair reading a book and drinking a beverage with an umbrella and fruit in it. American Idol is on in 40 minutes so I think I will shower first and snuggle in bed so I can enjoy it. No time to say hi tomorrow - 6 am hair appt!

GOOD MORNING Beach Bunnies, Beauties and Bears!!
Wanted you to know that I'll be AWOL for a while.... attempting to return to 'my' life in the midst of the twins saga. Have big keynote tonight other end of OH, then on to Indy for Highlight for their convention. YIKES.
Need your continued & specific prayers for Sarah. In my excitement about the babies I forgot to mention that she has a raging case of toxemia. We saw all of the scariness of this condition w/Wonder Boy.
She'd had compression sleeves for her legs for the first 24 hours. Her blood pressure is climbing so they are concerned (I'm alarmed, but they say "concerned" is the right description.)
So as we hold each other up (Margaret's grandson's story @ the top of the list) please keep up the prayers for Sarah.
Here's the twins getting ready for their first photo shoot:

faith...saying prayers for Sarah...all of you are in my thoughts!
Words fail me with the beauty and wonderment of those lovely little ones. It is like whenever we need to have a moment to just think abt what it's all about...miracles of birth and life.My angel is the one I turn to when I am in need of comfort and I am sharing her as she is very compassionate and watches all of us. Thinking of Sarah and sending her healing thoughts.A few of my bear friends and relatives are here sending their good wishes!
Hope your speaking engagements go well; all the best as I know it will be great. Your family is lovely and thank you for sharing them with all of us!
Amy...so good to see you and I hope the eyes are not as irritating. You are such a cool lady! How are all the "kids" doing these days? When they grow up,do you still call them " kids"?This little bear is ready to help on the farm and meet some new friends.
Neesie...hi to you! Hope you and Susan are having fun as the two of you are a stitch. How abt this angel bear? Did I tell you I collect angels, too? I get mostly bear angels;but, love the delicacy of the angels. I also need all the help I can get as I am not always walking with my eyes open and hit everything in sight! Yep,un-graceful is my name!
Jas...neat song for the baby...always did like to dance to the Ronettes and singing now...won't you be my..be my,be my little baby...Hope that things go well there with you and one more day until Friday. I guess everyone counts the days,I sure do...then,a weekend!
Welcome to badboob,Watson and great to see you, shrink.I have missed reading your neat posts. Hope all of you have a great and sunny Thursday!
Margo...thinking of Jacob and hoping that he is soon released from the hospital. Good to hear that he is feeling better;stressful week for the family. I know you are really getting excited for Sat evening's events.
Sahalie...great trip, as always, when we travel to all these exotic spots. Glad that your derm appt went well. Hate when the med drs talk abt "age".
However, good news is always reassuring. These pics reminded me of our excursion! I love fun beach blasts! Thanks for the chairs and the views!!!Susan...hi to you! Thanks for the kind words! These flowers remind me of you: have a great day!
Wings...thanks for all you do! I sent you a PM late yesterday. Hope that your day is going well.
Hope all cherished friends and beary special angels know how much we love them! Must run to a doctor's appt...actually,I had rather not run but crawl! LOL

Faith - The picture of Wonderboy, dad and the twins is priceless. Hope Dr. gets Sarah's bp under control so she can go home and rest. Good luck at your conventions.
Sahalie - Glad the mole was nothing serious. I had one of those tags on my nose - that was a painful procedure to endure since I had to have shots in my nose - ouch.
Margaret - Sorry to hear about your GS - hope he is feeling better and gets to come home soon. Thanks for posting the crab recipe - can't wait to try it.
Iris - How did your Dr. appointment go?
I see we have some collectors among us:
Iris - bears bears everywhere, books, angel bears
Candie - sea shells, ducks, salt and pepper shakers
Jasmine - books
Nessie - Angels
Wings - MI lighthouse figurines, Danille Steel Books - my children started collection for me they buy them as gifts
If I missed a collector please let us know.
Survivor should be interesting tonight - will James go? Girls rule

Sarah really a "basket case" (her term) postpartum, medication malfuntion, the toxemia, anxiety attack over Scott leaving............
Pray onward my new, dear, dear friends.

