I'm back from my whirl wind road trip(s)!!! Back at the helm in baby town since last night. Scott left very early this a.m. so we are on our own again. (back to AFB) Some how Sarah kept from 'losing it' at his departure -- so we're hanging in.

They have her on a series of medicines, one for this, another for that, more for the other etc etc. She hates taking medicine and does seem to have whatever s.e. are possible. All-in-all tho we're making a lot of 'progress'...... save you the various biological details et. al. thank you for your continued prayers.... the angels are helping us keep our wits

have tried to read back and get caught up, grateful for the review posts

typing w one finger...... rocking precious one

i so wish you could all 'see' them: so absolutely amazing!!!

will post some new pics when i locate my camera battery charger ... it's m.i.a. with all the recent traveling about????

just wanted you to know we're keeping our heads above the waves

    Hi girls,

Shannon and kids have gone home, although Jacob still doesn't look right. Auction is over - we raised over $12k for under privileged kids in my county.  Not too bad, considering we raised ticket prices this year, the economy is not the greatest, and this fundraiser is put on by less than 20 women.  The theme was An Evening with the Stars and everything was old Hollywood glamour, very elegant.  The women looked great, our packages were great, a very nice evening.

Iris, shopping and lunch always make for a good day.

Sahalie, I had a long dress on so you couldn't see the tan on my legs but they looked good.  My girlfriend has a spray tanning booth so she does it and it usually lasts about a week.  I only do it on special occasions or it I take a trip to Hawaii so I get a base tan.

Wings, I haven't seen pink twinkling lights, I like when I put the little white lights on my tree.

Blackjack, Maui is one of my favorite places.  I will be going there in September.

Hi Susan, the auction is over!  I am doing no committees on the auxiliary for a year.  My girlfriend and I had to promise our hubbys we wouldn't sign up for any committee.

    Hi Janny.

Jaz, glad you enjoyed the water in your area.  Sounds like a great weekend.

Faith, how are Sarah and the babies?

I did NOTHING today and it felt good.  I spent two hours at Starbucks with hubby, sister, and two girlfriends who worked on the auction with me and it felt good to not have to be anywhere or do anything.

Hope you all are doing well.

Good morning Beach Ladies.  It's a beautiful Monday morning even though its back to work for me.

Faith -- I'm glad to hear that your daughter is improving even if it is slowly.  I continue to keep them in my prayers.  When will you SIL get to be home for good?

Margaret -- I hope you GS is better soon.   That is a very nice chunk of money to raise for charity.

Neesie -- I hope your computer is fixed soon.

Iris -- I'm so glad you enjoy my songs.  :)  I think in my next life I want to be a disc jockey at a radio station so I can just play songs all day long.  Of course, the best music is from the 70's and 80's so it would have to be a golden oldies station.

Hello to Susan, Jan, Amy, Wings, Badbabe, and everyone else I didn't mention from A to Z.

Surprise song of the day!  Here's a song to get those feet jumping  to start the week.

    Hi All . . .

I saw Robin from GMA this morning while checking on the fires down in So. CA and she looks beautiful with no wig and going au natural.

    She looks stunning.

Margaret, I'm so happy and very proud of you and your friends for all the money you raised for your community.

What a grand thing it is that you do and give of yourself.

Also to know your grandson is coming along nicely is a huge relief.

Now go out and have some fun.

That's an order from the "beach patrol."

Jasmine, Hi there song bird.  Your lake adventure sounded so relaxing and fun.

    Wings.................Hey there light of light!

Neesie, I too hope your computer gets fixed pronto.

I just moved my PC into another room

Can you believe the dust that collects behind them.

    Criminal.

Faith, I love hearing about the babies.  You holding one while posting to us gave me such a warm fuzzy feeling.

Hello to Sarah and Wonder Boy.

Yesterday was a scorcher here, today is really nice with a breeze.

You know I think I forgot to mention that this month is my two year anniversay from having my bilateral mastectomy.

