My oncologist has recommended that I have both a biopsy and PET scan.  I am scheduled to see the surgeon on Tuesday to schedule the biopsy and the oncologist's office will let me know when the PET scan is scheduled for.  Whatever it is, it wasn't there in the spring when I had my CT scan for the radiation.  He gave my Lyrica for the pain.

Thank you all so much for you blessings.  I am home from the hospital, they took 8 nodes, all cancer free...thank God!  Now it is just healing time, really weak and generally sad, I don't really know why, maybe because I feel so bad.  Thank you again  Kristi

Wonderful news Kristi.  I love it when we hear of answered prayer.  The sadness could also be se of anesthesia I believe.  Give yourself a few days - take it easy and pamper yourself.

Jane, still praying for you.  Try and relax and give it over to God.

Foots, you are in my heart.  Let us know how you are doing.

    Big HI to everyone!

Thank You Lord, When the things of this world crushed in and cause

me to crumble, You carried me, Father. When I poured out my troubles

to others and could find no one to understand, You carried me.When

I faltered and lost my way and struggled to put one foot in front of the

other, You were the One who carried me. Now I know not to lean on

my own abilities. You are the One I completely depend oupon. I no

longer try  to be strong, for my strength lies in You. Thank You, dear

Lord, for picking me up in Your loving arms, and carrying me. Thank

You for helping me to never give up, No matter the circumstances. I

praise You for being with me and showing the way. When I'm unable

to see around the bend and wonder if there really a light at the end of

the tunnel, Your light leads the way, I praise You, Father, for still carrying

me. Someday there troubles and trails will be over. I look forward to the day

when carry me once more to be with You in heaven. In the meantime, Father,

I'll keep trusting, serving, and leaning on You. Amen

2Corinthians 12:9 TLB (God said) I am with you; that all you need

My power shows up best in weak people.

It's very interesting (to me) that part of the message the last 2 weeks in church spoke of the blind man that Jesus healed.  The disciples asked why he was born blind - who sinned - him or his parents?  Jesus replied that it was no ones fault that the man was born blind.  The man was born blind so Jesus could perform a miracle through him.  When I remind myself of this and Job, it helps me get through things.

I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from

    whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which

    made the heaven and earth.

    He will not suffer thy foot to be moved;

he that keepeth Thee will not slumber.

Behold , he that keepeth Israel shall

    never slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper; the Lord is thy

    shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall never smite thee by day

    nor the moon by night.

    The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil;

    He shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and

coming in from this day forth and evermore

For I know that my Redeemer lives,

    and He shall stand at last on the earth;

After my skin is destroyed, this I know,

That in my flesh I shall see God. Job 19: 25-26

power and of love and of sound mind.

Who has saved us and called us with a

which was given to us in Jesus Christ before

All praises to our Lord, Christ Jesus.  We know He is faithful and will bring us through each and every trial.

Foots, looking forward to hearing your news.

Ljh and JO - I, too, have to call on the Lord when I view 'that thread'.  I go, not so much to read but instead to pray when I am over there as when I'm there I can feel the terror some of them are living and so I pray for the Lord to give them peace by revealing the truth.  I do believe some hearts are receptive but we regularly reject that which we don't understand.  Continue with me in prayer.

    Christian Sisters

I need some much needed guidance.  I have plans to do something in the coming weeks and I have had this feeling that I should not do it.  I have had this lingering feeling for a few weeks now.  I have been praying about it asking God to guide me in this decision and I feel he has but I refuse to accept what he is telling me.  Just this morning while still lying in bed a radio preacher that I really like Dr. David Jeremiah, said something to the effect, if you have a strong feeling that you should not do something then that is God guiding you.  My heart is breaking because I want to do this so bad but something is not right or I would not be feeling this way....so I thought I would come to the my spiritual sisters and get your word on this.

    Love to all

    Linda

update on Jordan (the young man who has brain damage from a 4-wheeler accident.....He has been moved to a Rehabilitation Facility.  Continue to pray for my son's friend.  He has a long way to go.  I pray that God is with these head trama professionals and God will perform His miraculous healing through them.....Amen

Thanks JO for your reply....so I should not go crawling through a window if God closes the door LOL.....never thought about how often we do just that.

I too felt that Dr Jeremiah was my answer.....

This is not a spiritual matter.

ljh, Thanks for your response.  In the past God has done just that, he has given me this nagging feeling that I should or should not do something and I question that feeling until He just does something that is so clear that you know it is from Him, no question about it.

Thanks again and God bless you

Linda, if the situation is troubling you, you should look more deeply into it. Consider what would Jesus do? How will you feel if it is a mistake? How will you feel about yourself, esp if you are already having doubts prior. May God guide you in your decision.

    Hi Ladies...

I want to recommend a book to all of you.

It is a book "devotional" that a lady from the chatroom recommended to me when I first got my diagnosis....This book has been a life saver.  Written by another lady who is a BC survivor it is her story on her struggles of fighting this disease but it is also a daily devotional.

I have read thru it more than once now, and have laughed and cried...it is definately on my top 1- list of books.

I bot it for about $13 online..it is called "Grace for Each Hour" by Mary J. Nelson

    Hugs and luv...

A friend e-mailed me this link.  He and his wife run an orphanage in the Phillipines. The speaker is a Christian woman with breast cancer.  Her presentation is about an hour, so you might want to wait to view it.  It was very powerful for me and it spoke right to my heart.  www.deathisnotdying.com

one note to whomever needs it.

I think we get a lot of " false positives or negatives" in our praying and listening. I think it is our human fear that leads us to what we think we hear.

I saw PCP today and he already had a note from my onc.  I just LOVE getting info piece-meal.  According to PCP, the onc thinks its a new node (which he didn't tell me).  Everyone seems to be in agreement that I need a surgical excision.  I see the surgeon tomorrow.  I still don't know when the PET scan is going to be.  I'm going to call Oncs office in the AM so hopefully I know before I see the surgeon.

Thank you Jane for the update. I will continue praying

I was told today I needed a bone scan... due to pain I KNOW is from rads. They do not think it is.

Please pray I continue to have patients with my doctors....

They even ran tumor markers today.. WHICH they told me before they really do not believe in. I am sure they think I have bone mets now. WHICH I DO NOT..... they just will not let it go that RADIATION did this to me...

ok... venting done, I ask for your prayers that I keep my cool the next few weeks...

Jane... I pray for you daily.

Laura, I am praying for you to have patience with your doctors.  You know if there is a test they can run on us and make money, they are going to do it!  He He!  You know it is from your previous radiation treatments.  Let them run the tests so everyone can rest easier and in the mean time let all the worry and anxiety leave your body and put all you faith in the Lord for He is good!  Amen!