Sarah must feel so overwhelmed with all her body and emotions are going through.
Thank goodness she has you with her.
I hated when my dh had to leave me and go back to work each time our babies were born.
He always took a week off from work to stay home with us.
Right now her emotions and physical well being are doing flips and cartwheels as her whole being is working over time to get back on track and settle into a new and exciting routine.
You can count on tons of prayers Faith.
Those beach babies are so healthy looking and beautiful.
What a blessing.
Chin up beach beauty!

See you on the beach and in the waves.

Hi ladies, Jacob just got released a few hours ago and he wanted to come to our house. Poor thing looks so tired. Guess they'll be staying tonight anyway.
Faith, in case I didn't say it before (but I'm sure I did), the babies are beautiful.
Wings, I haven't forgotten you - have to get through tomorrow night and then I'll be good.
Sahalie, I so need to be on some beach right now.
Iris, I love the pics you post and your notes are so informative - keeps me up to date on everyone.

Thought for the day:
When you come to the edge of all the light you know
and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
there will be something solid for you to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.

Love to each of you beach combers.........

Good Morning Ladies,
I am new to this tread and would like to say that I love your beach pics. I am a real beach girl at heart and live on the water all summer. I was diagnosed last May 07..Mother's Day..had a lumpectomy and then off to Marco Island to lay on the beach and decide what to do about this bc. Came home and did rads only.
The ocean is a very calming factor in my life and I am glad to see that there are others out there like me. This bc thread is full of support for each other. I would like to join your thread...
Hugs to all beach girls out there...

It's late and much is on tap for tomorrow...enjoy the weekend!
I began this before I fell asleep in the early morn with the tide coming in and the lovely ocean mists;quiet time and magic!
Margaret...have a wonderful time and tell us all abt the great night's events! You have worked hard---big congratulations!I am so glad that Jacob was released and can rest a few days at your house. That was so awesome and I know that the family was so glad to have him home.I am so excited abt your event and feel like I am right there with you "in spirit"! May it be the best yet!You are such a great volunteer, organizer and friend! Thank you for all you do for each of us and everyone involved!
Faith...been thinking of Sarah and saying prayers for her to feel much better. Hope the weekend assists Sarah each day getting stronger enough to go home. How beautiful they are-like small miniature dolls! I know those adorable outfits made them look like they were right out of your "enchanted decor/village of Once Upon A Time".Best to the little "wonder boy"as he has some beautiful siblings! This is what life is all about and thank you for sharing as I felt like I was a "cyberaunt" and kept checking for news and updates just like I was there with you at the hospital! I even told my best friend--the twins have not come yet...then,yes! They are here and they are beautiful!
Wings...loved the list of collectibles. I have tried to give away some of the less loved bears-that is difficult!Glad to read of others'collections, too. My biggest issue is lack-of-space for storage;even built myself a new bears bookcase-still "bearlysane" due to spartan shelving spaces;small house. Thank you for asking abt my med appt--had been seven months and I saw a med onc. It was the best session in three years-almost. Finally,it was like being listened to and questions answered. Thank you for helping me last week-I want to send a card to you within the next few days.
Sahalie...nice windsurfing picure;love the clarity! You must be a professional photographer as your pics are awesome! Glad that your weather is so lovely as that will make our beach walks even more fun. Have a great Sat! Frankie and Annette---yes,remember them well and tried to be like Annette;just did not work;loved her pics and my Annette books and paper dolls. What a wonderful beach memory and in my mind I just knew that they had to be the "perfect beach couple" in real life! I think Frankie was married and had like six kids at home and not sure abt Annette;had all her paraphernalia...oh,need to stop or I will go on and on!
Jasmine...how are you and how did your week go? I love the tunes and the clips! You are always the one that knows exactly what song goes with each post...thanks so much! I miss all those when I leave, but I will listen to each when I come back and sing so loudly...glad the neighbors are gone! LOL Have a great weekend!!
Susan...hey to you and all the beach friends. I love to see your posts and saw the coolest Mickey and Minnie this week. It reminded me of your awesome trips to Disney and maybe we "all" needed us a little road trip! Have a great weekend,my friend!
Amy...hope that you are feeling much better with the eyes. I,also, hope that your trip to B'ham went well yesterday. Thanks for sharing all the neat pics of the family...hope the parentals had a great visit. To be or not to be...for me,it was not to be there watching the plays. Hope that it was fun! I have always wanted to go to the festival! How was the Chicken and Egg Festival because that was sounds "eggciting!" HA! LOL Have a great weekend and hi to Sandy and Tuck!
Nicki...enjoy the waves and the sun...good to see lots of familiar names with us and "our new cybertwins".
Welcome, blackjack! Great to see you and lying on the beach-just call me and I will bring my towel, sunscreen hat and iPod...about to say radio!
Racing out to have lunch with my best friend and buy out Target-kidding! I love Target and all those red and white circles everywhere...I know they have missed me buying all their specials! LOL Then,we are doing lunch before I go away for sev wks. Will miss all of you bear friends and will check-in from my "trusty tutti-frutti BlackBerryville!"
Hi to Candie, shrink and many other beach friends. Thinking of you and hope your week is good!
Anyone I did not mention,hi to you and the waves are good, the ocean breezes just right, there is coffee on the deck and a few beachwalkers are strolling in the sand,a few seagulls are swooping down hunting for their "breakfast" as well. No,seagulls, you are out-of-luck as the Starbucks is only for humans...LOL There are a few distant sailboats on the horizon and a few fisherman are out there with their nets;although, the fishing is not as it once was here in our beloved Atlantic Ocean areas. It is a lovely stroll...
Thanks for all the kind comments abt my cherished bear pics and angelic friends! I have enjoyed time spent here and with each of you...esp this week as I was so very anxious abt my med onc appt. Thank you for allowing a bearlysane person to share the bears, the beach and the best people that I have ever met! Your kindness is muchly appreciated! Take care...lovely day on the NC coast...no pollen, humidity or rainy weather...wonderful!

