please pray for the families and soldies out at fort hood....  so many dead and hurt... we have friends out there that we are unable to make contact with right not.  I am sure that all is well - but we will feel better once we hear from them.

Armywifenmommy, as I just signed on I was going to post the same request, although I don't have anyone there.  So sad.  Puts some of our issues into perspective.

Dear Lord, Father in Heaven, I lift up all the families and friends of our soldiers in Fort Hood to you.  We never understand why some have to leave us so early.  We never understand how one can take the life of the innocent.   Please let the families feel the love that can only come from your loving kindness.  My prayer is also for those who are injured to call out to you and embrace your promises to your children.  Their doctors will work to heal their bodies and we ask that you intercede to heal their minds.  For all the people at Fort Hood dear Lord, take away their fear and help them to turn to you.

In the precious name of my savior, Christ Jesus, I ask.  Amen

Dear God in heaven you are an awesome God, you are so good to us.  You answer prayer, we just have to trust and obey.  Lord, please be with and give strength and courage to all the people at Fort Hood today, all the families and friends. Please protect our troops in war with supernatural protection, give them strength, courage, and wisdom.  Please help all the bc sisters with their treatments, tests, and surgeries they are going through.  Please help my grandson stay drug free, for counseling and medications work.  He says he will be a lifelong recovering addict.  Lord help him stay sober all of his life, give him strength.  He says it is tougher than tough and harder than hard but you mighty God are stronger than strong and wiser than wise.  Guide us Lord and help us do your will.  Use us Lord as you need us.  I ask in Jesus name. Amen

Count it all when you fall into various trials,

knowing that the testing of your faith produces

patience's. But let patience have it's perfect work,

that you may be perfect and complete,

    lacking nothing. James 1:2-4

Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer.

From the end of the earth I will cry to You,

    When my heart is overwhelmed;

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For You have been a shelter for me,

A strong tower from the enemy.

    I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;

I will trust in the shadow of Your wings. Psalm: 1-4

Father God, We don't want to take one step

without You, We reach up for Your hand and

ask that You lead us in Your way. Thank You

that no matter where we are right now, Even

if we have gotten off course, in this moment

as we put our hands in Yours. You will make

a path from where we need to be. And You will

lead us on it. I love that Your grace abounds us

in that way, Keep us on the path You have for us

and take us where You want us to go. " Cause me

to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift my

soul to You."(Psalm 143:8) I know that when we try

to run a race without You, We get off course. So we

commit this day to walk Your way. Thank You that even

if we become weak and stumble, You will help us to rise

again and continue on.Grant us grace to remain faithful

even in the face of pain and suffering.By the power of the

Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, focus our minds upon

victory through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. We ask that You

watch and help our wonderful friends Genia, Patoo, Jo,

    Armywifenmommy, kmccaw423, Saint, Seyla, mmm5,

Mary, Spar, deborye, and other here on this line, In need

of Your comfort and peace. We love You Lord and thank

You for all the many blessing you have given us. In Jesus

    name we pray. Amen

armywife, were you able to finally contact your friends in Fort Hood?

Spar2, love you.  Your grandson is right that this is one of the hardest things he will ever have to do.  Drug addiction is wicked and he will get very discouraged along the way (I worked in a drug recovery program years ago).  Will continue to pray for him.

My soul finds rest in God alone;( not those others

things I want); my salvation comes from Him. He

alone is my rock and my salvation;  He is my

fortress, I will never be shaken." (Psalm 62:1-2)

    Praise the Lord!

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, For He is good!

    For His mercy endures forever.

Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord?

Who can declare all His praise? (Psalm 106:1-2)

    While I live I will praise the Lord;

I will sing praises to my God while

I have my well being. Psalm 146:2

Peace I leave with You, My peace I

give unto you; not as the world giveth

do I give to you. Let not your heart be

troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

O Lord, Its the end of a long day Father. There have been

struggles for some of us, But You were with us all day long.

