Nicki often brought a chuckle to our group and it's too bad she can't join us. We all need someone in our lives who can make us laugh, or roll on the floor with laughter, and Nicki could do that with one pic so easily! I have NO idea where she got them, but always enjoyed it! 0 -

Okay then...back to theIOS's and SOI's at hand, right?
IOS...still no path back on kitty but I did have to take her back this morning before work. they're only open till noon, so as she lay sleeping peacefully, I passed by, threw a towel over and quickly tried to get into her box for transport. I have to say that even with the towel around her, she still managed a fight at the box! UGH Hated to do it, but I had to find out If the incision was infected, starting oozing light pink fluid last night. Much as her name implies (Lucy is short for Lucifer and yes, b/c she can be the devil cat, cat from H*ll-o and many other names) anyway.....she is perfect at the vets, just not at home. So we get there, and I walk in to a lobby with 5dogs waiting their turn, and one in the exam room, literally howling like banshee! Thought he was hurt, although the techs all said it was only a protest and he wasn't. meanwhile, Lucy had made herself nearly invisible within th box, by hiding underneath. i think her hope was, we'd treat the white towel and not her
Poor girl. It not infected, but antibiotics are to be given 2X a day....I should tell you this cat has been described by those in my family as one of those down under creatures whose name eludes me. So...we are back home and vet says we should definitely have the results by Monday. I hope :9SOI! Only a 1/2 day of work and neither the hips/thighs or back are spasming tonight! Yeah!!!!!!!!

When I first started posting & chatting on the internet I learned immediately that the virtual world is just like the real one: peopled by all kinds. I will never cease to be amazed by ppl who never grow up! I guess the fact that some ppl have NO life or lack of control over their world might explain why they have to exercise whatever little powers they can find--even if it's only on a silly internet site........
There are things sadder than bc; like ppl who don't have any honor; lie to everyone (including themselves) about everything including who they really are; can't connect with others & are unhappy in every aspect of their being. I have met them in the real & the cyber world. I truly feel sorry for them. I pray that they find enlightenment & peace; that the rest of us be given patience & compassion in the face of it all.......

My dd bought me a rubber for christmas! A rubber keyboard that is. Weird thing. It rolls up to a 4inch circle when not in use. The kitty can no longer disconnect me from the wide--web, no can my spilled or spillled or splashed drinks! Yeah....but..it's hard to type on...so not sure if I'll continue with it. The idea was fine, the factors...not so conducive to typing...dh hates it, as he can't tell I'm busy typing any more from his chair and interrupts 0 -

WTH is going on? I assume that 'clara' was/is nikki? Hey - get your butt back here! All I can say to people out in the virtual world is "lose the hate". That's becoming my new mantra. There's all kinds of stuff out there and all kinds of people and I find it far easier to ignore than react. Felicia - I read your posting on the comments discussion and I totally agree. I have to say that I haven't been here long enough to understand everything that's going on, so if it isn't intuitively obvious to the casual observer, it isn't worth the effort. Ugh.
Diane - What great news. There's a special place in heaven for the person who pulled the strings that got you in with Legal Aid and with the LA person in finding a way for you. My SIL went through the worker retraining thing after a big layoff - her suggestion is to push, push, push. There were a lot of people applying and the ones that got in were the ones that didn't take no for an answer. No shrinking violets allowed!
SOI - I went to a retirement party last night. A co-worker retiring after 42 years. THe nicest, sweetest lady you could ever know. Well, her family was there - 3 daughters, son-in-law, SO, grandkids - and one of her daughters pulls up this laptop and says that there is a special message from Barb's son-in-law who's serving in the Army Nat'l Guard in Iraq. Special video call. There wasn't a dry eye in the place. LuAnn - I immediately thought of your son & hope and pray that he is packing his bags and will be on your doorstep toute suite!
This morning a friend and I started a marathon - ok, half-marathon - training program. We did our first 2 mile pacing run, and then we have weekly training sessions (with homework!) til June 29 when we run the big one. You know, you can do weights twice a week, go on the elliptical 3 days, walk to the gym, but one stinking short run CAN KNOCK YOU OFF YOUR LEGS. Man, they are tight and sore. But, we weren't the last ones in.
Wish - hope Lucy is ok.

