    Saint just called me.

    She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night & is still there.

    I gasped.

    I figured that she was just having a lovely visit with her youngest sister, there from FL.

    She said that she's really "been out of it" till this evening.

    Just as she was catching me up, her doctor walked in -- so the conversation was very short.

    ****She did manage to let me know that her DH had arrived with today's shower of mail and she said that there were about 40 cards in today's pile. AND an exquisite floral delivery.

    Saint just called back.

    She has just received the news that she now has mets to her liver. These are in addition to mets in her lungs, bones and eyes.

    She reports not being suprised by the news, as there was an inkling in her previous scan..... now they have been confirmed. She was matter-of-fact. She said that she doubts ever being able to post here 'independantly' without my help, so it was acceptable to her to have me keep you all in the loop.

    She knows that she's not ready to head home yet -- so she will awake on her birthday in the hospital -- at the very least and may need to spend the day.

    She has an appointment with her onc at the end of the week for the design of a plan.

    She told about a big envelope of children's cards from AZ that were really a hoot, from a class of non-English speaking kindergartners.

    If anyone is still willing to send a card, please PM me for the address.

    thank you for the update faith.

    my brother has had relatively good news.  his lymphoma, a non-Hodgkins, tho stage III, is slow growing and treatable... we kind of know what that means.

    prayers again for all.

    Oh Faith...so sad to hear the latest on Saint and that she'll be in the hospital on her birthday...I was praying it would be a good day for her.  She's in my prayers.  Nice to hear the birthday cards are flowing in for her though.

    Apple...praying for the best results for you...that your scan will come back clear and NED.

    St. Peregrine, thank you for your intercessory prayers on behalf of all cancer patients.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen

    Special prayers to help apple's bro in his treatment. And that her scans just show scar tissue.

    Good Wednesday morning all, I jut want to say that I did make it to Mass last nite and I feel so good.  I prayed for all of my sisters on the board, who are going through trying times. Apple I hope you get good results and Faith any news on Saint? 

    Ladies have a great day and try to stay positive.  I'm telling myelf  that today is going to be  a good good day!!!!!

    Hello, ladies!  I've come to ask your help - at Laura's suggestion.  I haven't been on here in awhile......

    I'd like to ask you to pray for my dear friend.  She has been at my side since my dx - taking me to appts, sitting with me, even stripping my drains.  She has very cystic breasts, so is followed pretty closely by a bs....Well, she found a fairly large lump the other day.  She had the sonogram, and they recommended biopsy - which is tomorrow.  Will you please pray for her and the doctor - and that the report is good.....She's a very stoic sould, but I just can't bear the throught that she'd have to endure garbage we've been through.....She's Catholic, too, btw.....

    I have been Diagnosis was on Tues 3-9-2010 at 4:05pm.  I know I came to the right page for inspiration.  I will be praying for all of you and taking in all the positive thoughts, words of wisdom, and prayers that I have been reading on this page.  Thank you for sharing.....

    My name is Laura. I was DX  almost two years ago. I KNOW where you are now. Sister... tell us a little about you and your diagnosis. We are here for you. I am sorry you had to join this breast cancer group.  I started this thread to just get the info out there about St. Peregrine. I asked him to pray for me while I was in chemo. I was on my knees every morning. Thanking God, asking our Father, BEGGING our Father to heal me, and praying the Novena to St. Peregrine. he had this horrid disease too.

    I read a scripture, ON THIS SITE ( BCO) that held my hand daily... and I share it with many now.... Now that  have faith....

    I share it with you now.... and anyone needing it...

    Mark: 11:26

    " Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask for when you pray, BELIEVE that you receive them, and you will have them."

    I personally have asked for many things.. and not gotten them.

    BUT... I HATE to admit this...but in the "back of my head" I still did not believe 110% that the Lord would give me what I asked for.

    When I got DX.. and I had 6 months at home during chemo... I was scared!  Yes I was. BUT...  I prayed.. in a different way than I ever have... I felt so different.

