It's a white liquid, 1 ml of Clavamox.  It looked like when she's hacked up old greens (plant material) before.  Oh, I wonder if it was their treats last nights.  I've been giving them these Pounce hairball remedy chewable.  I bet that has stuff in them to move the hairballs along....Won't do that today and see.... she's only had a few other times, as I quit giving them to her a couple days before surgery, and just started back last night.  thanks....I hadn't thought of those things till I starting answering your post....You're good for my wayward train of thoughts :)

((((HUGS)))) To the Nickster....no matter what anyone says, WE LOVE YOU! As for the "cryptic" post...I thought something smelled like fish when I read it. Especially if Felicia had them on "ignore"....

wish...the keyboard might be harder to type on but it sounds like it could be useful in "other" ways! :p

Jane - I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. My issues started with the Taxol and Herceptin round as well. During that I was able to deal by taking HOT showers, using heating pads and taking Darvocet. I don't know if you have anything presribed for the pain, but don't be shy about asking if you don't. My pain has increased with Herceptin only (every 3 weeks) and they bumped me up to dilauded as needed. Fortunately, I'm stopping Hereceptin for the time being and once I start back up I'll do it weekly and I hope that will eliminate the need for the Dilauded.

Nikki ~ Love the post...I'll picture that happening to those losers who hound you. They should really know better than to come into "your place" and think they could start pitting us against you as well. They don't know how much we love having you around!

Wish...my first kitty (casper) was on several different types of meds to try and control pain she had from arthritis...we didn't have any success in keeping them down because she was allergic. When she got sick, it looked like what you're describing - the foaming freaked me out the most. Clavamox is pretty standard anti-biotic but she could a) be allergic or b) not have enough food in her tummy to keep it down. Just things to think about for you...I hope if it's allergy they can give her so

that's what happens when my dd (dear dog ;p ) jumps on the keyboard while I'm typing...as I was SAYING...

hopefully they can give her something she can tolerate. I swear dogs are so much easier than cats when it comes to this. If I could hide an arm chair in a piece of cheese, my dog would eat it.

I'm off to swap laudry out...my poor gf is sick as a dog (say; "thank you Bonnie") so I'm trying to get all the household stuff done before the playoff game starts....

Felicia - I hope we're still friends when it's all over Wink

Ya, pilling my dog is as easy as dropping the pill into an abyss.  Except Novolexin 'cause they stink.

Yeah, the antibiotics are to ward off an infection, but I'm just going to wait till monday morning and call them.  She eats, a little at a time, as many kitties do.  So, I'm not sure if she had eating before that first dose or not. And yes, dogs are so much easier.  Had one that had thyroid meds, and I'd had old jar I put peanut butter in and she had her own plastic spoon for dipping a little peanut butter so the pill would stick and then she licked them both off.  She looked forward to each morning.  Worked grreat for the other dogs heart meds too.  If only this kitty liked peanut butter.  She rarely eats any human food.  Although she will go after white bread, and or salty chips to lick if given the chance.

Hide it in peanut butter, works great for it. Just enough to cover the sticky pill and hide the smell, and they'll lap it off the spoon! :D

LOLOL, I'm afraid the sulfer smell is just too powerful and the Novolexin pills would choke a horse.  He eats the peanut butter and patooie.......spits out the pills.  But still easier than getting anything down a cat's throat.

Bummer...always worked for my girls :)  Had to pretend it was a treat, but they ate them fine.Otherwise, old betsy....well, let's just say, I'd find pills behind the couch, in the cushions, or even in her water bowl! She had a set a jowls that could hide a table setting :)