Through our body aches from chemo, To weariness from test

and side effects from meds. We know our hearts feel glad to

come to You in prayer. Ah, sweet rest, dear Lord, Our head

sinks into the pillow. How magnificent Your watchful presence

is. Thank You for the way Your Holy Spirit surrounds us. Songs

of praise fill our minds. Our bodies relax. Our hearts are fixed on

You. How wonderful are all Your promises to love and care for us.

How much more wonderful are the ways You kept Your word. Our

minds are filled with everything we know about You. Thank You for

watching over us while we sleep. In the night shadows, We lift our

hearts in adoration. You are our strength. You are the One who rej-

uvenates us while we rest. Our souls cling to You while You hold us

close to You throughout the night. We commit our thoughts to You.

Each worry we place at Your feet. Each request we leave in Your

sure care. We bring our friends to You, Lord; Genia, Jo, Patoo, Mary,

Kbugmom, Armywifenmommy, Shar, Seyla, kmccaw423, deborye,mmm5,

and any other here in need of Your comfort. Each request  we leave with

Your sure care. In all our meditations we will honor You. For You are holy,

Holy, Holy, are You, O our God. dear Lord, We love You and Thank You

Thank you for your prayers. I was able to get in touch with some of my friends -- one I had to talk to family -- unfortunately they got caught in the middle of it and are pretty hurt. Gonna pull through though. I cannot imagine - we get into a mindset for deployment...not for homefront... So rough.

*sigh* One day at a time...

mmm5 - Debbie, through her pure heart and love of God does remind us that in the midst of strife and pain the Lord is with us.  It is we that turn away - never the Lord.  I tend to have little patience and all your steadfast prayers remind me of my Lord and God.  Striving for immortal life is far more important than anything I do.  So, humbly, thank you.

Blessings to all my prayer sisters.  I am so grateful to have you in my life.

Here is a nice poem I saw in an insert to our Sunday Lowell Sun.

"Dear God, I pray to give all of our soldiers the courage and strength to do the duty that is required of them.  May they always remember our appreciation for the sacrifice they are making for us.  We are thankful for the men and women who are willing to risk their lives to protect our freedom.  I ask you to go with each one of them and protect them wherever they go. AMEN"

Dear Lord, When storms of life toss us about, Lord,

Please take our hearts at the being securely planted

in the hollow of Your hand, We will feel Your firm but

tender grip, There we will cling to the hollow of Your

hand. When endless challenges come as we deal with

all the whirlwinds of cancer, And we feel Your presence

as You wrap Your steady fingers around ours and hold

us in the hollow of Your hand. When we see the light at

the end of the tunnel and take pleasure in sunshiny days,

We will rejoice. Still we nestle in the hollow of Your hand.

When the time come for life's journey to take a new turn.

We will glance to You Our Lord, and reach for the hollow

of Your hand. As many here Lord are in need of Your hand

to help them through. We lift them up to You and give them

peace, In the hollow of Your hand. Please give peace and

comfort to: Genia, Patoo, kbugmom, armywifenmommy,

mmm5, deborye, kmccraw423, Jo,spar, Selya and all the

other wonderful sister here, In need of Your comfort and peace.

Lord, Shine the light of Your Word on the

path of our life. Make it a lamp unto our feet

so we do not stumble. Bring it alive in our

spirits so that it illuminates our bodies and souls.

Let it be a guide for every decision we make,

every step we take, Keep us thinking good

so we may help ourselves to see Your love

and kindness as we walk a narrow path that

leads us to healing. Please be with all that are

needing help with the enemy, With trails and

other weapons of the enemy. Please help them to

see Your caring hands reaching out to help them,

For You are their shield. Lord we are grateful for

those who have patiently stood by us through thick

and thin. We could never see Your light shining without

them. As we walk this path and look for new ways to

win with our cancers, May we remember all those  ways

You are helping the Drs. We are grateful and leave, Genia

Patoo, Jo, ivorymom, kbugmom, armywifenmom, Spar,

That is wonderful... I felt similarly after talking on the phone with a bc.org member (9-year survivor) last night... also, my brother's mother-in-law sent me several pages of Scripture and her own story which is so encouraging... will see if she minds if I post it tomorrow.