    I trusted Him.

    I NEVER thought the prayers were in vane. I felt HIM touching my breast and nodes in healing while I anointed myself with Oil and water. I held Holy Water and Oil on the cancer breast and nodes daily and prayed for myself. I asked for prayer ( and got it)...and I never felt that our Lord was Not going to heal me.

    girl... let God help you in every way.... and whatever you need here... ask US!

    I am SO not perfect...LOL... not the best Catholic... ( sorry to say).. but I LOVE LOVE LOVE our Father and trust Him more now.. that ever!

    Val....Prayers for your friend. I hope you don't need to reiprocate her support to you back to her....but if you did....how comforting that would be for her.  Hopefully she won't need it...

    Welcome Revolk...you are now included in all the intercessory prayers that each of us pray daily for our sisters on this thread. This is VERY powerful!!

    Estepp...so true! We often ask for everything we feel we need and desire....but we have a human perspective, not the cosmic one! How often have we seen good things, even wonderful things come from some difficult situation that we had wished would just go away?

    We need to call on God, His Son, our Blessed Mother and all the angels and saints for assistance...and then we need to TRUST!  God knows what is best for us...after our time in prayer we need to let go of trying to control our lives...and put it all in our Father's hands!

    So true, Angel, about the wonderful things that come from difficult situations like bc.  I can't begin to count the blessings that have come my way in the last year.  God does know what's best for us...sometimes it's just hard to see it....and let go.....

    Morning Dear Sisters; Just thought I would stop by to let you know I do check in frequently and I never forget to pray for some of the special intentions on this board. I am asking you all to pray for my Sister-in-law Candy, she is truly a sister to me. I have been married to her brother for 42 years and she was his little sister, she is 52 years old and has lung cancer. She has had it for 3 years but it is now stage 4 and she is about to undergo some tough treatments. I've been asking that God gives her peace and assurance of His presence during this time of great suffering in both her body and mind. She has not practiced her faith in years and chooses not to go to church, I keep telling her to visit the Adoration Chapel not far from where she lives and just go sit before the Blessed Sacrament and I pray that some day she makes that visit. That place, to me, has become my "Secret Place of The Most High". I visit often and find such peace there.

    Michele, I am still here for you. Apple keeping your brother in prayer. Estepp, you are such a blessing to all of us. Revoke, welcome. Angel thank you for "Direction for Our Times" and your quest for saving souls. Prayers, for dear Saint. So many ladies on this board devoted to praying for each other. GOD IS THE ONLY ANSWER TO THIS MADNESS, MAY HE HAVE MERCY ON US.

    Prayers for Candy.  my brother appreciates your prayers.  He is such a good Catholic and has told me that he includes all of us in his prayers and devotions.

    Good Morning all!!

    Oh NJones so happy to see you it just fills my heart with joy when you post! I immediately included Candy in my daily prayer time today to St. Peregrine, Agatha, and Jude.(as well as Saint, Jeannine, Cathy S. Natalia, Barbara and Apple's Brother.)  I continue with Adoration daily, not doing as well with the sugar but there is always tomorrow :)  :)!

     Today I requested addional healing for all of us dealing with the anxiety of cancer, and the aftermath, the releasing of fear, doubt and control. So many of you have been so patient and kind in modeling these lessons and I continue to take much from your posts. So all have been included in this devotional (laura, lmfsm,Jacqueline,hood, pure, apple, nancy, plainjane,angel,Njones,candie,janathan, tary,and newcomers) I will be praying this devotional daily for the remainder of lent to our Blessed Mother and St. Agatha who inspire us to overcome adversity and grow and strengthen in our journeys.

    Please if you have any extra prayer time please remember my DH in your prayers this week, he is really so close on many opportunities and he is pursueing with such spirituality it makes me proud. I have completely let go of this problem and am letting God handle it and I just feel soooo confident with prayer and release good things are around the corner.
