lovemyfamily....
Just responding to your posting....the question I would have for you is, what do YOU think? Personally, I think we are in a special time, that God is doing everything he can to reach out to us, and to let us know He really exists. I don't think fear or anxiety is the goal, but understanding His passion and what He went through for us is absolutely necessary for a Christian to understand the gift He has given us. We need to combine our suffering with His....stripes and all... in order to save souls and bring about His will. I have made so much sense out of my BC by understanding what I needed to do with my suffering. It was NOT all for naught!! He can use it if we offer it up!
Perhaps you were given a gift to open your eyes to another way of meditating on the gift of His life and death. Do you feel closer to Him after this experience? Frightened? In awe? You will know if the Spirit is truthful by its fruits. Discernment is always necessary with these things. Keep yourself open to the possibilty He is reaching out to you....but be careful not too make it something it is not.
I have been blessed to see the phenomena of the spinning sun, stigmatists, and meet modern day locutionists. But I also am quite aware that there are many who would like to make a mockery of our faith and make it something it is not....something self centered....even evil. Discern the fruits of what you saw....and go from there.
God is good...God is merciful!
And God Bless!

Day 6 - Novena for Special Intentions and Intercesstion
We pray to St. Perergine, St. Agatha, and St. Lucy to intercede for our special intentions with Our Heavenly Father; for all on this support board who have been touched by breast cancer. May those who are in pain find comfort. May those who are worried find peace of mind. May we all live to see the day a cure is found.
And we pray in thanks for answers to our petitions. Our most Heavenly Father is wonderful and good.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

More surgery yesterday, my "healthy" breast needed two excisions for atypia and had AXLD on right side. Now waiting for results...but the important thing is...
I read Angel10's May 24 post and I do believe God is doing everything he can to reach out to us. I'm so grateful to have the gift of faith. I too have made some sense of my BC by understanding what I need to do with my suffering. I definitely feel closer to Him after this experience.
I appreciate a place here where I feel this is understood by others. Thank you for your prayers and posts and for reading thoughts I've had on my journey.
Yahoo! God bless you all and have a great day!!

My mother broke to vertebrates in her back about two weeks ago. She is in agony pain. She is the strongest person I know. She lives in agony most days, she is on oxygen 24/7 etc.... and only 66. Can you pray for a MIRACLE for her.

Hi how are you?? I am adding you Mother to my Novenas, I started one yesterday to Our Lady of Fatima, and to Our Lady of Lourdes, I will be doing this Novena 2 weeks straight. Please add any other intentions, ladies for those that are in need.
Most Holy VIrgin, who hast deigned to come to Fatima to reveal the treasures of graces hidden in the recitation of the Rosary, inspire our hearts with a sincere love of this devotion that meditating on the Mysteries of our Redemption recalled therein, we may obtain our special requests, which we ask of you in this Novena, for the greater glory of God, for your own honor, and for the good of souls. AMEN, OUr Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, Pray for us!
For Laura's Mother, Candy, Nashwa, Jeannine,Beanius, and any other intentions of the ladies on this thread. I will be doing the rosary with my children each day during these 2 weeks for your intentions. School is OUT ......Yeah!

apple, lovemyfamilysomuch - thank you for the welcome and for your prayers, much needed and appreciated!!!
NancyD - thank you so much for the Novena, it has been so nice to check in each day and read your posts. Have a wonderful weekend.
Angel10 - thank you for wishing me luck, I really need it this time. If I have cancer in my left breast too that will be a real bummer. Oh, well, just means more treatment, suffering, you know the story...I'm really learning to smile and cry at the same time because no matter how bad or sad I feel and how many tears, I still can count sooooooo many blessings that make me smile. That said, I really wish I hadn't come up with bc. I wish none of us had.
Estepp - thank you for the (PM) welcome and for the hugs. I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother and I will pray for her.
jenweg - thank you for the hug, much needed and appreciated. Good luck with your chemo on Wednesday. I will be starting some kind of chemo sometime in June also, I think. I believe I'll have a full picture of the extent my bc problem fairly soon. I never thought I'd look so forward to starting chemo, but I'm viewing it as a positive thing that will help me and I want to get it in the past! I know I'll be scared to start. I will be thinking of you as you get ready for this and I hope it goes smoothly.
mmm5 - thank you for adding me, hope you enjoy the end of school.
Have a wonderful weekend all and thank you! My prayers are with you!
Beanie

