2FUN, specialist bc classes are wonderful so good on signing up and giving yoga a go. I like going on vacation with you Ruth as you & co do fun, interesting things. HeidiHill, are you still in Paris?
Snowed all night, looks to be about 4 inches when i took the dog out to pee. No plowed roads in our village yet, so I've cancelled my village hall, 10:30am Move it Or Lose It class, called all 4 ladies who attend and let them know. Got a email from an instructor who can't get out of her village to get into town asking for BB cover and no can do. Husband flew to Kansas City yesterday and in the US all week, so I'm home with bf dog Roo, holding the fort. Wondering if I should cancel Pink Ribbon Pilates tonight. Sitting tight at the moment drinking coffee, watching the snow fall.

lilacblue, beautiful scene. I forgot where u are, in the UK, right?

Yup 2FUN, in the hinterlands of Kent, between Canterbury & Ashford.. Before that, 9 years in Paris, where I met my english husband. I've cancelled Pink Pilates as most drive in on the M20 from the white cliffs of Dover way and not worth it in this ongoing poor weather.

Enjoy your Snow Day, Lilac. 2Fun, it took me two YEARS after I was done with 'active treatment' before I felt 100%. Keep moving and it will come. We're going on a boat tour today. For now, another beach picture. Here's where I always go in my mild when I mediate:

lilac, my good friend is in Kent. Hoping to visit.her one day!
Ruth, thanks for the encouragement an the beautiful photos
Heidihill, the salsa sounds fun. Good music makes exercise so much easier
Meow13, great job on the consistent treadmill miles!
Just got out of 90 min gentle yoga. And it was still hard!
Read an interesting article (I think it was in the American PT Association oncology section journal) result was that strength training(weights or resistance bands) and interval training (this study used bike intervals) were most useful to help return to strength after cancer treatment. FYI
Have a good night. Heading to lecture tomorrow night re the cardiac side effects of cancer treatment. Wi'll be good, but I'm sure depressing too!
Keep moving everyone, a little bit or a lot!❤

2Fun, I'm happy to read your latest post. You sound quite positive! I'm still "training" for that Earth Day 5k up in Baldwinsville. Today I ran 2.5 miles. Slowly.
Ladies, the photos are lovely. Keep them coming!0 -
falconer, I'm glad your training is going well. I think.the yoga is doing more for my spirit than my body, altho I could barely walk just a bit ago from all the muscles being awakened in my body! Haha

We charted a 46 foot yacht (surprisingly inexpensive) and sailed around the Jupiter Lighthouse and Jupiter Island where lots of rich people have beautiful homes (Bert Reynolds, Tiger Woods, Greg Norman etc.). A beautiful day and very fun afternoon.

Keep 'em guessing Ruth!!! I got a bracing walk in tonight in the sleet!!! But I finally have my car back, and good as new - Claire

Good Clare, on the road again...Ruth, you look happy and fab! HeidiHill, yes and giving birth in a french clinique was quite unique, compared to elsewhere. The mother comes first in France, and you can have daily body wraps to help get one back in shape quick - HA! Go Falconer! 2FUN, love to meet up with you anytime you are in Kent .
Ok, snow is coming down again - was called into teach this morning as my tai chi teacher called off her class, so went in to teach 2 Pilates, 1 this afternoon and BB + Pilates tonight. I'm feeling it a bit worse for wear - coffee please! Need to change and scoot and the wind is picking up. Happy hump day everyone!

Hello!
Just got in from a 4 mile run. A beautiful sunny 30* day today. My feet are soaked as there is a lot of melting on sidewalks. Need to remember to tape up the tops of my running shoes so water doesn't seep in.
I have been MiA recently. Life became a little overwhelming. For months I looked forward to Jan and finishing my active treatment! I quickly found its not as easy as I thought it would. I am moving forward and had a rough few weeks. I am a lucky girl that my hubby is as supportive and understanding as he is. He has been very patient as I struggle.
Lovine all the beautiful vacation pics! Hope everyone is well!

Ruth, you look fabulous. Your post made me wonder if any rich and famous people with secret usernames lurk here. Or are we all teachers? LOL!
Runnermum, welcome back. It is a cyclical compounded process, bc treatment. Be gentle with yourself. I mean, don't be too hard on yourself if you don't feel like you bounced back yet.
I went to yoga class this evening. Now time to put the little one to bed.

Thank you Falconer. That's something I have started to frequently say to myself.... "he gentle with yourself" I usually I go 500 mph. Slowing down and not demanding so much of myself is something new. But good.
Just finished 40 min of yoga. Ready for jammies and a book!

Glad to see you back.runner. it's frustrating at times.....some days you feel better than you have been and you think "I'm finally there"!. Next day you are dog tired and can't move!lol

Runner, I think almost everyone has a post-treatment crash.... you're in a 100% fight mode from the time you are diagnosed.....and when you have survived 'active treatment'...along with the physical recovery, you have the "what the hell just happened here?" psychological stuff going on, and you have to figure out what to do with the whole experience ....at least, that's how it was for me.
Our adventure today was going to the National Navy Seals Museum; which was very, very interesting. If you believe my friend and I completed their obstacle course, I have some ocean front property in North Dakota to sell you!