I sure wish since it's been two years already that I would get my energy level back to what it was.

    Does it ever come back?

We planted six more 6' Redwoods on our property this weekend.

This makes a total of 16 we have planted this year.

    They are so beautiful.

    Happy day all.

We had a great day playing the reality show: Babies 'R Us.

Tomorrow is their doc appt for shots etc..... it feels like we're going to be moving the troops -- serious planning, for our first trip outside of the house. Of course Sarah's not allowed to lift anybody, so it's gonna be interesting. I'll make 3 trips in & out of the office?? Our slogan: "We'll make it work."

    Here's a peek into today:

    Hi ladies, just checking in.

Sahalie, did you have nice weather yesterday?  It started turning cold here. Congrats on the 2 year anniversary.  My energy level still isn't what it used to be.

Faith, the babies are beautiful and wonderboy is so very cute.  Good luck at the dr's office.

Jaz, I think we can all identify with the song of the day.

Margaret - I'm sure you will put a big smile on all the children that will benefit from the auction. Great job!

Sahalie - Robin from GMA does look beautiful going natural she is such an inspiration for a lot of women. Your redwood tree planting sounds like a rewarding project. In the past for mother's day my children have bought me trees to plant - I love that gift idea.

Faith - I am wore out just thinking of you rounding up the troops for an outing. Sounds like you have it all under control. Sweet pictures of Wonderboy and the babes.

Jasmine - Enjoy your beautiful day. Sunny here in MI but cold had frost this morning.

Hi to Iris, Nessie, Footprintsangel and the rest of the beach crowd.

Faith.  Oh the soft fuzziness of it all allows me to actually think I am smelling their new baby smells and baby blankets.

You can do it.  Just remember the "Little Engine That Could"

You and Sarah are the engine.  Wonderboy can be the caboose.

    Boys usually like that anyway.

Those are two of the most healthy beautiful babies I have ever seen.

I have a baby shower to go to this Sunday so I was in a baby shop this morning and went wild.

Margaret, yesterday was gorgeous and really warm.

    Today is a different story.

I left early to do my shopping, fill my car with gas and use my life's savings, ha ha, and it was COLD.

There was a fellow at one of the other pumps filling his car and waving his arms in the air and asking everyone if we could believe this.  He was mad.  I think we all are.

I couldn't believe it.  It's overcast and breezing up my way here.

The clouds are gray and heavy.  What's up with this.

Tornado's in Virginia!  Fires in southern CA.

It's supposed to be in the 80's here this weekend.

    The weather is crazy.

Wings, I also love the gift of trees or plants too.

Jasmine, your songs you find and share are fantastic.  Thank you.

Iris, Where are you?  I hope out enjoying the day.

    I have a question.

I just had all my beach girl doctor appointments this past week and am wondering how long it takes to get the results.

Anyone watch the Bachelor last night?

Each season I say that's it but find myself watching it again.

It seems to be getting more ridiculous with each new season.

Hello to all the beach girls and remember it's ~

Neesie, Welcome home! I logged on hours ago and couldn't get connected either.  I was so frustrated and called the tech support who told me after checking my area code etc. that a lot of people are having the same problem trying to connect to their internet provider and suggested it might be all the phone company's working on the neighborhood boxes which has happened here now and then.

Finally after messing around with my sign on window, a little box popped up offering "quick fix" so throwing caution to the wind I clicked it.

Seven minutes later ~ I was connected.

I hope this is it for awhile as most of us get frustrated if we can't connect to our friends and loved ones via the internet.

    I am one of those.

    Welcome home!

    To all beach loverlies:

Time for stretching and a morning run up the beach to get our cardio pumping and also be rewarded with a fresh fruit and mimosa breakfast served to us by the beach patrol.

Shoes not allowed.  Bare feet only for this run.

Faith. I love your post check list.  Perfect.

Those soft baby faces. One sound asleep, one yawning.

    Priceless.

Jasmine. I am so glad to see you post.

