    Oryx Antelope

    TwoJackLake

and sometimes we just need a mountain area with water.  This is called 2 jack lake and kind of looks like lisa's photo above.

there are times we just feel like laying in the flowers and day dreaming about our future

    California Poppy

wouldn't it be nice to lay in a field of poppies.

Hello mountain, am very excited about tomorrrow, besides finding out what is wrong with my eyes, I get to see a stage IV sister that was my best friend in high school, haven't seen her since the 70's.  Can hardly wait.  She is not doing very well.  Her name is JJ and she is in need or prayers.

thank you deborye, I saw her today and she is just beautiful, with a good attitude and spirit.  Ready to fight some more.  The chemo made her so sick she ended up in the hospital for a week but she is going to try it again because 50% of the bone cancer was gone on the bone scan.

God bless you too.  Hope you are doing well.

I have a strange thing going on with my eyes that the younger dr had not seen before so he called in the older dr and he said it was rare but the blood vessels are banding together and growing all the way up in inside lower lids and have an infection and my copay for 1 on the eye drops was $40 and have to use lid scrub forever and the cataracts are growing but said not to worry about them until they affect my vision and then we will do surgery.

hello mountaineers.  Joy to all.  Sierra, a garbage strike sounds awful I can just see it piling up everywhere but then I have an active imagination.

Today a baby blue jay fell out or was trying to fly out of the nest and fell to the ground, one of my cats ran over and grabbed him and took off running into the brush with the baby.  There ended up being 4 blue jays that were dive bombing the cat and squawking like crazy trying to get their baby back.  Animals do show love and love their young ones too.  I felt so bad for them but it was too late.  DH says it is just nature, but it still makes me sad.

Need to escape to the mountains for a bit where the weather is cooler.

Did not ever find any swans to buy and no longer have the ducks,  I give up on trying to raise them.  I do take the grandkids to the duck pond in the city and feed them and they will come eat the bread out of our hands or if we throw it in the water, huge fish jump up and eat the bread.  The ducks and fish fight over the bread.

    they are a beautiful bird.

I love all birds, there are some gorgous ones out there.  I try to keep my feeders full for all of them and the squirrls get their fill also.

We have been thinking of taking off for Colorado in a couple of days, we have friends there and it snowed on them yesterday.  Amazing.

this looks just like the class IV rapids where I got threw out of the boat and almost drowned.  Now I don't white water raft no more, just canoeing slow streams.  But they are beautiful.

Our friends had a bear come through their camp yesterday and was brave enough to go out and get pictures.  I would have been too scared.  I will see if he will let me post some of his pics.

this is where I grew up in the Arbuckle mountains.  It is very beautiful there.  Lots of swimming, fishing, hiking, exploring caves, hunting arrowheads, floating down rivers.  Lots of fun growing up.

All of these are pictures of lake murray close to where I grew up. The light house has a circular stair case you can climb to the top.  Happy hiking and mountain climbing.

Love exploring the areas around which I was raised.  Here is some of lake arbuckle

When I was a kid lake arbuckle was not there is was a road to Daugherty, Okla and peoples houses.  It is a man made lake.  also there is Chickasaw National Park which was called Platt park when I was growing up.  It is a lot of fun.

We wade these creeks and swim and hike all summer long here.  the nature center, the building on the far left has all kinds of animals, live and stuffed and films all summer.  Very interesting place to visit and camp.  It is a lot cooler there because of all the water and shade trees.  Lots of hiking mountains.

this is bromide hill which we climb with the grandkids every spring and summer

Hello Mountain.  Peace and beauty.  Its been another busy day with plumbing, spreading sand, getting all the stuff to build on a patio.  Would love to have it full of plants and flowers like a jungle patio. Have been thinking of daisy's and sunflowers all day.  I have 3 large sunflowers but they haven't bloomed out yet.

they are so fresh but then I do love roses too, so think I will post a few of those

    love hydrangea's also

God has made such a beautiful world with such great wonderful colors for each season.

It looks like not too many people are climbing the mountains these days.  I like seeing places people have been and flowers they have grown.  I have  an african violet that is taking the slow way to death.....

Hi dreamwriter, I guess the weather is just too hot for a lot of people to climb the mountains but I have fun with it anyway.  I will have to post some african violets, I have heard they are hard to grow.

thank you pepermintpatty, glad you enjoy the pictures.  I also love all those places but the desert is my least fav or at least I wouldn't want to vacation there. LOL

I have never been able to grow an african violet or an orchid

Hello mountain, well usually I am feeling happy and up but for some reason I am really down and sad tonight.  Just feel so alone.  Maybe I need to hike to a private place and read my bible for a bit.  Goodnight Mountain.