Laura, I will dedicate my weekend prayers and Sunday Mass to your mother. No reason to wait when someone is in such pain.

when you meet an orphan, treat him as your own child, and give comfort to the troubled and care to the sick. Never refuse any who asks for help, if your pockets are empty, give them hope...your every action must be born of kindness and every word spoken with love. Live as God would have you to live, and by your ex...ample, others will be inspired to do the same... (Our Lady of Kibeho said). Immaculee

Welcome Beanie! I pray your pathology results come back good, and best of luck with your upcoming chemo. ((HUG))
Jenwig - You are in my prayers as you go through chemo...and I pray you stay healthy and cancer free!!
Laura - Such sad news about your mother. I can only imagine the agony she must be going through. I will pray for her healing. We have an elderly friend who also recently broke a couple vertebrae in her back She had a what's called a vertebroplasty two days ago where they injected cement into her vertebrae to help stabilize them. It was an outpatient procedure, and she says she feels much better already although is still in some pain at this point. I pray something can be done to ease your mother's pain. Hugs to you and your mother!
Angel - Going through BC has definitely brought me closer to God, my Catholic faith, and the understanding of His love and sacrifice for us. Sure, this BC process has caused much anxiety...but on the other hand I have felt the Lord's presence more than ever through it all, and He has brought me more comfort than I ever imagined. Many have told me I have been so strong and such an inspiration to them, but I hope I have reflected that it is our Lord who has carried and inspired me, and I truly believe I'm a better Christian and person for having gone through BC.
Nancy - Thank you for your Novenas!
My prayers are also with those who have died for our country and for our friends and loved ones who we are remembering on the Memorial Day Weekend.
I've got a bad sore throat and head cold, and we have our 4-year-old grandson for the weekend. He's such a love...I just hope he doesn't get sick.
Blessings of peace, comfort, happiness, and good health to you all.
~Jan

Janathan - Thank you for the welcome, you make me smile. Thanks also for your Memorial Day words of rememberance to those who have sacrified all for us. I hope you will get over that cold soon and enjoy your grandson.
Estepp - thanks again so so so very much for information on St. Peregrine. This has meant so much to me and I'm eternally grateful.
Good news on the AXLD side, they took 15 more nodes with no cancer, so I'm 2/21 altogether with the SNB. The other side lumpectomies the jury is still out, lots of atypia and "bordering on DCIS." I will know more late next week.
You are all in my prayers. Thanks again for being here.

Estepp.. i'm so sorry to hear about your mother.. that's just awful. We are as busyas can be on the house we're moving to in 3 or 4 weeks. I painted today. I'm an excellent painter because i used to be an artist.. i just know how brushes work and how to work quickly without drips.
Listen to this.. apparently I'm stage IV and have been from the get go. Who'd a thunk? I kind of knew but choose to focus on music so I never read my doctor's reports .. ever. Sounds silly, no?
I talked with my onc. about going back on chemo and she said let's wait a bit.. so I started doing some reading. well, nothing has changed. i feel great.
having faith totally helps us out.
heh

Apple..
I am such a lousy painter....I always end up putting more paint on me than I put on the walls! I admire people who can do that well! So what is up with this Stage IV thing? Doesn't that usually mean they found it elsewhere? If so, where? You are stoic....and you are in my prayers for safe keeping. If there is ANOTHER thing I have learned on these boards....it is that stage IV may stink....but it doesn't say any much more than that! Treatments may change, and thoughts about it may be different, but ultimately, it doesn't speak much to any one individual's outcome. Women with Stage II can be much worse off than a woman with Stage IV. You can't predict it....so hang onto Jesus and His Mother, and you will be in the best care possible!
Bringing all of you and your intentions to Mass this AM....
God Bless!

Apple... This is NOT the news I wanted to here from you.. STAGE 4???????????
Where else was your cancer?? I had mine in breast and nodes... I was stage 3. Where else was your cancer? I am sorry lady!!! KEEP FEELING GOOD.. OK.
Thank you girls for praying for my mom! Poor thing. Dad put her in the hospital yesterday. She was just NUTS on the meds and would not eat. She is a mess right now, and it hurts... my heart. She is only 66 and before retirement.. she was a very HIGH Powered chic. She was a grade 16 in the Gov. It is unbelievable to see her this way.
I will over us ALL up to the Lord at Mass this morning. We need so many prayers.
A SISTER ON BCO needs some major prayers too. I will not give up her story or privacy ( not my place) but she NEEDS prayer for her special intention.
Love,
Laura