Please don't let work interfer with beach time.

Please give Angel our best OK.

Always thinking of her and missing her so much.

Iris.  Iris.  Iris.  Where are you?  We are missing you big time!

Get thee to the beach Iris.  Brand new flip flops for you today.

Margaret.  How is everyone doing in the family?  You, Sis, grandson?

I hope everyone is on the mend and up and about.

Did you have the wind yesterday like we did?

Amy.  It's great to see your post.

Is it baby time with your family of goats?

I have two friends that have goats and love them so dearly as you do.

They have experienced a couple of sad times with difficult births and are having a hard time dealing with it.

I think most people don't realize how precious goats are and how puppy like and full of love they are.

Within the difficult times of loss with these situations they also have the joy of the baby goats.

I love seeing your avatar with your goats.

Wings.  Cool  Keep me posted OK.

Neesie.  I hope our computers don't act up anymore.

Who caught Paula last night.  Poor Paula.  She was confused.

Okay, time for the run up the beach.

Okay ladies..........I think I'm stabilized after suffering withdrawl symptoms over the weekend.............pulled the IV with the dripping Xanax out of my arm and am ready for action!  Computer withdrawl is the worst!

Wow, both Iris and Sahalie had Computer problems too............maybe we are contagious!  Glad all are back on line now!

    Iris:  Class of 72??????????????????  College or High School?  I won't say which....but I'm a 72'er also!

My Dear Friend..............you absolutely  made my day and then some....I have sent you a email!!  Please let me know if you didn't get it....I still don't fully trust this computer to do the right thing!

Margo:  How is your Grandson doing?  Is he home yet?

Wings:  YES!!!!!!!!  I am joining you on the 5th.  with stipulations............I am extremely 'directionally challenged'..........add that to my growing list of Challenges!.................Make the meeting place an easy one to find!  I'll buzz over to the MI site and see what's up!

Amy and Jan:  Feel like I haven't talked to you guys in ages.........probably cuz I haven't............gonna try to fix that problem!  Amy......the emails you send do crack me up!!

Sahalie:  Beautiful outings you plan for us!  My flip flops can't have the toe thing in the middle...........drives me crazy!  What the heck..........I'm the chick with the missing big toenails anyhow!!!!  Barefoot for me!

Jasmine:  Gonna go listen to the song of the day..........hoping you're doing well and the storms are leaving you alone!

Faith:  Love the checklist for this morning!  Have you nibbled the skin off those precious wee ones cheeks yet?  All of the cyber aunts have sent nibbles, kisses and hugs....!!

Let me know what, when and where for your concert Tuesday evening.....gotta plan on getting granddaughter there!

Missing many and not intentionally..............gotta ween myself back to the computer slowly............don't want a relapse!

    Hugs to all!

    Hi ladies,

    Faith, love the checklist.

Wings, the next cooking club theme is to make something with alcohol as one of the ingredients - I saw Nigella (Lawson?) on the Food Channel make margarita ice cream that was not only easy but looked pretty good so I was thinking of that, unless someone has another recipe for me to try.

Hi Amy, how are you feeling?

Sahalie, Jacob finally went to school today, but he's still pretty weak.  Sis has to go back to dr in 3 months and hopefully this time she will get clear margins, as the dr didn't get it all during the surgery At least her UTI is gone now.  Windy doesn't begin to describe the weather yesterday - it was cold....  Isn't Paula always confused?  Although I have to admit, she was more confused than usual.

Iris (and Neesie) I was class of 73.  Glad you both got your computer problems fixed.

Laundry calling me now.  Back later.

    Hi to all Beach Buddies!

Wow! I feel like I sailed away to another island after not getting on-line for several days. Reading from my BlackBerry is better than not having contact with all of you. However, goofus let the battery die in that one, too!

