A very Happy, Blessed and Peaceful Christmas to all
The Coming of Christ
I have made my heart clean to-night
As a woman might clean her house
Ere her lover come to visit her:
O Lover, pass not by!
I have opened the door of my heart
Like a man that would make a feast
For his son's coming home from afar:
Lovely Thy coming, O Son!

Blessings Catholic Sisters,
I received such good news today I just had to share that my prayers were answered. The progression and resurgence of bone mets this fall has finally responded to treatment. The PET/CT today showed significant reduction in metabolic activity in almost all my bones mets and only two small areas on my spine remain, however the SUV has been reduced greatly. I hope 2016 is a wonderful year for you all.

Yay, AmyQ!
So glad that your prayers were answered! How wonderful!
I am still praying that my autistic son (with anger issues) finds some peace. I am fortunate that my husband has been so helpful with him. Even when I am alone with him, I know that I'm not really alone. I pray that God gives me the guidance to respond to him in a way that improves his behavior and helps him feel loved.
Happy New Year's to everyone!

Amy that is such wonderful news. Thank God. Happy New Year and may 2016 continue to see God's blessings showered on you and your family.
Elaine Therese - Happy New Year to you too and to your family. You have a lot to cope with. Thank God for your great husband. May God's love for you all be felt throughout this coming year.
Grammy I hope you have had a peaceful and Happy Christmas and that all your family are well.
Happy New Year to all.

AmyQ, that is awesome, blessed news for sure! I am very happy for you!
I am praying that I can find a treatment that will work for me. So far, I have not responded to any treatments-I am due to start my 4th tx shortly. It becomes more difficult each time a treatment fails--it's a bit like being diagnosed all over again. I'm trying to stay positive but it is really difficult.
Happy 2016 to all!

Macy!
Sorry to hear that you haven't found a treatment that works for you yet. How frustrating! I will add you to my prayer list. ((Hugs.))

Macy will pray the St Peregrine Novena for YOU. XXX

Thank you!
I've started the St Peregrine Novena. I've never prayed a Novena before (I'm a new Catholic). I had to put a reminder in my phone or else I know I will forget!
Thanks again!

Fast From – Feast On
A Lenten Prayer
by William Arthur Ward
Fast from judging others; Feast on the Christ dwelling in them.
Fast from emphasis on differences; Feast on the unity of life.
Fast from apparent darkness; Feast on the reality of light.
Fast from thoughts of illness; Feast on the healing power of God.
Fast from words that pollute; Feast on phrases that purify.
Fast from discontent; Feast on gratitude.
Fast from anger; Feast on patience.
Fast from pessimism; Feast on optimism.
Fast from worry; Feast on divine order.
Fast from complaining; Feast on appreciation.
Fast from negatives; Feast on affirmatives.
Fast from unrelenting pressures; Feast on unceasing prayer.
Fast from hostility; Feast on non-resistance.
Fast from bitterness; Feast on forgiveness.
Fast from self-concern; Feast on compassion for others.
Fast from personal anxiety; Feast on eternal truth.
Fast from discouragements; Feast on hope.
Fast from suspicion; Feast on truths that uplift.
Fast from lethargy; Feast on enthusiasm.
Fast from thoughts that weaken; Feast on promises that inspire.
Fast from shadows of sorrow; Feast on the sunlight of serenity.
Fast from idle gossip; Feast on purposeful silence.
Fast from problems that overwhelm; Feast on prayer that strengthens.

There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.
Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.
So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country
who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.
He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!
I will go back to my father and say to him:
Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.'
So he got up and went to his father.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him.
He ran to his son.
He threw his arms around him and kissed him.
"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate.
For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'

Hi Loving and WELCOME!

Hello all. Thank you for starting this page, and for the prayers that are shared. I am a deep believer, but for complicated family reasons have not been connected with a parish for some time, though I was very active 8 years ago. I very much miss my old church family, especially now, so it is nice to have met you in this group, and I enjoy the discussion!. My surgery is set for March 17.

Zoziana Welcome! We are sorry to see you join the BC sisters club but very happy to have you in the Catholic family
No problem to remember to pray for you, your family and your medical team on that date as it is St. Patrick's Day. May St. Patrick who brought the light of Christ to Ireland intercede for your health and healing. XXX

LovingisLiving and Zoziana, welcome!
Zoziana, I will add you to my prayer list. Prayers that your BMX goes well and that you heal well.
In terms of life changes, I am having a fairly successful Lent. I have been trying to reduce my alcohol intake for some time, and this Lent, I have been able to cut my intake in half! Small steps.... Hope everyone is having a Blessed Lent.
