Being yoked with Christ results in rest for your soul.  Life's pressures may not lessen, but if you are intimately linked with Jesus, your soul is free from churning anxiety, and His peace is ruling in your heart. Jump into His yoke.  You have nothing to lose - except your weariness - and much to gain.  (from Dr Charles Stanley's devotional today in his In Touch magazine)

Dear Lord, my prayer is for all my bco sisters to hitch up with your yoke and enjoy the awesome ride that only you can give.  Enable us all to follow you down that narrow path that many can see but few choose to follow.  Force us to become stronger, braver, more resilient than ever we expected and to rely on you alone in deeper ways and to know that that will not be a bad thing - to rest in you.

    Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, Please help us to say hopeful by

keeping us surrounded by hopeful people. Bring us, calm

to ecah of our raging storms. Help us to put our trust not

only in the doctors, nurses and nutritonist, But in You and

You alone. Use them, we pray, as conduits of Your grace, and

bring us the healing we know You will bring us if You so desire.

We offer our humble prayer in the name of the Great Physician,

    Jesus Christ. Amen

    Have I not commanded you?

Be strong and of good courage; nor

be dismayed, for the Lord your God

is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

You, beloved, building yourselves up on

your most holy faith, Praying in the holy

Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God,

Looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus

Christ unto eternal life. Jude 20-21

I thank you Lord for my sisters on this board who keep me motivated to live for you.  I pray that You will continue to bless each and every one with the richness of your love.  Have patience with your children, dear Lord Jesus, as we follow that narrow road, not veering to the right nor the left but keeping our eyes on the prize, eternity with our Father.  Lord please place a healing touch on each and every one, energizing them to continue this walk.  You never said it would be easy Lord but with you all things are possible so I claim victory for us.

You are an awesome God and we praise your very name, Jesus.

    Amen.

I heard a song on the radio this afternoon.  I think Brad Paisley was singing it.  It was called no.  Lord, I need to remember that you ALWAYS answer prayer.  However, sometime the answer is yes, sometimes the answer is no, and sometimes the answer is not now.  Allow me, Lord, the patience and grace to accept Your will.

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,

    Sing His mercy and His grace;

In the mansions bright and blessed,

He prepare for us a place.

While we walk the pilgrim pathway,

    Clouds will overspread the sky;

But when trav' ling days are over,

Not a shadow, nor a sigh.

When we all get to heaven,

What a day of rejoicing that will be!

    When we all see Jesus,

    We'll sing the victory.

I absolutely love the songs.  They speak to my heart and touch my soul.

I have a blog on  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/debbiehancock.  I have used many songs on there, as well as scriptures and prayers, when I was up or down through this journey. Songs are able to express what I feel, because even though I may say a lot, I mostly ramble.  Songs get right to the point.  They can bring tears of cleansing and tears of joy.

    Helping Hands

Beneath supporting hands of friends and helpers

we feel God's strong grasp and hold on, No longer

    alone.

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way

you will fulfill the laws of Christ. Galatians 6:2 NIV

Listening is a greater service then speaking.

This is one of my favorite "pre-written" prayers.  It is even set to music and was sung by Sinead O'Connor for Princess Di's funeral.  I purchased the sheet music and gave it to my Pastor's daughter.  I want her to play it at my funeral (she's young so it can be a long time from now)

Dear Lord, I continue to send up prayers and thank you for all my sisters that you have placed here in my path and in the path of others.  Such a supportive site is just what we need to take us through this walk.  You are the rock of our foundation and to you we turn forever for we know from where comes our strength.

Please place your healing touch upon Jordon and Bette dear Father, waking Jordon and helping Bette withstand her new dx.

    In Jesus name I pray,

    Amen

even threw the darkness walk with our life, We are never alone.

Miracles happen all the time, not to everyone. But Lord help us

to see that we should always keep our window of hope open to You,

So that we don't pass by the miracle You intend for us. Please bless

all your faithful people in their face of pain, suffering, nausea and concern.

We will praise You by allowing our light to shine for You, Til we meet you

in heaven and know we suffer no more.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen

One of many songs I like is Praise You in This Storm by Casting Crowns.  I found a video on YouTube by a lady who has had cancer.  She is doing this in sign language.  Hopefully, you can view it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVJRfWScfl4&feature=related

    Praise You in This Storm
words by Mark Hall/music by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms

I was sure by now,God, that You would have reached down
    and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
    and it's still raining
    as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
    "I'm with you"
    and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

    Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
    no matter where I am

    and every tear I've cried
    You hold in your hand
    You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
    and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
    if I can't find You
    and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
    "I'm with you"
    and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away

    Chorus

I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth

    Chorus

Dear Heavenly Father:  Thank You for today.  Please be with all our sisters and our different needs on this thread.  I ask that You be with the unbelievers, touch their hearts so they know that it is through Your strength we can face our thorns.  Lord, I thank You for all the prayers given with their heartfelt and eloquent words.  Thank You for the sharing of faith.  Please be with those with unspoken prayers that read this thread.  Please let them know we are praying for everyone.  I ask for this in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus.  Amen