Wow, had I known it was so easy to come back here after being permanently banned I would have done it 9 months ago!  Felicia, where were you when all this was happening to me? I could have used this kind of support! As you said Felicia, "It seems little cliques troll around and hit the button the second someone on their "it" list posts something they don't like - or in some cases - posts anything at all." That is Exactly what happened to me!  I even left not only the thread where the troublemakers were but the entire forum and hung out in another place but they followed me there and reported anything and everything I posted .. including just saying hello and one post where I was supporting a dying sister.    As far as ignoring, I did that.  Those who were hounding me made a huge fuss on the boards about being ignored and questioned how could a sister do that to another.  Seems you can't win for losing sometimes.
I was the first victim of the abused "removed by the community" feature which at the time only needed 3 posters to remove a post. Although it's against the rules to report posts unjustly, that rule wasn't being enforced.  The moderators kept reinstating my posts that weren't justified to be removed but only gave a hand slap, if anything, to those reporting them. Scary what some people with power will do and when the clique trolling after me discovered that power they had it was the end of the road for me.  Even though the mods kept reinstating me after the troublemakers got me temporarily banned, eventually the software counted the number of times I was banned and made it permanent, even though I was reinstated and those bannings shouldn't have counted!
When I was banned some friends tried to discuss having me reinstated but those posts also were "removed by the community".
The moderators even said that those who are permanently banned aren't even allowed to have their Names mentioned and deleted posts that did so! Has that rule changed or does it only apply to some, as many of the rules here seem to?
I was only 7 months into my journey when the trouble started. My "problem" was that I was good friends with somebody the troublemakers didn't like.  They would say nasty and untruthful things about her and when I would defend her they would gang up on me.  How dare I not just take their word for everything they said, nobody Ever stood up to them before!  It was ridiculous. Very elementary school behavior was going on.  It added so much more stress and sadness to what is already a hard enough journey, particularly the first year when undergoing treatments and still trying to wrap your head around having such a hideous disease.  Unfortunately I was a newbie and hadn't established myself around the boards enough to get the kind of support that someone who has been around for years has.  Most people don't "know" me.  It's been tough going through some things these last 9 months without the support of this board.  I still have 2 months until my 2 year anniversary.  Some people need this board for the wonderful friendships they make, while others need it for that as well as still being in the early part of their journey and needing much needed support and to have questions answered.  It should be available to All and one should be able to ignore those that they find disagreeable.
I won't rest until I am assured that what happened to me doesn't happen to another breast cancer survivor on this board.
Anyway, I'm happy to be back!  But if this post doesn't get removed by the "community" I will be shocked! If not, thank you for letting me have my say for a change.
btw, those of you getting on BikerJan for her post to Felicia don't even Know her and what she said shouldn't have elicited some of the harsh comments I'm seeing about her.  She has as much right as everyone else here does to "chime in".  People would do well to remember also that some of the PM's flying around behind the scenes only tell one side of the story.  Don't be so quick to judge things that you may not really know everything about.

A Huge THAT SUX for those suffering IOS's today!

Hello everyone.   I am marking my spot with no particular IOS or SOI to report.  When I was getting weekly Taxol and Herceptin, I had minimal aches.  Now that I have had 2 of the Herceptin only, every 3 weeks, I am much more achy and stiff and the neuropathy in my fingers is constant.  The good part is only the ring and little finger are affected, so far.

An old saying comes to mind as I read about people being banned and inappropriate behavior, or what someone perceives as inappropriate:

You can please some of the people some of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but not ALL of the people ALL of the time...

Wish - You're right about those kitties sprouting 8 lethal feet when trying to give them meds!!  Ye Gods, we need 8 strong arms just to hold them down.  I do sometimes get a small portion of the meds down mine when I grab (and I do mean grab) them by the back of the neck and cram the dropper into any small crevice that opens between the fangs!

Anyone who thinks the furs will eat a pill hidden in any treat, has never had my kitties!!  Although,I did have an obviously brain damaged gorgeous blonde boy called Claude that didn't seem to notice that the balls of hamburger sometimes had something crunchy in them.

He was such a love, but he was a sandwich short of a picnic.  Would sit outside in the rain, looking up at the sky with his mouth open, as if he couldn't figure out what was happening.  I'd have to bring him in before he drowned (like turkeys do, I'm told).

    Good luck with Medusa

I don't know how to say this without saying preachy, but I really believe that if you neither defend or attack another poster, and refuse to respond to (even to defend) a post that does, then it will go away faster. I understand, and admire, the impulse to explain your actions or defend your friends, but in this case, it seems to just add fuel to the fire.

My IOS for the day - it's now day 7 of my headache, although the SOI wrapped up in that is that it does seem to be subsiding with the help of round the clock Tylenol Sinus.

