    Sheila,

Welcome back...just included you in our Friday night prayers. Sounds like there was some nice Divine Intervention with your cabin mate.  So nice to "see" you again. Looking forwards to your posts!

    Namaste!

I'm sorry I could not make the 10 pm prayer.  I came here this morning and prayed for all of you using the prayers you said last night that are posted.

Even though I was not here last night my spirit was with you all.

    Have a blessed day!

    Hello Everyone,

I am East Coast (Atlantic City area) and will take Friday night at 9 PM while I am sitting in my grandson's room (he needs me to sit by him till he falls asleep - gets scared by himself).

Jeannine and everyone else facing hard things, I will keep you in my prayers.  Our children do suffer and it seems so unfair.  When I pray I imagine myself kneeling by Mary with my head in her lap and she soothes me because she understands a mother's grief. I believe she hears me and that is very comforting.

    Love to all,

    Pat

    Hi Pat,

I like the imagery of laying your head in Mary's lap. I do not have children, but I have been a daughter who watched her mother pass from Pancreatic Cancer 6 years ago. There are so many times I wish I could have that feeling back of having my mother here with me. Especially as I go through this. My father is disabled, and I cannot even get to him to see him. We worry about each other over the miles between us. I think I will try laying my head in Mary's lap.

    Pat,

I imagine the same thing about our Mother Mary.  My mom too, passed away many years ago.  How I long to hear her sweet voice telling me that she loves me, rubbing my back and telling me that things will get better.

When I say my rosary I think of being in front of her...talking to her as though she is just another friend that I am telling things too. She is happy that I am there and she reaches out to me as I know any of our mothers would.

Peace and prayers for us all,

    Tori

Your post brings good memories of the comfort mothers bring to us.  I saw your post in the power of prayer, how are you feeling?

Good evening sisters, I've been out of commission for over a week!  DH and I took a trip up to NJ on Saturday and came home on Sunday and it just took the life out of me.  I had to go back to work on Monday and just dragged.  Just a very bummer week.  Then DH gets sick with a cold and now I'm feeling it coming.  This is such a wonderful and active group, I think about you and pray for you even when I can't log in.

Even though my doctor put me on new vitamins and such, I'm still dragging.  I've been told too that it takes a good couple of years to overcome, but like you all, I feel much older than my age.  Anything out of routine tends to exhaust me.  I'll be glad when I no longer have to take tamoxifen.

I'll try to be part of the prayer group on Friday.  I attended the first one but was knocked off by Verizon and was so tired that I gave up. :-(

God's peace to you all. -Theresa

    Theresa!

I am sorry to hear it has been such a hard week. Was this the first week of work for you?  I still am unable to do full time work, I hit a wall, then slide down it to the floor ( I'm sure you get the idea.) I had Rads but no tamoxin, and I have certainly read enough to know this is not an easy medication to take. I am happy to see you here however :) Please take good care of yourself, and praying for God's healing for you and yours.

    Hi Traci ---

I've been working full time all along.  I just took some days off for surgery, radiation and chemo.  But it seems anything out of the ordinary, like a quick trip to Jersey, is enough to knock me off my block!   I was hoping the vitamins would set me straight.  I just started taking the Effexor this weekend, so maybe that will help.

I'm sorry about your work situation.  Was it the chemo that gave you the wall?

Thanks for your prayers for healing.  I hope I don't get the nasty cold!!!!  As if I'm not tired enough! :-)

    God bless and good night.

    Hello sistas,

Pat, I like that imagery of you laying on Mother Mary's lap.  I will try that too when I pray.

And the rest of you ladies, Traci, Tori, JanetinVA ~ I do share the same feelings as I also cannot share my worries with my mom.

Theresa and all of us in this group, I'm praying every morning and I will also ask that we all have good energy throughout the day, each and every day! Amen!

When I left there was the discussion of a common prayer time. What if've seen is 10pm. Is there a common prayer?

I thought I was coming out of the cloud. It isn't so, My cruise mate and I prayed together everynite. Gods guiding hand sent her to me. ANd when I said at one point I just give up and want to be alone. She said "Sheila thats not going to happen". She stuck like glue. Bless her. Prayers of blessings for Pat D. We talked extensively about loss and how she overcame it. And all that goes with it.

I felt so priveleged at the time of Greg's death to be able to say the 7 Hail Marys, and Our father that my cousin with BC who died + -7 mpnths ago with her novena. When I talked with her for the last time, I said --to often I would fall asleep before they were done. Here she was dying and she comforted me by saying--our guardian angels will finish them.

Namaste--I SALUTE the GOD within YOU ---ALL L&H Sheila

    Hi sisters~

I am having parties this weekend for my son who turned 20 today. I have not been keeping up with BCO much...

I am working much next week.. and then the TATA SISTERHOOD is taking off to Vegas...:)

I will be missing in action A LOT over the next two weeks.

I PERSONALLY am continuing my prayers for us at 3pm.

If anyone needs ANYTHING from me... a pray.. a hug... anything... I WILL BE CHECKING MY PM's over the next few weeks... just not always reading the threads....