OK---fast forward as I can tell you, honestly,I am just beach addicted. That is better than being a beached whale. However,I can relate to that-too, as I had put on eight pounds since my last(Feb)dr's appt. Don't you just hate those skinny weighers-in who laugh when you ask can you take off jacket and shoes??? I had one who said to take off the necklace if it helped! I did not slug her as having my name on TV would not be that fun dressed in an orange jumpsuit at the jail booked for assaulting a skinny med person! Kidding,of course as I am not a violent person but boy,I sure thought some things! In the South, folks would smile and say bless your heart when I was growing up! Took lots of yrs for me to realize some were not really blessing me but "blessing me out" as we said in Steel Magnolias area! LOL

Anyway,Neesie, and Margo..class of 1972  was my university grad yr. We were called the Spartans and that is where I got that name as Spartans being tough and warriors. I changed it to bearlysane as someone,at bco, thought I was like 35 and wondered how I had retired so early in my career-after 31 years of teaching and knew all those old sixties songs? Would you believe my fortieth high schl class has a reunion this yr---I guess? That is not my thing;although it is at one of the NC beaches. Just never liked high schl...rambling on tonight!

Wish I could say it was the drugs for my head-not! Neesie, thank you for the PM and you, too,Margo! You are so kind to ask where I was. This time,I will be here(on the NC coast) abt 11 days to help parents. They have 7 or 8 med appts and we will go to those usu one a day or so. We make it an outing, each time, and the weather is marvelous. Spring is my fave time here as the irises are gorgeous(no conceit-just love that delicate, yet hardy flower) and the honeysuckle. Mother and I picked some wild honeysuckle today and she brought it into the house. I can rememb when we would pluck out the inside and suck the honeysuckle. Now,with all the crop dusting and other pesticides-not wise. Neesie, got 10 more pounds of MI red delicious apples!! Yummo--like Rachael R says...love your apples!

Margo...great that Jacob is getting stronger each day. I know it will take some time to get his strength back like he was. However, being that young it seems kids are so resilient in so many instances. Thinking of him,Jocelyn,Shannon and everyone else in the family. So proud of your hard work on the fundraiser! There are kids whose main summer thrill will be that trip to camp! That is awesome to provide that experience...Congrats and enjoy the time away as you deserve some "you"time. Your dessert sounds awesome...wow! I think that you should write a cookbook or have a cooking show! Your meals always sound wonderful.

Amy-glad to see you here! I always love to read your posts and feel like I am almost back in the heart of Dixie where I began...too long-winded tonight! Hope soon all those irritating seffects take a hike! You are a wonderful writer and love those neat pics. So, how big are the little "kids" now? I bet some are getting big, aren't they? Thought of you as I saw the coolest Jeep Wrangler with top down and folks having a blast! The wind was just blowing in and it was the coolest thing. Take care! Thanks for asking abt me;you are so caring abt your friends and I appreciate it!

Sahalie...thanks for the kind words! I missed everyone here, too! It is like checking-in to see if you have our outing so I will know what to put it in my duffel bag that day. I love that welcome to the beach time sign with the lovely starfish and shells. Our boat is ready for us and we even have a neat dog who will prob want to come along on our trip! I am ready-to-go and have flip flops ready, sunscreen, plenty of Off(Scented lotion,my fave)sunglasses,sunhat...will there be room for anyu of you? Yes! The redwoods sound lovely and I would love to see them one day. I am not sure that I ever have-beautiful in pictures!

Wings...hi to you,too and thanks for asking abt me! Saw the most beautiful coastal lighthouse one day this wk and thought of your lovely pics. Thanks, again, for helping me and I sent you a small pkg that I hope reaches you tomorrow, maybe. I hope it is nice weather there and that you are having a great week! I was reading your first post here and am so glad that you and all the neat beach friends meet here. I look forward to everyone's happenings. Funny,as we become like a neat family and ask where another person is and it makes me feel so grateful to know all of you! How lucky I am to have met each of you here for our daily beach visits! Love it!

faith...cool pics of the little ones and the check-list was neat. I am glad that you are able to be with Sarah as she gets stronger and stronger. Those little ones are beautiful as is "Wonder Boy" as well. I love the pic of him in his little chair...he looks like he is protecting them and so full of awe. What a great pic! Best to you on your speaking engagement and have a great trip!  Tell our MI Beach Buddies hello for the rest of us! Oh,have a blast!!!

