LIFES A BEACH!

I began this post and found a few "bearyspecial"pics as I have collected bear memorabilia for over 40 plus yrs. Please feel free to skip it,if I am too rambling and too emotional. Just one of those days and writing is cathartic for me...However,I thank all of you for your kind comments and the things that we share with each other. Many times,I just come here to read and view the pics as it is mesmerizing and I am enthralled!
Wow,Sahalie, thanks for the beautiful pics and your awesome words! I love to read your writing and everyone here's words...thank you! This is an emotional week as it is time for med onc...
I had taken my Ambien and knew it was a risk to type(LOL)as it makes me groggy. Well,I rememb typing the first part,to Sarah and faith this morning, and then abt thirty mins later,I was on the keybd nearly So,I went back to sleep. Thankfully,I did not order anything as one night I ordered this big arrangement of flowers for my good friend and the card sounded like someone singing some of those 70's lyrics where you go...huh? I later went back and fixed the card before I sent it...funny and I know when it hits...zzzzzzzz Morpheus will call my name!
Hey to all...Happy Earth Day....I love this day and we used to have great celebrations in my classes at school. We would do lots of recycling activities and make it real as possible. We had big ecological fairs, sometimes, speakers and esp environmental scientists who would tell us such neat stories abt the Earth!
Sahalie, love those pics! Thank you for sharing as it is a subject so relevant and love the way your pic's clouds are almost shadowing the earth like it is being protected from harmful pollutants, rays, etc. See,I am thinking wishfully, aren't I? You are so kind abt my writing and it really is appreciated. All the friends that I have made have just really been such a great bonus as this(for me and many others,I am sure)had to be one of the most challenging moments of my life...However,like the rainbow which is my name...there was a reason and connecting with so many neat Beachgoers has been awesome!!! Yes,indeed,a Magical Mystery Tour...that would be awesome as well. Those are the "best"songs! JMO...I know I love them as much today as then...if not more!
Waiting for news abt Sarah...hoping abt now the twins are on their way. All the best,Sarah and faith, all your family, too!Thinking of all of you and the little grandson as he awaits new siblings. What an exciting event for all!
faith, congrats on the new necklace and ring! That is awesome and what a special treat! Those you treasure always! I loved the way you described the feelings and could picture us there and yes,we,all, did a collective sigh...and it was awesome! Great as the past few wks have bn very intense and stressful for your family. So good that SIL came on Sun and was there for the births!Your pic has such lovely colors...thank you for such vibrancy! What a great way to begin the day with yours and Sahalie's pics today and everyone else's thoughts and pics...
Jas...missing you and hope that work is not too busy today. I do love to hear the songs and see the neat pics that you choose. It is such a neat thing to open up and see what the surprise is. Thank you for doing it for us! Here is a pic to let you know I was thinking of you:
Margo...that quiche was certainly gorgeous and almost made me want to cook(or better yet go out to eat!) It looked so delicious! Just a few more days and then the big night. I am so excited to hear all the details and all the neat happenings! Can't wait!! All that hard work and you will have a "ball"!
Candie... thinking of you and I am trying to shrink my pic to show you these orange flowers that were so pretty. They were 1/2 price at Kroger and the nicest lady said don't you want them and I said yes, don't you? She said she had no room for them and was leaving town. I took them very quickly as they were so pretty and a huge bouquet. So,until the printer decides to be nice to me and prints me pics...I send you these good wishes...
Hi,to you,Neesie! I have been finding the angels that remind me of you and glad that you liked them. I must get the curio cabinet as you are inspiring me! I will not do the big TV entertainment center...yet! That was so cool the way you described it and your dh is so neat! I want the lighted type and need to start looking around as guess the angels aren't going to send it by Fed-Ex unless I intervene! I was kind of hoping that it might just come....nah!
Like this little angel buddy could be singing up a storm and playing a few angelic tunes today...my relatives actually were in this band in the old days and they traveled around the countryside. Well, they called themselves The Angel Band(last name was Angel, right) people sometimes thought it was a joke like it was the times when there were spirits flowing that should not have bn...like they were trying to cover-up or hide their identity/none of them drank! HA!
Hi to all those cherished friends who are seeing doctors today or in the hospital awaiting tests, surgeries or other med procedures. Thinking of you and this doc looks like he would be "bearysmart",what do you think? I know that he would be "bearykind" and caring! Love you, my friends, and you have stood beside me when I was anxious and worried. I always stop and thank bco, here,as I would never have met all of you if not for this wonderful place!!! Thanks!
It is is a "bearyspecial"thread to be here at the beach! I know the sand can make us feel sticky and kind of icky,at times, but we all stay together...thank you for being a friend..do you rememb the "Golden Girls" theme...love that!
Hi Wings! Thanks so much as I had not seen the pm and then,I reply with a blank one. Now,does that tell you where the brain is or what?? Hope that your day goes well and that MI is having weather like ours. I stop the posting every now and then to just go outside and breathe in the delightful smells and the sounds of spring. So,if you think that my post is growing like my waistline,it does!!! LOL I keep adding to everyone'e name until I find a picture that I like to remind me of a neat event/happening.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the luckiest one of all? All of us as when we have each other,as we have found that all that glitters is not gold...but the worth of each of our souls is worth its weight in gold! What we have found here...true friendship can't ever be tarnished! To all the special angels, bear buddies and friends along the way...thanks! I love this song(Alabama sang it) abt angels among us...I so,do,believe it and cherish all the angels that have helped me through the challenging days!
To my special bear bud,K and her dh and my new bud,D...Happy Anniversary to you,my friends, and your dhs!

