Juannelle, so sorry about your dog. I hope she pulls through.
I found a little kitten in our yard a few days ago. So me being me, I took her in and have been taking care of her since. We were going to take her to the SPCA, but her owner called us and picked her up. Damn I miss that cat. She was super cute. You can get so attached so fast.
Saw big onc yesterday. I was telling her about my heart palpitations and dizziness so she is sending me for an echo and she sent me for a chest xray. My PG said it was just an extra beat in my heart and I was just sensitive to it. I will be seeing a cardiologist next week as well. My big onc thinks it is just that the sac around my hear has shrunk from the rads and my heart is working to push it out and stretch it. At least I feel like somthing is being done at last.

So sorry about your dog, Juannelle. And Michele, too bad about the cat, although he's probably glad to be back with his family. I know how easy it is to become attached!

Juanelle,
I am so sorry about your little poodle. The snake problem is terrible... and as you have said, you have to worry about people too! We have black snakes here and it is said they keep rattlers away. We have, over the years, seen two full size rattlesnakes nearby but none since more houses and people. Is there some kind of snake repellent?
Micheleboots,
So good you are seeing a cardiologist. My neighbor, a BC patient, had fluid build up around her heart which caused heart attack symptoms... easily fixed once discovered. Was your radiation to the left side? Always a worry :-( Me too. Good luck!

Juanelle ~ sorry to hear about your dog. Is there any improvement?
Michele ~ sorry the kittie is gone. Maybe go get yourself ONE ! You deserve a furry friend.
Mary ~ hang in there with the work at your home. I can imagine. My hubby is a contractor but the neatest one you will ever find ! I want my wood floors refinished but just cannot deal with the mess and dust, so I leave them............
Have a good day girls !

Juanelle,
I hate to hear about your little buddy! I used to live on a ranch between Denton and Dallas and was always fearful of finding a rattlesnake. I killed several copperheads but thank goodness never saw a rattlesnake. Hope shes doing better, so hard when they are so small.
Shelby - love the new pic. You look great!

Pam, yes I am back from vacation and in the real world! What a stinking dose of reality it has been this week, oh my gosh... it truly has been an awful week at work! Ok enough ranting!!!
Juanelle how is your little baby? I hope that today brought better news...
Michelle glad to hear that something is going to be done about your palpitations.
JoJo, I love your new avatar! Great picture!!!

hello everybody.
Sorry about your dog.
I am disappointed. I went for my bra fitting today. The lady is wonderful and knows her bras. She didn't like any of them on me that she had in my size. So I didn't get any nor did I get my new boob. She is ordering some more and I will have to go back in again. She want sell me the boob until I have a bra because she said it could change the size. I am so ready to get rid of this fluff that keeps come up to my neck. lol
I also got my appointment for by body bone scan and my adominal - chest CT. Just what I wanted....to worry about till Nov. 10.
Started physical therapy this week for my torn roator cuff. Lets just say she move my arms and shoulders in ways they haven't been moved in many months now. ouch I am sore.
Hope everybody stays well and has a great weekend!

Has anyone had a constant mild headache from tamoxefin , Ive had one for a good week now its right across my for-head and is there all the time but not quiet strong enough to take any pain killers, and im constantly tired and still seem to have chemo brain , i was wondering could this be related to tamox or something else of course my mind goes straight to brain mets .But other than that things are ok i haven't killed my older daughter yet she seems to be getting her shit together FINALLY the weather here has been so pleasant in the 20s so just perfect i haven't been getting hardly any hot flushes at all and my sleep is great a solid 8-10 hrs without waking i hope that little white pill is working

JOJO,
Who is that with you in your new avatar? A cutie, for sure!
So sorry about the headache. Stress?
Thinking of you!

JoJo, yuck for the headaches! It's probably stress, as Pam said, rather than mets. I know it's really hard to allay those fears!
Good luck Kitty on the scans; sorry you have to wait so long, but try not to spend time worrying unless you find out whether you truly have something to worry about, which I hope is not the case.
Thanks for the compliments on the new pic! I actually got a compliment on my new hairstyle from someone I know from school who hasn't seen me since before the bc and didn't know about the bc. So, I took that as a real compliment, and as proof that now it actually looks like a hairstyle choice rather than chemo grow-out. It felt good!
Have a fabo day everyone!

Jojo, I think the headaches can be from T. I believe it is common. But tyou should check out the T thread. They give good info. My onc suspects the heart sac thing. And I have no idea what can be done about it..No doubt it involves long scary needles and much pain...or is that only in my mind?
Abby, what kind of foob do you have now? How long have you had it.
Renee, doesn't reality SUCK?

I still have the foam fluff that I came home from the hospital with when I had the Mastcetomy in March.
Thank You.
I have had a dull headache since starting Tamoxifen but thought it was more the poor air quality causing them. Hope yours go away.
Shelby I love your hair. I can't wait for my to get that long. At the rate it is growing that may be my Christmas present. A hair cut! lol I actually had someone trim the back up this week. Too much fuzz growing everywhere on my neck.

Kittydog- Why the long wait till November? are you in Canada?
0 -
That is when I was first DX. I am not sure why they couldn't wait till my October appointment though to set it up. I guess it gives me plenty of time to think about my berry drink sitting in my refrig.

