Genia - YAY!  We serve an awesome God.  We may not know when or how, but we know He will!

Estepp - continuing to hold your mom up.  We know prayer works.  No doubt about it.

Lord, for all my BC.o sisters, I continue to pray for their strength that comes only from you.   We know that all need your loving touch but at this time I especially ask that you smile down upon those on a special list who are struggling and afraid.  Reach down your hand, dear Lord Jesus, and I pray they will look  heavenward to find peace and solace in you.

    In your precious name, Amen

    Genia, that is awesome news.

    Prayers to all.

Today is the 32nd anniversary of my mom's death from ovarian cancer. She was only 29, and yet a remarkable woman.

may the Lord be with you all and God Bless you.

Lord, You helped me fight  spiritual battles on a daily basis by

claiming Your powerful Word. When I was tired and couldn't

think I could go another hour, You brought to my mind, "The

joy of the Lord is my strength"(Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV) When

I was tempted to be careless in words and action, You helped

me recall, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all

your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind" (Luke

10:27 NKJV) When my patience was tired, I remembered," Love

your neighbor as yourself"(Luke 10:27 NIV) When dangerous

people appeared, I whispered, " The angel of the Lord encamps

all around those who fear Him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7 NKJV)

When I walked through the valley of discouragement, You remind

me,"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

    (Psalm 119:105 NKJV)

Thank You, Father, for Your Protecting Word. Amen

The way of life winds upwards for the wise - Proverbs 15:24

Earthly wisdom is limited.  It generally is based upon the best that collective humanity has been able to conclude or to decipher... God's wisdom, in contrast, is ulimited.  It is based upon what God sees when He looks to ages past and ahead to ages still to come.  It is based upon the whole of any given life or situation.  Godly wisdom says, "This is the way I made man to act, respond and succeed."  Godly wisdom concludes, "This is what God wants."  If we want to be wise, we must choose to see things from God's perspective" - Charles Stanley devotional 8/7/09

Our minds are so finite; His is all-knowing.   Choose to follow Him.

    Amen

Lord, You are everything to me. Thank You that I can walk

each moment with you and not have to figure life out on my

own. And when I come to a dark time, I can put my hand in

Yours and depend on You as we walk through together. I

Know that "the upright shall dwell in Your presence" (Psalm

140:13), and that's where I want to live. For in Your presence

I will find healing, deliverance, love, peace, joy, and hope. Lord,

help me to embrace the moments of my life that are hard to get

my arms around. Enable my eyes to see You in them. Help me

to always acknowledge the abundance of Your goodness to me.

I lift to You the deepest struggles in my life. I trust You to open

my eyes to see all You have for me in them. Reveal to me the

fullness of it all. Thank You that I can be filled with the joy of

Your presence in every step I take, because You have given me

the light I need. In Your name I pray. Amen

Dear Lord, replace all of our pessimism with optimism, fearfulness

with hopefulness. As Jesus healed the man with the withered hand,

Heal any withered attitude and fill us with hope, as well desire to

meet You in the midst of pain and worry. We pray, as conduits of

Your grace, and bring us healing we know You will bring us if You

so desire. We offer this humble pray in Your name of the Great

    Physician, Jesus Christ. Amen

You feel helpless. What you are facing now seems

so much bigger than you, and you don't think you

can do anything at all. You are looking for a Superman

to come and save the day,

The truth is, there are some things you can't handle

alone. But no man---super or not will be able to help

you. No there are some things that won't be subdued

by mere mortal hands. When you are confronted by

such a situation, call on God. He will come to your

aid, He will lift you up, He is your superhero.

Lord, I am never helpless because I always have the

power to call on You,my Lord. I will never despair for

I know that all I have to do is call and You are there. Amen

In Your hands we leave all the people that are overwhelmed with

their faith in You and see the peace again. Amen

Peace In The Midst Of The Storm

When the world that I've been living in collapses at my feet
When my life is shattered and torn
Though I'm windswept and battered, I can cling to His cross
And find peace in the midst of the storm

There is peace in the midst of my storm-tossed life
Oh, there's an anchor, there's a rock to cast my faith upon
Jesus rides in my vessel, so I'll fear no alarm
He gives me peace in the midst of my storm

When in twenty-four short hours, years of living are brought to moments
And when life's final picture is taking form
In the dark room of my suff'ring there's a light comes shining through! (shining through)
He gives me peace in the midst of my storm

For there is wonderful peace in the midst of my storm-tossed life
Oh, there's an anchor, there's a rock to cast my faith upon
Jesus rides in my vessel, so I'll fear no alarm
He gives me peace in the midst, perfect peace in the midst
Peace in the midst of my storm, peace in the storm

Love this song....and the words really hit home with me!

hugs and blessings to you all

God is in the middle of doing something

great for us and, because we are not as

comfortable as we'd like to be, we don't

recognize the good things He has put

that her surgery will be easy and She will start the healing process.

Be with the nurses and all that help her threw this surgery. Help her to

not receive bad news , but rather as one piece of information afloat on a river of facts                   flowing into a hopeful future. By the power of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within her.

Focus her mind  upon victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

There is a song I hear on the Christian radio station that reminds me of where I need to go when things get tough.... chorus is like this:

    I will lift my eyes..to the maker...of the mountains I can't climb....

I will lift my eyes...to the healer...of the hurt I hold inside....

I will lift my eyes...to the calmer,,,of the oceans raging wild....

I will lift my eyes...lift my eyes...to you....

    Hugs and love..be strong....