Today is auction day so thought I would say hello before the day began and got real crazy. Thanks for bearing with me the last few weeks with all the medical issues. Sis is still home after her hysterectomy/oopherectomy and now has a UTI. Saw the dr yesterday for a follow up visit and there is still something that she couldn't get clear margins on so in laymen's terms, when she stitched her up a few weeks ago, she was aware of that spot but apparently what happens in a lot of cases is that the stitched up area has no blood supply to it so it dies and that's what she is hoping for. A follow up in 3 months to see if that's what happened. So the ride begins again in 3 month.
Faith, drop in and let us know how Sarah is doing and how the twins are growing.
Wings, I made the crab quiche again yesterday. Yum yum. I'm going to experiment the next time and use ham and asparagus or something. I will see if I can make it lower fat by using egg substitute and see how it turns out. I did collect Christmas villages, one of my girls would spend hours with me setting them up during the holidays. She has her own house now and I've been giving them to her as Christmas presents over the last few years.
Sahalie, I think we're going to have some great weather this weekend. I had a spray tan yesterday and even though my dress for tonight is long, I decided to have my legs done too so I could wear shorts tomorrow since it's supposed to be nice.
Nicki, haven't seen you in a while. Was thinking of you this morning when I saw the news that the semi had slammed into a train station in your area.
Blackjack, welcome to the beach. You'll find it very tranquil here.
Iris, Jacob has lost weight and couldn't eat last night but he did feel better after a shower and grandma always has their favorite ice cream with cones here so he ate an ice cream cone afterwards and said he felt better. He watched the Sharks game with Joe and then went to bed. So glad your onc. took the time to talk to you.
I will come back after the auction and say hi.

Quick pop in!
Margo: Its funny I was thinking of you too this morning lol. They are talking about a White Shark that attacked someone near SanDiego. I know your SanFransico, but when you live in Chicago it sounds to close for me.

I am can we say exhausted!
Out at the coast er on the beach all day, just got home, it's in the mid 80's with a gentle breeze here.
The beach was beautiful.
So sorry to read about the retired vet who was bitten by the shark while swimming early morning yesterday.
Don't those guys know that early morning and early evening is when all fish including sharks like to feed.
Poor family.
Margaret, tonight's the night. Wow. Enjoy and I can't wait to hear all about it when you have a chance to share.
I bet you look fantabulous with your tan.
How long does one of those last?
Hello to Iris our brilliant poetic wonderful beach babe.
Also to Wings our light in the light house.
Jasmine where are you?
Candie, Shrink, Amy the same goes for you.
There are shells on the white soft sands just waiting for you to find them and hold on to them to remind you each day of the gentle nature of the beach.
Faith, you must be in your glory with those two little beach babies and Wonder Boy.
Such fun and coos.
I feel so great and empowered that I got two visits to two different docs completed and out of the way.
I'm such a procrastinator so this feels purty good.
I hope all is well with each of you and that you will be ready next week for some fun in the sun and a new game on the beach.
Details later.
Right now I need my beach lounge and some sunscreen.
I'm taking a nap and relax to the sound of the waves waving.
Welcome to BlackJack. Grab a beach towel, your flip flops and join in.

