Apple....what the HECK?? I am so sorry I just don't understand some days why it would happen to someone like that with all that responsibility and sounds like a wonderful Man.

I just got back from a fundraiser for St. Jude's Hospital and a 10 year old girl spoke, she has a brain tumor and she and her Mother spoke about their experience at St. Judes and what it is like for her dealilng with Brain Cancer. It broke my heart and I walked away depressed just knowing of all these wonderful families dealing with Cancer. It is soo hard and it is hard to explain to so many. Many of the women at this lunch just don't get it they were there for the "lunch" and the handbag auction but just did not get the deep pain and struggle of cancer and I could not or didn't want to even try and explain. But, for kids and the parents of these kids I hope and pray there are special angels that are following them.

Today I offer my prayers for the children suffering from cancer, and their parents.

I pray also for Apple's brother, his family, Jeannine, Saint, Janet, and Lord I thank you for answering Jacqueline's prayers.

    Hello all!

Well I'm STILL WAITING for final acceptance in PARP..Please continue to pray my beautiful sisters. My patience is thinning and I've been experiencing some pain.  Everytime I'm down, I keep reiterating, " Trust Him". Hopefully I should know tomorrow.  UCLA's screeing me meanwhile. Laura: I'm keeping the Faith no matter what.

3M & Nancy - God Bless you for your continued thoughts and prayers. I know it's all on HIS time. Nancy: Indeed what a recovery journey you've been on! I hope you're feeling better. You're in my prayers too.  Was it the Trans flap? A friend on another board told me she was in complete pain too.

Angel: So happy you had a wonderful time in Flagstaff. I can imagine the amazing scenery of God's wonders.

Apple: I echo your prayer..Lord keep the great and courageous people battling this disease!

The devil gave me a migrane yesterday trying to stop me from getting my ashes..I couldn't find an English service! The ones being offered were only in Spanish. Then I had a little incident with a lady there who practically told me to shut up...Well after crowded parking lots, 2 mile drive to another parish and a mile away walk, I got my ashes.  It was so worth it.  Maybe this was payback for not giving up coffee? (No meat for me.)

    God Bless,

    Jeannine

I jsut discovered this forum. I keep forgetting to come and visit!

MMM5-Prayers for that little girl and her mother. Nothing could be more devastating then your child getting cancer. I think that is the hardest part for me-understanding why something like that happens.

    Hi Pure.

I think a daily visit is in order.. especially since it is Lent.

I didn't know you were Catholic.  GO CATHOLICS!

After Ash Wednesday Mass which was held early for some reason (6 pm).  a group of Mexican families came and sat near us.. I think they were waiting for Mass to start.  We are playing at service  - a deaconate?  (almost a priest service).  The young man has been serving at a parish with a predominantly Mexican population and we are to play/sing Pescador du Hombres (hear it here...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoxULgh4Gtc&feature=PlayList&p=D062B8A6D28BFDF1&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=74

Usually this song is performed with guitars and little band and I hadn't a clue how to play it on the organ and my director was totally stymied.  Anyway this little group started accompanying us on the refrain in glorious 3rds.  they really sang nicely and gave us some pronunciation hints.. It was so nice... they were like an immediate answer to my problems.

Who knows how God speaks to us?

I pray to St. Perergine, St. Agatha, and St. Lucy to intercede for our special intentions with Our Heavenly Father. Please grant my sister Barbara, Saint, Jeannine, Apple's brother, and CathyS. peace, comfort, and hopefully a miracle. Amen.

Hi, Jen (Pure)...good to see you over on this thread!

Apple, I'm still praying that your brother's illness is the most treatable kind. His family needs him, and hope God sees it that way, too.

    All,

Just heard from my Doctor who did my biopsy, and I'm still dancing with NED!!!!! I also wanted to thank all of you for you prayers. It's amazing how powerful prayers can be. Knowing that all of you were there made it all a little bit eaiser. I'll still keep all of you in my prayers.

Hood, you're info was a learning experience for me. I never knew that Holy Thursday and Saturday were "fast days". I thought that Ash Wednesday and Good Friday were the only ones. Another learning day, even at my age!

Oh Boy ladies I really need your prayers this next week. My Husband was laid off today after a long waiting period we thought he made it through the lay offs but his job was cut today. He is in Medical Sales, and they cut many jobs. We are in a pickle our insurance was through him and this is very bad news. Please include us in your prayers for guidance and resolution. I know many are suffering hard economic times it is just another bomb dropped for us after BC, then Juvenile Diabetes for our son, then this. We need something positive for a change.

    Thanks!

I am not sure but will look into it, and would appreciate a prayer circle. This is the topper my sons insulin will be 1000 per month without job related insurance. I have to believe this will be worked out in Gods time but I am very panicked. Ladies our family has gone from being very comfortable with 2 very good jobs to in a serious situation after he lost his job. I left my 17 year career as a VP in bus development, after my son's illness because I could not travel with his illness and all I was going through. I am in no frame of mind to look for something brand new right now but may look into some consulting....it all just seems so stressful. We were just getting to a better place this year after all my scans then this bomb dropped. OK there I said it all and now I place it in God's hands. I appreciate all your prayers, and your support that you have always given me here.

Went to stations of the cross today before I knew about my Husbands job and I felt so at peace and that all was well. I have to stick to that feeling knowing that God knew and he has a plan right?

I know so many here are suffering more than I right now and I read the stories and can't wrap my arms around it, so I guess in comparison this is small potatoes!!