Hope you all don't mind but this appeared on the front page of our local paper today and I wanted to share it with you... it's a picture of my mom, son and my son's oldest daughter Aiden (she's 3)
This was made at one of our local parks... Sportsman Lake Park!

Ladies I'm sorry the picture is so big I didn't know how to down size it to make it smaller. I copied it directly from the paper. Have a great weekend!!

The little one in my avatar is one of my granddaughter, she is two today
yahhhh i had a headache free day today niiiiice
I meet a lady the other week through a very close friend of mine and her daughter who will turned 12 tomorow has been diagnosed with leukemia and has had a long stay in the hospital ,while she was in there she was also diagnosed with diabetics and a rare form of a fungal growing on her lungs and had to remove part of her lung ,which is what my son had a couple of years ago, any way the little girl is at home now for a few days until next chemo her mum bought her a wig and asked me if i was able to cut it in a style for her ,my heart goes out to them both specially the mum for one of ithe biggest thing that i was grateful for while going through whole cancer thing and chemo was that it was happening to me and not my kids ,so to be able to do something even such a little thing for them i jumped at it ,she was sooo excited that finally her wig was going to be cut in a style, and what she wanted was easy for me to do, the excitement and joy on her face when i had finished was like fresh air going through my body, i had a fabulous weekend but that was the high light

Renee, you have a beautiful family - they look so happy! How fun to have it in the paper.
JoJo, what a lucky person you are to be able to have that kind of impact on another person's life. It's just too bad that you have to know from personal experience how important a simple wig can be for a cancer patient.
I am awake in the wee hours yet again. Since starting Tamox, I've been waking up at 4:30-5:00 in the morning. What's up with that? I'm not sure if it's the Tamox or not, but the timing is awfully suspect. I guess I should just enjoy the quiet of the morning before the kiddos wake up. The infomercials are entertaining, I suppose... At least I won't be waking up late for my student teaching assignment which starts next week! I'm excited to find out what school I'm assigned to. (Or, as a teacher, I should say "I'm excited to find out to which school I'm assigned." LOL
Have a great day everyone!!

great picture Renee !
JOJO how nice you were able to help that woman with her wig.

Jojo, It does feel special to help or even talk to others with cancer. I think it helps them and us feel like we are not alone. I work in a retail shop and always reach out to those that look like they have had chemo. I remember some days it felt like such a chore to go out in public without hair. Out on display. I have told one of the customers that came to my shop she could have my wig.
Shelby we should start a club. I wake every morning at 5:30. On the nose. What the hell is that about. Then I am awake for at least an hour. If I can get back to sleep. I think perhaps I have a hotflash and that wakes me. The weather here is hot, so it is hart to tell.

Hot? Tell us southern girls about it! I just got home from my morning walk.... dripping wet,REALLY! Temp today 94F, feels like 106 :-( But yes, we do have air conditioning... 78F in the house :-) It's a two-shower a day summer. It's hard to tell the hot flashes from ambient conditions. Ceiling fans and ice water are keeping me going.
Stay cool everyone!

Here's hot for you - I got in the car this afternoon and the temp was 117 degrees! That was due to the heat rising from the concrete. When the car got moving, it cooled down to a chilly 106 degrees. How many more weeks of this, ladies? I over did it in the garden yesterday, and ended up feeling crummy for the rest of the day. It was just so good to be out there working. But we sometimes forget that we are a little weaker from the kind of year we've all had.
Juanelle, those snakes have to go. So sorry about your pup. Keep us posted, will you?
Renee, sweet picture. Thanks for showing it to us.
JoJo, I'm with Michelle. Tamoxifen could be causing those headaches. I get them, too. They really flare up when I exercise. Within about 30 minutes of a workout, the old head starts to throb. From the temples and across the forehead. Let's hope they get better within a few months.
Michelle - sorry about the trouble with your heart. It's good that you are persistent. Make those docs figure out what's going on. You're in my prayers. And yeah, it's hard to let a good kitten go. Maybe there will be another one in your future.
Love and hugs to all of you.

Magob, I hope not. I already have two cats. One vomits when he is stressed. which is almost daily. He sees a squirrel and BLLLAAAAA all over y floor. it really is good that the cute little sucker is gone.

I'll give ya hot. I had chemo pause a year ago and thought that I was done with that for good. Mother nature had other ideas and waved her magic wand and POOF I was back to my pre chemo. self. Then another POOF was sent my way and I am back to the hot flashes. Add the HotLanta sun and humidity and I am a walking ball of sweat. I put my reading glasses on this morning and they fogged up. No joking.

I will give HOT to our Texas sisters. That "breeze"that comes up across Mexico is like a blast of air out of the oven! The hottest I've ever been was one 4th of July in Harrison, Arkansas. But their heat comes in waves with cool fronts in between. In Florida it is one long hot spell, May to October!
The coldest? Chicago in late October. Can't even imagine what it would be like in January! I think I prefer hot.

As a military brat I can confirm that Cold is better than Hot. In cold you can always put on more clothes to get warmer. In hot there is a limit to how much you can take off. I run around here is a silky PJ and still sweat like a prostitute at church.