BlackJack - Welcome to the beach. I was just going to hang around here for a few days but found the beach goers to be amazing friends. I'm addicted and can't stay away.
Margaret - That's good news that your GS is home. He must be feeling better eating ice cream - the all time comfort food...besides chocolate. Hope you raised a ton of money at your fundraiser - always a good cause when it benefits children. Never done the spray tan - sounds interesting. Your Christmas village collection sounds charming - it's nice you can pass the collection on to your daughter. I use to collect Gingerbread people ornaments and decorated my Christmas tree with them. Last year I kept the "Gingie" people in storage and did an all pink tree in honor of my 1 year. I loved the tree and all it's twinkling pink lights it made me sparkle w/ joy every time I looked at it.
Sahalie - Sounds like you had great weather on the coast ...nice you got to enjoy the day. I was touched by your comment abt the lighthouse - thank you!
Iris - Happy that your onc. appointment went well. So nice when we find a Dr. that will listen to our concerns. Hope you had a great lunch w/ your friend and you left some items for the rest of us to buy at Target.
Faith - Have a safe trip home. Nice quote...

Good Morning Beach Girls,
I have been a little stressed these past few days and coming here and seen such wonderful pics of the beach and water has made me feel sane again. You all are very supportive to each other and that is refreshing to see. I wish I knew how to do those great pics but not that computer savvy. I had to have someone walk me through for my sunset avatar. lol My fave places are Maui and Captiva..anyone like those places too. I love the shelling in Captiva..South Seas is the best place for shells.
Need a beach chair, cabana boy and a cosmo..anyone want to join me on the beach..
Hope you all have a great beach day and weekend..

Good Sunday morning beach Angels.
The waves are soft and gentle this morning and calling us into the translucent waters to swim amongst the multitude of colorful creatures.
Faith, How is Sarah feeling this weekend? I hope her stress level is down and she is feeling more relaxed.
Please nuzzle your little beach shells for us and tell them brightly colored buckets and shovels are waiting for them on the beach when they are ready.
Margaret, I hope you are getting to sleep in this morning and are quite happy with the outcome of your hard work and fund raiser.
It must have been really wonderful.
Footprints, It's great to see your post. I hope you find some relief with the lymphedema as I know from reading that it can be so miserable.
I bet being in the water, say like the beach or a pool would help with it just like being in the water when pregnant.
Nothing felt better. The feeling of weightlessness felt so good.
It was getting out of the pool when I had a real problemo as the reality of the weight hit.
So many of us have shared how we gained this mysterious weight with chemo and it just wants to stay on us and not leave.
Like an unwanted guest who jams in and won't get the hint.
We try and try but to no avail.
At least for me anyway. That's why I love the water so much.
Dear wonderful Iris, Lunch, Target and a doctor that will listen.
I give your day a "10."
Wings, Hi Wings, I hope your week goes fantabulous.
Hello to the Angel that is off to other places. You are missed.
Time to go out and journey through the day.
Outrigger races out at the lagoon point.
Susan..... Hi. Thank you for word on Neesie.

SKIN TAGS. OH NO!!! I had a very long skin tag removed. It was gross.
Faith, the babies are beautiful and I'm praying for Sara.
Margo, good luck with the auction.
Iris, the flowers are still beautiful.
Sahalie, I love the Frankie and Annette picture. We were scandalized over their two piece suits.
I got a text message from Neesie. Her computer is not working. She wanted me to let everyone know she is ok.
Going to the beach:

Hey Beach Ladies. Sorry I've been AWOL but I've had the most fun the last few days. I've been celebrating the arrival of spring with some good friends from work. We don't have any beaches here but I got to do the next best thing and go enjoy one of our finer lakes. It was lovely just to ride in the ski boat and watch the skiers and then laze in the shade with a book and then roast some marshmallows in the evening. I haven't done that in ages it seems.
But its back to the old grind tomorrow. I hope everyone has been well. I'll be back to posting our daily songs tomorrow.
Faith -- I'm praying for your DD and all your grandbabies. I know that God can take care of this.
Margaret -- I'm so glad to hear that your GS is better and out of the hospital as well.
I think I heard on the news that they are moving those tax rebates to next week. I can't decide what to do, save it or spend it. Hmmm....???
