UPenn tomorrow. Definitely getting Pertuzumab and Herceptin. Haven't had the Navelbine in 3 weeks because my WBC has been too low. So tomorrow I'll also get chemo if my WBC is up. I pray for the knowledge to know and desire God's Will. I pray my offering is acceptable to unite my suffering with that of Christ's for the good of The Lord's Will. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, I pray. Amen.

Don't know if any one is up and on line yet, but I am having an MRI  of my head and neck this a.m. at 8:00 a.m with contrast and could sure benefit from some prayers for calmness among other things.

Will be swallowing the 2 valium tablets at 7:00 along with the last of the steroid and 2 Benedryl since I am strong allergy risk for contrast medium.   Didn't get much rest at all last night and was up at 5a.m yesterday and this a.m.

Taking my rosary CD in case they can pipe it into the machine for me.  Don't know, 12 years ago at the hospital they could do this.  Am doing this at a place called Advanced MRI.

Thanks all for your prayers.  My oncologist lowered the dosage of the chemo part (navelbine) so we're hoping that does the trick.  If not, back to the drawing board, as they say.  She's got a few tricks up her sleeve, God Bless her.

I'm so grateful to God for trusting me with these sufferings.  It feels good to have something to offer up and unite with the sorrows of Christ for the good of God's Will.

Home from MRI---went very well, felt much peace and calm, thanks for prayers and being in my pockets!  Results should be done on Monday, but I don't see ordering doctor to see them until around the 19th.   Noises were loud enough couldn't hear all of my rosary tape, but very calming when I could.  Now to sleep off the sedatives.

Redheaded- We will be praying too. I silently prayed the rosary all during my CT scans in June after very ominous looking MRI. I even told the tech I was going to do this. She likely raised her eyebrows. Well results showed no spread and in fact improvement over the past year. Keep praying-it works and ask anyone and everyone to pray for you too.

Redwolf-  Amen,  I will be praying the Novena come Monday. God Bless.

Getting my MRI results tomorrow afternoon.  Pretty sure they were good, or they would have called me sooner??  Why is it that bad news never waits and Good news usually does???? It's been a week.

Ok, home from getting the MRI results.  Not one significant thing in the report that would explain the ear pressure and pain.  Nerves 7-8 clear and what was visable of 5 was fine.  No aneurism, no little bleeds.  Some white lesions that had not changed from scan in 2010 (migraine scars most likely)  some slightly dilated capillaries at the pons, but nothing to worry about.

So, ENT says that he called the TMJ doctor who says to him "Scope her nasally again to look at the Eustachian tube" and " I may just do some Trigger points".  Well, NO, he is not doing that I don't trust him that much, if I need them, and I don't, it will be someone else doing it.So then I again say to the ENT, It is in my EAR.... INSIDE MY EAR.

So he says maybe I have Patulous Eustachian Tube dysfunction.  NO way to have a clear diagnosis, but its more common in women and can happen at middle age due to HORMONES...... and what am I doing to mess with my HORMONES??  ARIMIDEX.

Says they can surgically put a tube in my ear, but then I will always have to wear a plug to swim and a cotton ball loaded with Vaseline when I shower, and it could distort the way things sounds, and if I don't like it within 3 months they can pull it out...  So I google this and it says all these other things that happen with it, which I don't have........

So I am trying to cool down and maybe call my MO on Monday.  He had told me I could go off the Arimidex 3-4 weeks but he didn't think it was the drug.  And since I've been on it since early June, the ENT thinks I'd need to be off it 6 months to get my hormone function back up.   So it just seems like right now, the Cancer is going to win in wrecking how I feel, one way or another.  You think when you get down to the post surgery, post rads, stage things will go back to normal, but apparently not.

Sorry for being such  a Debbie Downer......I just don't know who to talk to next.

Redheaded- what symptoms are you experiencing. I had severe dizziness for 6 months and finally ENT thought crystals loose in middle ear. They did some head maneuvers to get them to float back in place. It worked-- after all else failed . Hopefully you can keep on the Arimedex. H

    Hugs to you.

Praying for you Penny, that you rest and bounce back and the doctors get you fixed up quickly. May angels surround you as you heal.

GrammyR-I have fullness in the ear, like when you need to yawn to make airplane pressure go away, but it doesn't go away when I try.  It comes and goes throughout the day.  I did call my MO and leave a voice mail.  He called me back and more or less said that hormone related patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction happens during PREGNANCY when your Estrogen is HIGH....He sounded kind of irritated about the whole discussion I had with the other doctors PA.

ShockedRedheaded - well he's not the one dealing with the fullness in the ear is he? Bet he's never been pregnant either.Loopy

Since you had an ER+ cancer,  telling you this happens when estregen is high sounds a bit odd, Isn't that what the arimidex is making sure CANNOT happen......? Hope you can get some relief soon. XXX

Penny, thinking of you and offering today's St. Therese novena for you again XXX