What was done to nicki is a common occurrence.
A group of women who were permanently banned from BCo have decided that they need to get revenge on the women they think "did them wrong"
One of them posted a cryptic message here earlier crying innocence.
It is all because they believe they were unjustly banned. They weren't. They posted horrible and hateful posts to the women here and even to the moderators. One of them claims she was has had the worst cancer experience than any other woman on earth, she never did chemo, but still, no one suffers like she does.
She has several names here. Posts all over. She has a beef with Nicki so she uses her names and her other evil friends to "report" all of Nicki's posts.
It is so freaking childish.
Nicki needs to be here. All she does is give to people. She is a kind person who helps others.
But this little lonely clique spends their days watching everything she does and tries their best to hurt a good member here.
I am writing to the moderators to ask them to give Nicki full posting rights again because she is MISSED!

I'm pretty new here, too, but I liked Nikki. She never posted anything offensive to me. Even when I have been offended by someone's post, I just ignore it. Life is REALLY too short to p!ss it away with stuff like that.
I know a lot of you are farther along in treatment than I am, so maybe you can help me. I've been dealing with awful pain from my last Taxol treatment for the past 3 days. I only have 1 more dose dense Taxol to go before I start radiation. Will the pain stop once I get to radiation? All I want is one day when nothing hurts, oozes, or falls out. I'm beginning to feel like a wimp. I don't want to complain because who wants to hear it? This does end eventually, doesn't it?

Welcome & hugs Jane--that sux! You are in the place to vent or complain----let it out! We're here to listen & not judge-----ppl here will try to help whenever they can. Sometimes we just need to let it out & this is where to do it! You have good reason to complain!
In answer to your question--I have not done Taxol--but I have done 5 other chemos & if your pain is due to the chemo it WILL stop when the chemo is out of your system. Meanwhile drink LOTS of water during tx--it dilutes & flushes your system & will help lessen se's!

I guess it's true--I feel sheltered when I'm on these boards, but it's really no different from being in a large city. Nice people, nasty people, Good Samaritans, thieves...

Jane, when I was doing Taxol during my original dx....it was the first time I had to call onc on the weekend. The pain from taxol was awful. I promise it will go away. Just one more tx??? WTG!!! Ask onc for something stronger for the pain. At first he told me to take advil...that didn't even touch it. You will be done with it before you know it, Jane. It still sucks.

Pam, chewing noises, your post made me chuckle. My dh is a wonderful man BUT the noises he makes while eating just about drive me batty. And now his jaw clicks which adds to the medley of sounds. As for your co-worker, get some Double Bubble gum and start snapping.

I'm not exactly sure what happened to Nikki but banning women with breast cancer from this website is cruel - it is beyond cruel. We are sisters. For those of you who are banning one of us please act like it.
Wishiwere - so glad Lucy is doing better. Anxious to hear path report on Monday. I had a cat like that - I told my vet if he ever needed medicine, he was going to die because I was putting my hands anywhere near his mouth.

Well, BIG THAT SUX To those who needed it. Clarasgirl...howdy doody!
Last night the Lucy goose started hacking up some weird stuff. Looked like black stuff among some greenish-yellow bile. This morning it's foamy....Not sure what that is,butI'm thinking it's an allergy maybe to the antibiotic? I'm just not able to give her to by myself..she has 8 sharp feet it seems coming from all directions when I try to scruff her and force this stuff down
I think we need to rename her after this session to Medusa...wasn't she the mythical with 8 snakes around her head or 8 arms, or some such thing? Simply beyond my abilities to get this stuff down here.0 -
How does the vet get a pill into her? And what colour are the pills? Is that what she hacked up? Is she eating ok? Greenish yellow sounds a bit odd. Thank goodness tomorrow is almost here. Hang in there. I remember I had to pill a rabbit one time. Now THAT was interesting.