OUR FOUNDER HERE on BCO, Dr. Marcia Weiss... was DX with BC in APRIL of this year... she is just now posting this too us here on BCO>

PLEASE add her to our prayers. if she had not started this organization... we all would not have had the VAST amount of education  and sistership.

I lady named JUDY LETECKIE will be getting a biopsy on Monday to see if she indeed, has BC. PLEASE pray for her.... she is a VERY kind woman.. full of caring and love for others...

    THANK YOU !

    Traci-

Hey thanks for asking.  I seem to hanging in there although today is only day 2 and I know that most SEs start to hit 3-7 days after first infusion.

I'm trying to keep my positive spirit up right now, as it soon may start to diminish the worse I start to feel.

At any rate, I know it's temporary, so that will get me through.  (along with some added prayers)

    Sleep well tonight my sistas!

Peace, hugs and prayers for us all,

    Tori

    Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can share prayers/readings/psalms/New Testament passages related to the theme and lesson of gratitude? It would be greatly appreciated, and I will post an Angel story today.  Hope all are well, and recovering from surgeries, need for antibiotics, lymphedema, and enjoying the day.

    Many Blessings,

    Traci, I found this...

"Bless God and acknowledge him in the presence of all the living for the good things he has done for you.  Bless and sing praise to his name.  With fitting honour declare to all people the deeds of God. Do not be slow to acknowledge him.    Tobit 12:6

[I will have limited internet access today becasue DH has to pull wire into the room, I pray that he will do it smoothly]

    1 Thessalonians
    Chapter 5

15  See that no one returns evil for evil; rather, always seek what is good (both) for each other and for all.

    16  Rejoice always.

    17  Pray without ceasing.

18  In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

Praise the bridge that carried you over.  ~George Colman

    Theresa,

Thank you too.  I want to remember the blessings, sometimes hidden, sometimes forgotten we face in this journey.  There is much to be thankful for, and much to be positive about.

I will share an Angel story to share the joy of Divine Intervention:

This is entitled, Callers in the Night, from True Stories of Heavenly Visitors, Where Angels Walk by Joan Wester Anderson

Angels do many things for us, but one of their primary jobs is to bring help, just when we need it most.  I read of an incident involving a Philadelphia neurologist, Dr. S. W. Mitchell, who was awakened after a tiring day by a little girl knocking on his door.  The child, poorly dressed and deeply upset, told him that her mother was sick and needed a physician.

Dr. Mitchell followed the child through the snowy night and found the mother desperately ill with pneumonia. After arranging for medical care, he complimented the sick woman on the intelligence and persistence of her daughter.  The woman looked at him strangely, and then said, "My daughter died a month ago."

Dr. Mitchell, amazed and perplexed, went to the closet and opened the door.  There hung the coat worn by the little girl who had led him to her mother.  Despite the wintry night, the coat was completely dry.

Our Blessed Mother is always there for us!  She wants us to turn to her and she will protect us as her precious children.  Here is a quote from Immaculee. xo

Our Lady also said that we should always remember that we all have a MOTHER who loves us very much. She reminded us not to discriminate anyone, not to look at religions, to love one another as She loves us. She wants us to share with Her our worries and needs... and She thanked us... for trusting HER (Her simplicity bring tears in my eyes...)! Immaculee.

Edit:  Don't know why the print is so big!

Hello sisters in Christ.   Peace be with you.

Thanks for the inspirations Traci, Diamond Girl & Theresa!  I love the angel story and will have to look for that book.  So many times in my life little (and big) things have happened that there is no other explanation other than my guardian angel.

Lord, thank you for this new week you have given us.  Send us courage to face whatever trials are ahead, joy for the good days, and faith to know you are with us.

I love the angel story too.  I read from a book sometime ago that we should give our own angel a name.  Let me introduce my angel to this group :)

    The name is Leslie ~

lovely Leslie :)  Hum, I am going to noodle on it overnight, and that's a great idea.

PS, are you healing any better Paula?

JanetinVa, I am thinking of you this week.  The 30th, right?  How are you doing with getting ready?

Jan, I see you are making good stride (saw your post in another thread) keep it up Sister!

    lovemyfamily,

I am going to write down your beautiful quote.  Sometimes I need a mother figure so much...so I will turn to Our Blessed Mother.  I think the print is large so those who needed to see it (ahem) would.

Tori girl, I hope you are hanging in there. Thinking of you.

    Goodnight Dear Ladies.

Good morning all.  Please pray for me tomorrow (Tues) for no complications in mastectomy surgery, clear nodes, and for my family.  SNB is at 8am and surgery at 9:30am.  Yikes!  Right now it just feels very unreal.  I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be but it's still scary.  Thank you so much for your love, support & prayers.

Traci - my original date was 9/30 but they later moved it up to 9/28 (OR scheduling issue).  I'll post as soon as I'm able!

    Janet:

You will do just fine!  I had my surgery a week ago today.  I will pray for clear nodes and for you and your family.

Know this: God will hold your hand as you go to surgery and He will be with you throughout!

    God Bless!