Happy Earth Day and here are our brand new Earthlings. (Leave it to winner Wings to think of that truth!! Made me smile even bigger!)
Trevor was born @ 12:18 and McKenna quickly thereafter @ 12:19.
Trevor was 6 pounds 5 ounces & 19.5 inches
McKenna was 5 pounds and 12 ounces and 18.5 inches.
They each have just a suggestion of whispy fine baby hair.... and I swear that it's strawberry blond at this point -- which would send me into rhapsodies of epic proportions. The nurse agreed, that I wasn't just hallucinating on adrenaline.
Here they are at an hour old:
Here they are at about 6 hours old. Can you tell them apart now?
And here I am with them at almost exactly 7 hours old!! (I'm the one with the big smile!!) Tell me when I've exceeded the exhuberant new-grandma-of-twins limit for pictures. Can you smell that new-baby smell? It is indeed divine.
Each baby had nursed and filled a diaper or two prior to my departure. DD, sweet mama is really deliriously happy, exhausted and in a whole earth-world a pain, but oh so delighted. Proud papa is strutting like the rooster on deck. I'm so THRILLED that he got to be here for all of the celebrations!! Sarah is currently running a temp and having side effects from the various meds that have her broken out in huge blotches and one big itchie mess..... but super-nurse (the best of the best of the best: why can't all medical people be this incredible?) assures us that all is within 'typical' bumps on the road.
Thank you each and all for your prayers and support. Wing Girl I just couldn't believe your guess was sooooooooooo close!! PM me your snail address and I'll get your prize out in the coming mail. Stay tuned. The fun is only just beginning.

Sorry, out of touch. Hope all are well.
Neesie, that recipe I posted is for a crustless quiche. I was going to make one with a crust and then found the one I posted so now I have to figure out what to do with two pie crusts.
Faith, those babies are beautiful, and Deb is right, I can smell their new baby smell from here!
Shannon had to rush my grandson to the emergency room yesterday afternoon and called while she was waiting for the doctor. She called back and told me to get to the hospital because he was critical. Joe, Ryan, and I rushed down there. Jacob's had the flu for several days and apparently since he's been throwing up for a few days and not getting his insulin levels properly, it threw off the minerals in his body. He had diabetic ketoacidosis, basically he was on the verge of a diabetic coma. He had a CT scan and by the time we left last night, he was doing much better. He'll be in the hospital for several days so not sure when I'll be back on, between seeing him in the hospital and my fundraiser.....breathe, breathe, breathe.
Love you all.

