Hi All - been away from this thread recently but like Debbi I will dust myself off and get back to God's business
Debbi5108 - a few days ago I was in the same spot. My faith was rocked, I mean rocked bigtime, for the very first time since I came to know the Lord. And satan attacked where he knows it will get to us easiest, our kids. My son who has been through so much his 25 years was just hurt again by 'people' and I just lost it because it just seems so unfair. He too was raised in the church but has turned his back on it because life just seems to always go against him. My frustration had me in tears and I knew I was close to turning away but I also knew to whom I belonged and I had to keep reminding myself that God is Able! Actually, I think what scared me most was that my faith was rocked so violently. I think I always believed that it couldn't happen to me - HA!
To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You. -- Psalm 25:1-2
Thanks all my sisters for standing on that rock along with me. Down here we must support one another.

Hugs and prayers ladies. Keep strong in faith, tough times don't last but tough people do. Always here with a shoulder to lean on when things are tough. As we always help and support our sisters.

Life is tough and we have a lot to learn. In the past my faith has been shaken to it's roots. But, the good thing about that was that working through all those feelings was a very growing experience. My faith was transformed. My belief system somewhat changed. I came through the tough times knowing that bad things do happen to good people. I also learned that I cannot control the journey that I am on. Oh, there are some things I can control but I can not control them all. I have learned to be at peace with this. What I can control is how I react to the things that come my way on this life journey. The Prayer of serenity has meant so much to me and it is that prayer that has sustained me in life and especially in this little fork in the road called cancer.
God grant me the peace of mind to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things that I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Oh My You said it and I mean the exact way I tried to, I never thought my Faith would waiver and when it did Wow!!!! I was more scared than I had ever been and you are so right the quickest way to get to me is through my kids. Thank You for your kind words and all the prayers you ladies are truly Gods angels and let me tell you I needed each and every one of you and still do and I thank my wonderful God for each one of you and for his love. I will not let Satan win as I would rather die than let him win!!!!!!

tired of fighting, We know you are carrying us. Help our minds to remember

Dear Lord
We cannot predict tomorrow. We cannot fully prepare for all contingencies nor fully provide for all our needs today or tomorrow. Only you can do that and you already have. You are never caught off-guard nor taken by surprise. You never come up short so we do not have to live with anxiety about the future. We will always praise your wonders and faithfulness dear Christ Jesus and leave it all in your loving hands.

Lord, sending prayers again for all my sisters (and any brothers) that are in need of the peace that only you can provide. Please touch each and every one of them in a way so they feel and know your majesty. Help them to be comfortable knowing you are in control so they can let go of those things over which they have no control. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, so many prayers are going up and I add mine that we will see a breakthrough in this disease that affects the lives of so many. Lord, we don't and won't ever have all the answers but I ask that you continue to give us your peace as we fight the good fight.
The road we're on is twisted Lord, it's end defies our view. Teach us to take each step in faith and leave the rest to you.

Are You afraid? Of course you are. Give yourself permission
to be human. Fear is understandable. Just don't forget that
Jesus is in the boat with you. You are not alone. The voyage
will continue, the waters around you will be made calm.
Your reason for hope comes from believing that;
* Others have survived the form of cancer you have. Perhaps
you will survive too.
* Cancer is both controllable and curable. There is no reason
to believe that yours cannot be controlled or cured.
* Miracles happen. If you need one, perhaps you will experience
a miracle, too.
*Fear is a normal response. But you can move beyond fear to trust
in God's love for you.
* Spiritual renewal is real. Use this time to (re)connect with
God through prayer, Bible reading, and honest discussions
with other Christians.
Cancer treatment centers do not have to be depressing,
gloomy places. There are excellent cancer treatment centers
that minister to the whole person.
