    Day Eight Rosary Novena for Ali (and other intentions)

    Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy!
    Our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
    To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
    to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
    Turn, then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us;
    and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
    O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
    Pray for us O Holy Mother of God
    That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

    That's GOOD news Maria!!  Maybe Ali's thyroid is just out of whack.  My step son has a bad thyroid and has to stay on top of meds.  And that's good news about your biopsy.  I have the same "problem" where I had surgery and SAVI radiation.

    I'm off to my last formation class with the Secular Franciscans!  "See" you all tomorrow!

    Pax et bonum!

    Maria, good news, so glad to hear!!!

     Theresa, thank you for doing this Novena.....it's been so helpful for me and I know for so many others on here. Smile  Also, thanks for letting me know about your scar tissue from your SAVI. I have a feeling that's what mine is. I'm sooo bruised now from the ultrasound all over my left breast where the implant was....they had to press so hard and I'm so small breasted and dense hard nodular tissue.....I looked last night and I'm yellow and blue all over, eek. But better than having cancer, I'll take it!

    Blessed Novena to all.......so glad we can all pray together.

    Thank you Theresa and Cheri. Yes the thyroid would be an easy fix if that turns up as a problem, he did tell me though it wouldnt explian all the other stuff like the white counts and high inflammatin and stomach issues BUT it would be great to have something checked off as diagnosed and done :)

    Cheri.. feel better and hope your healing quickly!

    Happy Mothers Day to all!

    Maria

    Theresa -Thanks for doing the prayers for the novena

     Tink: I'm writing this here versus a pm b/c it may help someone else in the future. There is nothing stopping your pediatrician from running miniumum a TSH. That would indicate either hypo or hyper thyroidism. There are other thyroid studies that can be run, like T3 and T4, but they may balk at that. Two months(plus if she's been low)  at low thyroid is too long. Pediatrician or GI doc can run TSH they do it all the time. Glad to hear it wasn't Chrons --was worried about that one.

    TO ALL: would like to pre-plan a novena to St. Francis that would start on June 1st and end on June 9th, the day that Theresa-takes her profession. This is a rare opportunity to do a novena in relationship to a person taking vows either as a lay person or priest, nun or monk. As the time comes closer I will ask for your intentions. Our prayers intentions will include any submitted . Put on your callendars to submit on 25th through the 28th.

    If you will ask your rosary groups at church etc to join us That would be wonderful. Thanks for all your good works. Love and Pax sheila

    New Body Part Malfunction: musical ear syndrome--auditory hallucination. Risk factors hard of hearing, tinnitus, depressed, lives in quiet environment, can be induced by drugs(no list available). Tinnitus since 1998. Roaring at first then after progressively getting softer over a year(1999) settled into evening crickets. Some times softer than other times. Definitely prefer the crickets to roar.

    Tinnitus changed after surgery. Figured it would settle down in time.

    Today around 8 am. started hearing music while sitting on the deck. Thought it kind of rude to be playing music that early in the morning.  Go inside musics still playing--Duh realize it's in my head. Throw key words musical tinnitus in the computer. I'm a classic case. So, I have crickets on the right, and swing jazz--big band era on the left. Why couldn't it be some beautiful classical piece. May be I can will a station change.

    (A no sleep night-----oh yeah that's a risk factor)

    Well that's interesting Sheila!  I think I've had that too, but then my ears are like radar.

    I have new body malfunctions too.  The results of all that blood work last week shows elevated uric acid. The liver function was slightly high, but she's not worried about that... said to lay off Tylenol and alcohol for a month.  No problem there!  But she wants me to see a rheumatologist for the uric acid thing in case it's gout.  Yet another doctor!  I read such conflicting things about what to eat and what not to eat if you have elevated uric acid.  Oh well.  I guess I'll make the appointment and see what she has to say.

    Enjoy the evening!

    Theresa, you may end up seeing a nephrologist too or in place of Rheumy. Uric acid is a kidney excretion. Ask the Rheumy if you should be seeing him first for the uric acid or a kidney doc. Will save money if all the Rheumy doc is going to do is refer you to a Nephrologist

    Would you be so kind as to direct me to prayers for St. Francis for the novena starting on the first. What I can do is get them safely stored in the archives. Always pre-planning in case of an emergency LOL's

    Hi everyone, have been away from the boards with DH diabetes dx and a small vacation we took. Hope all is well with everyone.

    Dear sweet Jesus, I implore Your merciful heart to rain grace down on each of us as we seek You and walk in Your ways. Hear, dear Lord, the sound of each of our calls, and grant us the quiet to hear Your whisper, so that our hearts can hear You too. We come to You, Your faithful daughters, with arms open, head back, ready to do that to which we are called.  Here we are Lord, show us Your ways, Your Truth, and Your Word.

    Sheila - here is a link to a Saint Francis Novena prepared by Third Order Regular Franciscan Friars.

    http://www.st-francis-medal.com/st-francis-novena.htm

    St Francis of Assisi prayer of the Immaculate Conception.

    Hail, holy Lady,
    Most holy Queen,
    Mary, Mother of God, Virgin made Church;
    Chosen by the most Holy Father in heaven,
    consecrated by him, with his most holy beloved Son
    and the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.
    On you descended and in you still remains
    all the fullness of grace and every good.
    Hail, his Palace, his Tabernacle.
    Hail, his Robe. Hail, his Handmaid. Hail, his Mother.
    And Hail, all holy Virtues who, by the grace
    and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, are poured forth into the hearts of the
    faithful so that, faithless no longer, they may be made faithful servants of God
    through you. Amen.

    Thank you all for your continued prayers for Ali. The school her doctors and I decided that it was in her best interest to finish the school year at home. I was able to get documentation from her docs that was what they suggested and the school has been incredibly supportive. They said her grades were good so they would have the teachers just average in what she had done and she could be done and did not have to worry about finals. They were more concerned about her health and since she has now started with anxiety attatcks, it is better if she is home so we can fisgure this all out. So we have no answers yet.. but will are stillworking on it and hope to get her back on her feet as soon as we can!

    Thank you

    God Bless

    Maria

    Tink, so sorry for all this.  My daughter had 7 appts with school docs over 5 weeks and missed a ton of her classes.  She came home last week for a few days and went to the family doctor.  They thought mono again, sinus infection, respitory infection, you name it.  The CT was clear after 3 rounds of antibiotics, but her throat is still swollen....the family doc wants the tonsils out.

    Continued prayers for your DD.