Jas--glad to see you and I want to be a beach disc jockey, too. I love all the music from the 60's-70's and some 80's and 90's. The 60's though, that was the music that still makes my heart beat a little faster and the beach tunes were so popular then-now,too. What is happening there? I think your boat rides sounded great and lots of fun.Loved that music from YouTube...those penguins were cool(literally/figuratively-ha!)and it was music reminding me of "Dirty Dancing"...great clip!

Susan...always great to see you! Hope that you are not working too hard these days. I love lilies, too, and glad that you do.There is something abt a bouquet of fresh flowers that is so pleasing to me. Thanks for all you do for me and all your cherished friends. You are so caring! Hello to the beautiful Buffy, the Wonderdog and your dh,too.

Janny...hi to you, too. I think that I read your weather in PA was good this wk. I love this springtime and know it makes for great rides on your bike. Thinking of you!

footprintsangel...hope that your week goes well and glad to see you on the beach with us.

Doris, great to see you at the beach. Hope things go well with you.

Shrink--big hi to you! I saw where you had posted and glad to see you.

blackjack...great to see you here! This is a super place to get-away from the stresses that life may bring. A beach-whether it be real, cyber or in our dreams is always a wonderful place to be-in my opinion.

Nicki-nice sunny picture for all of us at the beach.

Feel like I have omitted someone...not intentional. As I have said(with tons of words)thanks for thinking of me this week. I think it was Neesie(maybe)who talked abt withdrawal...I sure had it!

    Iris/Spartan72/bearlysane...bearyproud of cherished,angelic friends

A  real friend takes a hand and never lets go as the two become cherished and special angelic pals forever....

Morning beach buds, hope everyone is doing well.

Jaz, where are you with the song of the day?

Iris, love your posts - they are informative and make the best cliff notes.  The science camp occurs during the school year and is a week-long experience for these kids - I guess it's about $300 for the week and 5th and 6th graders go.  This fundraiser provides scholarships for kids that can't afford to go.  Last year we sent over 600 kids to camp for a week.

Footprints, I hate fighting medical insurance.  Hang in there, things do get better.

Hope everyone has a good day.

If you stand in front of Iris's beach hut and look at the ocean, it's a couple of 100 meters to your left.
Also free flip flops for all and for those who are "toe challenged" soft sandals with shell shaped velcro strap.
Take Margaret's footpath through the dunes and down the stairs, at the beach look left and you should see me along with Amy, Neesie and Faith on the beach and some discs flying.
Game is from 7pm till sunset.
You sign up individually and teams will be formed by drawing names out of Footprints hat...

If I've left anyone out I am apologizing now as I've had way too many SanPellegrino Limonata's today.

Get your game on girls, it's party time.

    Spectator's, dogs and goats welcome.

One caution..... watch out for the beach patrol's "Rocket Dog" as he loves to jump in and steal the frisbee.

Okay see you at the game.

Frisbee is the closest I come to athletic, unless we play ping-pong.... cuz then I get seriously fierce. Hope to get back here tonight after the big "bath-time extravaganza."

In the mean time look for the flags on your way to the tournament.

Sahalie - Sounds like fun - loved how you included everyone. I am bringing some serious competition - I need all the help I can get. And he even has wings.

Faith - I sent a PM w/ cell# did you get it - came up as error so not sure if it sent?

Iris - You dear sweet friend. I received your package yesterday - thank you. I was touched when I opened your card. I love decaff mocha's and we have a new Starbucks being build in a nearby town. I will think of you when sipping my next Starbucks. You are so BEARY kind.

Big weekend for me. My DD is graduating from Central Michigan University tomorrow - so proud of her.

Hugs to all the beach crowd.

    Game ON.
