    Hello Sisters

    I just wanted to update you on Jordan (young man that has head injuries from 4-wheeler accident)

    Tomorrow he is being moved to a rehabilitation facility.  Could be in another state so that will be very hard on his parents.  Please pray that through God's hands that the people working with Jordan at the rehab facility will be able to work miracles with his recovery.  I just know God has great plans for Jordan but we all know that God can work his plans through us even if our minds and bodies are not perfect.  But I do keep praying for a full recovery.  Also for his family and friends I pray for their strength and comfort through this journey with their son and friend.

    God is so Good

    Thank you Jesus

    Hi, All.  I'm Genia's friend - not a stranger to this thread, but I hate asking for prayer for myself.  I have a 1.5 cm mass under my left arm.  Radiology report recommends PET scan or biopsy to rule out/confirm Mets or recurrence.  I was supposed to see Onc on Friday, but I called the nurse this morning to see if he still wanted to see me or if he just wanted to schedule the PET scan.  Waiting to hear back.  Pray that His Will be done and that, whatever happens, I bring glory and honor to His name.

    Ladies so today was the first day back at school for my boys and they go to a Catholic School. It was a beautiful day and I took my youngest son for his first day of Kindergarten. Thank you Lord for this wonderful opportunity.

    What I wanted to share is that we prayed the rosary on campus today for all the little ones and their new year and we had the most beautiful prayer to open and it immediately made me think of all of you wonderful gals.

    The Power of Prayer

    The day was long, the burden I had borne seemed heavier than I could longer bear, And then it lifted - but I did not know Some one had knelt in prayer; Had taken me to God that very hour, And asked the easing of the load, and He, In infinite compassion, had stooped down And taken it from me.

    We cannot tell how often as we pray For some bewildered one, hurt and distressed, The answer comes, but many times those hearts Find sudden peace and rest.

    Some one had prayed, and Faith a reaching hand, Took hold of God, and brought Him Down that day!

    So many, many hearts have need of prayer:

    Oh, let us pray!

    I've been having pain in my left arm pit (axillary) area for a few weeks.  It is a full feeling as well as painful.  It is on the same side as my mastectomy.  I would prefer having a PET scan.  If this has invaded the lymph system again, I would like to know if it has travelled anywhere else before we go cutting it out.  Scar tissue wasn't one of the choices, but hopefully a possibility.  Would scar tissue start hurting 10 months after the surgery?  I know the technical difference between a recurrence and mets, but what is the significance in terms of overall survival stats?

    Thanks for the prayers.  I think the waiting is sometimes the hardest.  I don't see the onc until Friday, which means I won't have a PET scan until some time next week, if I can even get it done then.  DD is planning a big birthday party for me on the 23rd with about 65 people coming.  I did tell DH today, but I haven't told the kids yet.  We'll see what the onc says on Friday.

    The Lord is my shepherd;

    I shall not want.

    He makes me lie down in green pastures;

    He leads me beside the still waters.

    He restores my soul;

    He leads me in the paths of righteousness

    For His name's sake

    Yea though I walk through the valley of

    the shadow of death,

    I will fear no evil;

    For thou art with me;

    Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me

    Thou preparest a table before me in the

    presents of my enemies; Thou anointest

    my head with head with oil; my cup runneth

    over. Surely goodness and mercy shall

    follow me all the days of my life; and I

    will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

    Hi sweet Jane...

    I do not have any lumps.. but I can tell you my armpit , on the cancer side, hurts ALL THE TIME.. and it is a very full feeling... it is everything you described minus the lump.

    I had all my nodes removed over there and had mast and rads.

    I finished rads 4 months ago...

    Rads causes a LOT of scar tissue and it HURTS!

    I have offered you up in prayer three different times tonight , as you let us know your intentions...

    God Bless...

    Dear God, Please take our weary souls, transform them,

    and renew a right spirit in us. Take our pain and the

    tiredness and turn them in to pleasure and joy. Remind

    us with the wisdom of Your word, and revive us with the

    energy of Your love. You are the reason in this world.

    Thank You Lord for Your cool clear water on our parched

    souls. In  Your name we pray Amen

    You are in so much pain and don't know why.

    You've cried until the tears have run dry and ask

    "Why" so often that your voice has run hoarse.

    You don't understand why someone must suffer

    the rages of illness.

    Have faith, Somewhere down the road you will

    find the answer to your question. Although you

    may not see it now, down the road you will find

    Mighty Hands that hold the answers in them. Until

    then, recall Jesus' suffering, He cried, He bled

    He died for us. In doing so, He gave us the gift of

    eternal life. Turn to Him and you will live forever.

    The body may be sick, but the soul will be healthy

    when the holy spirit fills your heart.

    Yesterday my "God wants you to know.." thought on Facebook said that He wants me to know that I'm pushing myself too hard (or something along those lines).  It's kind of eerie because I've said (to myself) that, if this is a recurrence or mets, I'm giving up the 2nd job.  I'm not going to sit in the hospital hooked up to a blood transfusion, poring over the bills for the restaurant like I did last time.  I'll be leaving shortly for my appointment with the oncologist.  I'll let y'all know how I make out.

    Father in Heaven, Help me to have hope by surrounding me

    with hopeful people. Help me not to receive bad news as it is

    the last edition, but rather as one piece of information afloat

    on a river of facts flowing into a hopeful future. Heal me, I pray,

    not for my sake or anyone else's but for Your sake. And ground

    my hope of in the reality of Your profound and enduring love for

    me and desire for my well being. In Jesus name. Amen

    Jane and anyone else God bless you.
