They changed up some of the classes at my gym, so Monday night is Dance Attack, which has a fun more hip hop vib. I was going to go to yoga but when I came out we were getting some of Karen's snow and wind so I opted to go home and do a pilates DVD instead. I'm watching the beautiful Olympic ice dancers now.

Walking is good, moth. Give yourself permission to slow the rest of it down.

ruthbro, I am thinking of changing. My treadmill is so easy for me to do but I think my body gets used to it and I don't burn as many calories.

Tried Zumba for the first time and really enjoyed it. I think after a few more classes I'll catch on better. Was good workout and loved the music. Still being told to avoid weights, don't want to engage pec muscle, just stretching

I've been following the same daily regimen which is 10,000 steps a day. I've continued using the elliptical on a daily basis as well. I'm still at level 2, but I feel it is still helping me. There are days that I eat more than I burn off. The good thing is that my weight is being maintained on those days. Adding exercise for weight loss has really helped a lot.

I also added another Fitbit tracker this week. I'm now the happy owner of the Fitbit Blaze. It definitely has more features than my Fitbit Flex 2. I switch between the 2 trackers. I just use the Flex 2 for heavier activity.

Moth - I totally feel for you on the steroid crash. Your energy will come back in a few days. It's great that you're walking through it. I didn't do that, and I kind of wish I had. Make sure you're drinking lots of water too.

Honestly, it's hard to keep up with all of you. I've decided to just keep my daily regimen. I'll just keep pushing myself on the elliptical (and walking in between), since it seems to be working for me. It gets harder fro me to walk every hour. Especially during office hours. But, I try.

yesterday I walked around the cul-de-sac (with my walker, almost ready to give it up)...but when I went in for my first post knee replacement PT, the therapist chided me a bit, saying I might have overdone it a bit ( and now I am paying for it with more than a little pain...). So, she recommended rest today and more PT exercises tomorrow.

It was below zero when I left for work this morning. DH and I walked before dinner, but no walk after dinner as I fell asleep. Just shy of 10K. A heat wave the next couple of days high in the low 30s but snow is back in the forecast for TH and F. Hoping tomorrow is a better walking day. Struggling to keep my weight where I want it to be - its only a few pounds, but don't like it!!

I just want to say how much I admire all of you girls who work out when the temperatures drop. Yesterday our weather completely changed wind and really cold so I couldn't be asked to go out to the gym, tonight wasn't much better but I braved the cold temperatures and went to Body Pump.

Lovely 1 mile walk with dogs and BF after work. Glad we got out, as it looks like several days of cold & rain ahead. Time to face the stationery bike in our basement 🙁

Falconer: Good luck with your PS appointment. During my DIEP stage 2 he cleaned up the reconstructed side and did a reduction on my unaffected breast. Not that I was that big but it was good to get more breast tissue out of me.

Octo: Hope you had a good rest day today for your knee.

Hi All! Our weather is completely different from many of yours. It was 72 degrees today with clouds and will be in the 70s for several more days. I walked/ran at the park today in short sleeves.

Because the weather is going to be warm, dh and I decided now is the time to paint our den and areas in the kitchen. They have yucky paneling now so we have our work cut out for us. Tonight we taped the walls, doors, and windows. Tomorrow the painting begins!

Falconer, hope it all goes well. Ruth, like those squats. I'm with you Cheryl on admiring our cold weather workout women. Wonderland, smooth going today on painting - good upper body stretch. Had a wonderful Pink Pilates at our evening class we did tai chi and qigong at the end and they loved. I'm not at my tai chi class with my sort of master as I'm waiting for the Hotpoint dryer fix-it person to arrive in the window of 8-11am. Going to read my yoga books. Pilates & BB later.

Wonderland...never heard anyone refer to a lift/reduction of the unaffected breast as "getting more breast tissue out of me" ...as in decreasing the possible risk of an event on that side. Something to think about for me. I still haven't done anything to the R and it is clearly not symmetric. But have resisted doing surgery on my "good breast" -- why have the risk of surgery??? but this is a different perspective. Need to downsize the L, implant too large, perhaps next summer...so much to think about.

Half way through the week, slow yin on Monday and basic yoga yesterday. Exercise today is walking, including a 2 mile roundtrip walk to church this evening for Wednesday Lent service. Going to be in mid-70's in southern Virginia today...so can't complain. TT

Someone in my family 'walks me' - just like our dogs - lol - every day so far except treatment day. I'm still really slow and tired and every bone and muscle hurts. My fitbit pace is ridiculously slow; but I kept moving one foot in front of the other and did a 28 min walk yesterday (1.6 km).

Once in a while I stomp and say 'die, cancer cells!' and remind myself the study about the single best lifestyle modification which prevents recurrence is exercise. I think I wouldn't get off the couch otherwise....

I had to post this. I just did my 1hr 3.5 mile treadmill came home and saw this yahoo article.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/alcohol-more-important-...

I would love to have a glass of wine but 200 to 300 calories bites into my weight loss progress. I lost one more pound so excited.

Oh Heidi, I love Paris too! I've only been there 4 times, and I still feel like I haven't seen everything that this beautiful city has to offer. I want to go back.

    Great job, fit ladies!

Octo, glad you're getting out and about.

Wonder, you are so talented I'm sure that room will look great!

Lilac, what yoga books are you reading? Do you have a favorite to recommend

Good visit to the PS today. Will have the stage two corrections and nipple made. He's going to take the tummy scar lower so that I can still wear a two piece at the beach. Feel pretty good about that; think I need to take a tropical vacation next winter once I'm all healed up!

    Happy

I went to Dance Attack last night, Pound and Bone Builders this morning. Now......I have to pack. Early tomorrow morning (5:00 am) three friends & I are flying into West Palm Beach to meet up with our condo-owning friend for a Girls Week. We four started teaching together in 1975 and have remained friends ever since. We all live in different places so it will be fun to catch up. None of them has been bitten by the Exercise Bug, so it will be pretty low key, which is fine as long as I get to walk on the beach for an hour every morning!!!!! I'll post some pictures for my cold frozen northern friends!

Ruth, you are so fortunate to have such a great retirement! I'm sure it's because of your amazing spirit. I'm watching the snow/sleet/freezing rain as I grade papers on the couch, dreaming of the day I can retire!