Good morning beach beauties! So nice to see the new faces here!
Jas.........love the song.......and perfect for today!
Iris..........just love reading your posts..............so creative and inspiring....you, Faith and Sahalie should get together and publish.....you all have a special way with words!
Isn't it 'fun' being challenged??!! Along with my life full of "grace" I've also got the 'foot in mouth' disease! I can say what I think is innocent and it comes out sounding 'X' rated!!
Margaret: This Saturday is your Fundraiser, isn't it? I think it is great what you do and how hard you work on it!
Off to the shower!

OMG.......Margaret............we were posting at the same time. How terrible about your Grandson..............I'm so glad he stabilized..............he's got lots of Prayers going his way and tons of love and hugs from all of his cyberaunts.
Had he been DX with Diabetes prior?
LOL about the Crab Quiche without the crust! As I now have two pie crusts in the fridge awaiting a filling of some sort!!!!!
Hugs,

Beach Buddies,
I have to walk up the beach to the doctor's office today and get a goofy looking mole checked out that I noticed on my leg a month or so ago and have been kind of scared to go see.
But being with such a group of beautiful brave women gave me the empowerment to make the appt.
I hope our new gramma and beach babies are fine and dandy today and new mama is feeling good.
Also "Wonder Boy" We can't forget about him as his world has gone from having his loving Mom and Grams all to himself to now sharing with his beach siblings.
Love to all, happy and kind day to all and to others with their own appts. today love and positive thinking are going with us.
See you on the beach later.

Faith, thanks so much for the baby pictures ... or should I say babies pictures. hmmm.... have to think about that one. We have a lot of writers here. I'm sure I'll find out.
Iris, I love all your bear pictures also. Fits right in to this wonderful thread.
Neesie, where have you been. Have we broken up???
hugs to all I haven't met yet also.

Just stopping by to pick up my towel and flip flops and calling it a day!
I just made (and ate) the Crab Quiche that Margo gave the recipe for..........DELICIOUS...............and better yet...........EASY!! I lightened it up the best I could..but not so sure it is on the Visa Diet Part 2!
Hope all you Beaches (sorry, couldn't resist!) have a good night!

I'll come back later - I'm at work in our office area all by myself so got a chance to sneak on. Neesie, I used low fat and fat free sour cream (I use the sour cream whose packaging looks like a cow - I can't taste the difference in their sour cream). The quiche is lighter because there is no crust. I used full fat cheese but I bet you could use reduced fat - wouldn't use fat free, and I bet you could lighten up the eggs but since I was cooking for my cooking club, didn't want to experiment. The quiche is good, isn't it? Great for a light dinner with a salad.
My fundraiser is this Saturday. With my gs's hospitalization, I just want the fundraiser over with so I can concentrate on other things.
Sahalie, what did dr. say about the mole?
Have to go now. I'll be back when I can.

Margaret, Thank you for asking about me.
All is OK thank goodness. I was with high BP going today.
Moles or goofy skin things are nothing to mess with.
My doctor told me it was a natural "age thing" GACK!
Age thing?! We both laughed and he froze it.
I also had two tiny dots frozen off by my nose and ear and a skin tag off my chest.
If breasts can't live on my chest then skin tags have to get the heck off too.
The nerve.
So, I meandered my way back to the beach, grabbed the weathered gray beach lounge with cushy pad down to the waters edge, threw my beach towel on top and took a nap for two hours.
Two glorious hours. So now I'm waiting for Idol tonight and really waiting for "Lost" tomorrow night.
Margaret i will be so happy for you to be done with your fund raiser so you can focus on your grandson like you said.
I know you must feel pulled in two massive directions at this time.
Remember to breathe.
It turned out to be a beautiful day here in the land of Cali with big lingering puffs of magical clouds hovering between sun rays.
Time to pull the beach lounge back up under the palms and rinse the sand off my feet and retire for the evening.
