My sweet FIL made it through his heart surgery today really good, his color is already better and he is joking and laughing. God is good.
Tomorrow I am taking my grandson to ride all the rides at Frontier City so hoping for some cool weather.

I am glad your fil is getting better, my Dad is recovering from a fall, he is in a nursing/rehab home, nothing broken just bruised and weak. I feel sad that he had to spend the fourth there, but they did have a little celebration, but it's not the same were he lives in a senior assisted living which is beautiful and he loves it.

Hi Estepp, you are very welcome. You are now a mountineer. LOL. You can join us in our cottage in the mountains for food and drink, bring along the kids for a mountain hike and animal watching. Lots of swimming in the mountain streams with canoeing and fishing.
We took the grandson to frontier city and rode rides I never though I would get on. I am all shook up and sore, could barely walk this morning. I forget sometimes I am not a young chick anymore. Him and DH I bet rode the silver bullet like 6 times. It was fun though.
all kinds of creature pets we end up feeding with our scraps of left over food.
There is always something different to do in the mountains.

Estepp, I hate walmart too, the parking lot and the store are always so busy and the check out lines so long but it is a necessary thing to buy groceries around this small town.
Sierra, most people don't like armadillos but I do and I love the way they can roll up in a ball when faced with danger. They are amazing animals.
Went to Brocks family birthday party today, he ask everyone for money and got over $200 so he was a happy camper. The cake and homemade ice cream was wonderful. We also had hot dogs cooked out on the grill. Soon as we left there we had life group and just got home a little bit ago so it has been a very busy fun day.

I am preparing the house and pool for a party for about 35 people.. maybe more.. It is our annual summer party.. friends/family.... It is next weekend...Could you PLEASE pray it does not rain....LOL

Estepp, praying no rain for the weekend and that your party is a blast. Things are bound to happen when that many people get together but isn't it always fun and then when all is quite again, deep appreciation for all the quite and peace again.
Sierra, am fixing you a hot dog, soda, fries, and baked beans. You can have it all. Actually I am a little tired of hot dogs we have had them everywhere we have went this past week, sometimes with potatoe salad, sometimes with beans and sometimes with chips, cake and homemade ice cream.
You should be really full now and enough left overs for a while. LOL

Looking at the pictures has made me very hungry. Haven't had lunch yet but am going to go make a ham and cheese sandwich pretty soon. DH is cooking out shishkabobs tonight on the grill. With steak, green peppers, tomatoes, onions, and squash. They will be wonderful.

Hi mountaneers, had a really good day and bought a new piano and am going to try to learn to play again. Took 9 years of lessons but haven't played since the 80's so kind of have to learn all over. my left hand does not want to keep up with my right hand. If I can learn again will never let it go again. It is so relaxing.
Tomorrow it is off to the science center and the under ocean omnidome movie in OKC

Estepp, boy are you right, it is Monday and my legs feel like I really have climbed a mountain today with all the stairs up and down. The science center was very interesting and they had a red earth day with all of Oklahoma's Native Americans museum. It is amazing some of the baby carriers they built and some of the home made Indian dolls. The wild ocean made me so dizzy, at the omnidome it makes you feel like you are right there in the water with the dolphins, sharks and sardines. Most of it was filmed in Africa. Parts of it were like you were in an airplane flying fast and low, that made my dh dizzy. It was a blast. Then ate at Chili's because Emily said they have the best corn ever. Am very tired and am hoping to get her to bed soon. My son't MIL died tonight at 7PM so it is also a sad night. At least they were with her when she passed.

Yes, it is always sad, they just found out a month ago she had lung cancer and it was too late to do anything.
I traded the GD for the GS today, he is going to work at 5 to 7 feeding hungry people. He has been wanting to see what it was like so tomorrow night it the night.
Hope all is doing good. Keep on climbing those mountains whether they are physical, mental, or spiritual. Hugs.

Sierra, I took a test called what color are you and it turned out I was green and I do love that color. You take care too.
Estepp, glad your doing good, wouldn't it be wonderful to spend time of some island with beautiful weather. We have had some rain but it is still hot and muggy here. Hope your surgery Monday goes smoothly. I will say prayers for you. Hope it is a simple surgery.

Ladies.. a lady I know.. told me today.. she has lung cancer.. and will be doing chemo.. starting Monday.. Ihurt so much for her.. could you say a little prayer for her healing. Cancer SUCKS!

You bet, if you pm me her name we will pray for her at our life group prayer circle. Prayer works. God just answered my prayers on my 18 year old grandson, I had the whole church and bco friends praying and the miracle happened.
I went for a walk on my own land this morning and got a picture of one of my sunflowers and some purple flowers that are weeds that grow everywhere, don't know the name of them.