A big that sux, and happy football watching, to all! (btw, Giant's fan here, but my offspring is a Pat's fan - woo hoo!)

Bonnie, I was out shoveling (H2B is out of town) and missed all but the last minute of the first half. The Giants are now up by one. It's on like Donkey Kong - and I will still love you when it is over, no matter the outcome...

If anyone can figure out how to get a pill of any kind into a cat, please patent it. You'll be an instant millionaire for sure...

Cat Piller, wouldn't that be nice to have?  I'd PAY someone to come and do it, easily!  She was still upchucking a bit this morning, so I am NOT doing the meds.  IF it were infected already I'd ask my neighbor over to help, but ....I'll wait till morning

CMB...sorry about that headache...sinus are the worse. Have you tried alka selser sinus?  WORKS almost instantly on those.

BIG that SuX for those who are dealing with IOS's :(  Jane, hope you are getting relief today! Some gentle {{hugs}} and added prayers for all.

Felicia - it was a nail biter! Right now it seems like my boys are on a roll...I'm crossing my finers (and toes, and eyes) we all know the Eagles can blow it in the last quarter as well as the Giants can come back!

cmb - point well made, and well taken...I will try to use this philosophy in the future!

Angel - I'm sorry you had to be the target of an assault like that. Stress like that, here, with what you were already going though - sux! I didn't really understand the whole "community" removing a post, but after reading yours I think I get how that happens. I hope you are able to stay on and enjoy the support and humor that we should all be able to get here!

FELICIA...WTF was that move by your boys?? It looks like he just handed the ball over to us? So, so sorry darlin...never fails. Anytime our boys meet in the playoffs, one team or the other just falls apart! I fell bad for you, but I feel oh so good for me! Especially after the arse whooping my Flyers took the other night against the Caps! (thanks for not rubbing that in LadySuz)

Hope you all are enjoying your Sunday - Traci, it hasn't gone un-noticed that you've been absent this weekend Wink

Still no word on my son but I anxiously await daily for news of his arrivial.  Now the biggest struggle is to get his wife to let me take one of the boys to see him on his return home!!!!

Have you talked to her about it yet LuAnn?  Or perhaps when you know he's coming, just ask for them at that point? How is the communnication going for you with her now that she's been gone while an doesn't have you to watch the boys when she goes out?  Who does she leave them then?

I just got off the phone with her and someone told her that if I took him to my son he could keep him and that custody agreements don't matter across state lines.  I assured her I would bring her child back and that the army would not let him take the kids away without a valid agreement and no family care plan in place.  She is going to talk to her dad and I probably won't end up getting the but I'll keep trying!  Keep your fingers crossed, as for communication I talk with her and try to keep it positive for the kids sake but I'm angry as crap at her!

Oh my goodness LuAnn, what a nightmare. I hope she is able to see that the best thing for her boys is for them to have a good relationship with both of their parents, and that if she keeps them from their father that she is hurting them, and they will resent her for it one day. I will never understand what drives people to act the way they do!

Yikes! The Giants (or "G'ints" as my grandmother called them) were a disaster today. Oh well...

{{LuAnn}} I was afraid of that.  It always happens that someone starts feeding one side or the other what they should do, lest they end up with the same problems the 'friend' has/had.  The big problem is, IF both parents would consider what IS best for the kids, this crap wouldn't happen.  I was amazed at how great my brother and his ex worked out their kids lives.  When small, they spent one week with mom and one with dad.  As they grew, and school was a problem with different sides of town, that changed, but there were never FIGHTS about the time spent with the kids.  Good Lord, don't these people remember WHY they were together?  Best thing my sister ever did when she found out her dh was playing around, was to ask that we support her and her decision to stay with him and fight for their marriage. We did just that.  Unfortunately,or fortunately, they split and she now has built a home with a man who has been the best for her in th long run.  They've been together for 8 years...i'm running on...anyway....I hope they (your son and dil) can work this out for the kids sake as far as custody and visitation.  just remember to ask for your visitation rights ifthere is a divorce.  I know here, it's a separate issue.  Good luck..
