Saint- it is as if I am talking! My dh is very much the same, very sweet and won't say no if I ask about spending$---it worries me because I am pretty sure some of those $ would be better spent else where. He has also taken on a lot of the household stuff since dx (laundry, shopping, getting dd up in the morning and he is sooo not a morning person) just so I don't have to anything expect work on healing and feeling better! Guess this is an SOI..he really is sweet and so caring. Next week we are going to Florida w/friends and I am most happy that he has nothing to do except play golf, watch football, sit on the beach in the hot tub. He really needs the rest, he might let me baby him for a bit.

Hi, everybody!!! I miss you all! Was in bed for three days with the bug. Turned into a sort of mini-flu. Will need to catch up later with everyone's details. Chloe's okay but we still don't know what's up with her. Having US next week for her. Wish, how's your kitty? Despite all that, I did finally start my "real" blog (the kind with the cycling posts, auto comments, widgets, etc.,etc.) which has been a challenge. Calling it www.accidentalamazon.com. Do have a look when you get a chance. Needs work.
Will catch up soon. Work is exhausting. The weather has totally SUCKED around here. Had to visit a patient today whose stairs to her back door were completely coated in ice!!!!! Have good traction on my Merrill boots, so got up & down okay, but awful out & the driving sucked, too.

Long day and I've taken one muscle relaxer for tonight and may add another as these hips/thighs just don't agree with me being on my feet 8 hours, but the job went very well today...
As for Lucy....Well, it's not good news, but really no news as yet
He said her blood test were good but be/c of her age, they used the reversible or some such thing anesthetic that brings them out of it sooner, so she is doing relatively well. Other than she's looks beat, she's eating, peeing and such, but little bit hisses at her when she is in the room for some reason? I can't figure out why....they've never hissed at one another before.
Anyway..when the vet shaved her hair, he could see the artery pulsing over top of this mass, (the carotid) so he didn't do the needle aspiration, but did a one and 1/4 inch incision and had a hard time moving it around to see anything. HE did get a piece of it and it bled quite a bit too. I'm just so sad....here's money spent hoping it was something fixable and now i'm really dreading the pathology of it Not looking good I'll write more when we hear (hopefully friday he said.
Thanks everyone..taking a muscle relaxer and going to hit the hay soon as my legs are cramping horribly from standing all day. Job went very well. the only bright spot in the day.

I know it doesn't matter how many times other people tell us it's in our heads, or we tell ourselves it's in our heads, it's still in our heads! Here's what I think though - I've never met you, never seen a picture of you even, and it's extremely obvious to me that you are beautiful. Extremely obvious.
I'm thinking this man isn't stupid, and probably has at least a vague notion that major breast surgery just might result in some funky looking boobs. And while I probably have a different perspective on it (I was the girl the 8th grade boys nicknamed "the Great Plains" because I was flat as pancake), I do get the scars etc. issue part of it.
Here's what happened when I stopped worrying about it, and stopped dreading it, and stopped thinking all my cancer crap in general would drive him away (with a new guy who just might become a permanent new guy btw, but that's another story!), it was GREAT! Seriously woo hoo great.
So, I know it's annoying when people tell you not to worry about something that you're worried about. But try to think of it like an episode of What Not to Wear. The person always ends up looking, and feeling fantastic. And the issue they were so worried about? Forgotten!
So, now that I've solved all your problems with crappy reality TV references, my job here is done, and I can go back to trying to revise the Transfer of Assets moudule.

MY IOS...yes, yes, I have one - they cancelled my surgery. I started puking Tuesday night and when I got up on Wednesday I had a crushing headache and I was still puking. Spent the day at ER only to find out what I already know.,..I have a fatty liver and bad SE's to the Herceptin. So, I have to stop Herceptin until I can reschedule and have my surgery, then start it back up weekly instead of every 3 weeks. Not a happy camper at this point. Ready to say f all of it...I'll take my chances...ok, not really - but in a pouty moment I feel like saying it!
BTW...someone (wish?) asked if I'd ever been tested for hemochromotosis or something like that? - no, but I'll be asking the question when I have the GI consult because I looked it up and it seems pretty close to what I've got going on...
off to avoid dp some more - there's a grouch in my house and it AINT me!

I offerred to pick her and her g/f up at the airport and take her to her moms. Too bad the flight gets in at 11:45 am on Sunday. PLAYOFF Sunday...I might miss my own Eagles playoff game!!!!! I am SUCH a bad friend for even caring. I of course will still pick them up and go visit with them and mom for the afternoon but GOSH DARN IT!

LOL! You guys are a riot! For everyone's crappy IOSs, here's a big "THAT SUCKS!"
I have what I think will be a HUGE SOI if it works out. We talked to a legal aid attorney and she really put our minds and hearts at ease about all the mess that's going on. She ended up putting us in touch with the *RIGHT* people to help us. One thing on the table is a displaced worker program that offers a zero-interest, 15 year, deferred loan for up to two years of mortgage payments along with more schooling for dh. That, of course, would feel like winning the lottery! The rep sounded pretty positive about it, but I've been afraid to tell people because I'm afraid I'll jinx it. LOL! Then, I got an email asking how things are going last night and I pretty much burst and spilled the beans. Poor KAK, she didn't know she was going to get a novel in response to a simple question. Luann understands about that, too! For future reference: if you are looking for the short version, try to avoid Thursday evenings after I've had steroids and chemo! LOL If the displaced worker thing doesn't pan out, they've said that there are LOTS of other options for us and not to worry about it. WHEW! It just burns me up that we had to get the runaround from so many places first.
Really sucky IOS: got a visit last night from the granddaughter of a friend (Phyllis) from church telling us she had passed away. Phyllis had recently had knee surgery after a fall and the doctors think perhaps she threw a clot. She was such a sweet lady! Her husband passed 14 months ago and she was still grieving so hard. They had been married near 50 years. The family is in shock; one of her daughters discovered her and it's been especially hard on her. If you're the praying type, please remember them in your prayers!