St Cajetan is the patron saint of unemployed and job seekers, and of course good old St. Jude for very difficult cases. Prayers for my DH today to fill him with direction and opportunity.

    lovesmyfamilyso much

you can go to Amazon.. choose mp3 downloads and type in pescador du hombres.

there are 24 downloads available.. and you can preview each one.  (about 99 cents)

you can also download a player that will convert youtube to mp3s but the quality is not so good.

I don't know too much about that song.. just that most Mexican parishes sing it often.

Apple, Nancy, Jacqueline, LMFSM, Jeannine, Laura, Tarry -

Thanks so much, I feel so blessed to have a prayer circle here that I have soooo much faith in.

I did not sleep well, woke up in the middle of the night with chest pains ( I know I know it is just stress). My 6 year old came in this morning and was reviewing the 14 stations of the cross  and reminded myself again that I am blessed and God is working here.

I am putting my total confidence in prayer here and appreciate you including my family right now!

MMM, I just moved you up to the top of my prayer list. I never understood this line when I was growing up,or when I'm going through a trying time, but my Mom always said God will provide. I'm just praying that he will be with you and your family at this time.

Hello dear friends!  I have not been here since my trip to Steubenville to have Adoration with Anne....but I wrote all your names down for all your intentions...and even with the sickness and unemployment and stress...I know God hears all our prayers!  I was very blessed to have not only attended Adoration but I had an opportunity to have Anne and Fr. Darragh the Apostolate Chaplain pray over me.  All the while they were, I was going through all my intentions....so you were all there with me!

I also went to Steubenville U for 2 liturgies. It is so great to see so many young Catholics praying and attending Mass! They sing, they pray, they do the rosary....just beautiful!  They also have a separate Adoration Chapel that we visited...so lovely.  If you ever have a chance to visit this University, do so!  And they have a great book shop!  Wink  (BTW All of Anne's books are on sale there, too!).

So.....I am getting involved in a great Pro-life activity that is happening in NYC in a week or two.  Will share more later, but prayers are needed as I try to find housing for 7 men and women coming from all over to talk about why abortion is always wrong.  Each of them was conceived by a rape....that is an issue that many people get stumped on when thinking through this issue.....well...if you talk to someone who was born from that....it might help you to see through the pain and recognize that no matter how hard man will try to do evil...God can bring goodness out of it!  If you are interested in more on this issue go to  www.rebeccakeissling.com. The stories there are so powerful....

    Welcome Tarry and Pure!

Apple....prayers for baby bro and his family this weekend!  (Maybe his ex will have an epiphany...)

mmm5...I am in medical sales, too. I was out for more than a year....but that was because of the cancer.  There are jobs out there...don't lose hope!!

    Jeanine...PARP, PARP, PARP!!

    Tweety....NED, NED, NED YEAH!!!

Laura....I see  I am in good company seeing this as all gift....

Hugs to all my sisters...God Bless!

Oh....I gave up wine!  That is tough for this Irish girl!  Laughing

Well, I made it to Mass this morning...first time since my surgery three weeks ago. Had my usual seat, and the priest with the good homilies and delivery.

It's a shame that our pastor has such poor public speaking skills. I've tried to listen to his homilies but it's just so hard! He'd be great to listen to if you have insomnia, lol. He has a soft voice that is pretty monotone. He came out after the homily to make a special announcement and while I understood what it was about, I lost a lot of the points he was trying to make because all his words ran together.

    OK, praying for understanding.

    Good Afternoon ladies-

Just came from mass and I felt sooo happy to be there and so blessed even during such a stressful time for our family. My DH is very depressed and could not go to mass today, which is odd for him. My 3 boys went with me and it was just wonderful to be there and feel healthy and be able to enjoy it without worrying about bc for a day. I want to thank you for all of your prayers....yesterday was tough and I just came back here over and over againg and read your words! I am spending each week day in adoration as part of my lenten observation and I want you to know I am praying hard for all of your intentions ...I mention all of your needs and I know they are being heard.

I pray today to St. Jude, Agatha, and Peregrine for a healing for Jeannine, Nancy's sister, Apple's brother, and Cathy S. Also special angels please bless Natalia and help her with a miracle ( she is the little girl from St. Judes, brain cancer).

I pray to our Blessed Mother for all of your intentions here and thank her for answering our prayers.

I pray to St. Cajetan for my DH's strengh in pursuing and obtaining meaningful work.

Thank you again ladies for your support it is definitely needed right now....I pray with complete faith.

    mmm5,

Anne has written 3 books which are wonderful to read...so helpful, joy filled and are available to  purchase on the site (Climbing the Mountain which speaks about the way to personal holiness, Mist of Mercy which talks of her experiences of purgatory as she saw it and Serving with Clarity, which is written to help those who struggle for personal holiness). Each of them is pure gift....but her "booklets" and "volumes" speak to the core of many issues we are facing today, and they are available to download for free from the website.  They are priceless!  I hope you avail yourself of them....you will find great comfort in these words.

Prayers to St. Peregrine, St. Agatha, St. Jude and St. Cajetan for all my BCO sister's intentions.

    God Bless!

Apple-yes I am Catholic:) Infact my daughter is preparing for First Communion this year. I am so excited for her.

MMM5-Yes, I have appreciated all of your responses to my posts.Actually, one of my very first posts was "Can I survive this" and you wrote back about your Aunts, etc that were diagnosed. That was so encouraging. Sorry to hear about your husband. Can you afford to take on Cobra? I know for us it was so crazy expensive... I have played the insurance game for most of my life between my husbands cancer and now mine.

    Jeannie-What is PARP study?
