Octo - I have a good friend who is a Sante Fe native. IT is a beautiful area. Enjoy your new home and job

Wonderful walk this morning with DH in the first snow of the season. Light powder snow, though it is cold out. I will take a picture of our water fall/rock garden later. We brought my geraniums into the house last night and now trying to figure out to put them.

DD#2 started school today - Calculus, Physics, and Hebrew. She said she was bored today but then added I know it will get harder. The Calculus and Physics are also in Hebrew!!

jo, I am emotional reading about the walk. I'd be a puddle if I was there.

We come to the last day of our wonderful vacation; we start out with a tour of the surrounding area, which included drive through the University of the South and a stop at it's magnificent chapel.

We end the day with a delicious dinner served by Cheryl's friend, and our wonderful host, Suzy. Tomorrow we go back to real life (which will need to include less food and more exercise, for me anyway!).

The Nashville Cats are either home, or on their way there. All except me, I hitched a ride to North Carolina with Wonderland and will spend a week with my sister. We stopped in Asheville for a great lunch with Vargadoll.image

Today I did the 9 minute strength workout I posted sometime back. Tomorrow it's the BS for the six month checkup. Man, I dread follow ups.

We had pleasant enough temps today that a coworker and I were able to go for a 43 minute lunchtime walk. Not too hot, not too cold.

It looks like some beautiful scenery up in the mountains.

My brother-in-law and I walked/jogged the dog 5 miles (he jogs REALLY slow so I was actually able to keep up). DH arrives later today. Here we are enjoying our post-exercise water on their deck.

I haven't checked in here since late August, and I tried to catch up reading but finally gave up, this thread moves so fast. Did look at all of Ruth's posts of us in Nashville, it was fun! I turned 65 when I was down there, how did that happen?? I still look in the mirror and see a much younger version of myself.

Trip to England and Wales in September was phenomenal - had a great time making memories with my 85 year old brother. Part of our trip was to do some genealogical research on our Dad's family, and I actually stumbled upon the grave of our great grandparents in a local cemetery - what a moment! Northern and Western Wales is just beautiful, a good time was had by all.

Before and after our Nashville trip I got to spend time with my sweet little grandson, and we also celebrated my birthday as a family (minus my London son). We did an escape room and then had a fabulous brunch in DC. Now back home again - had an appointment with a new gastro yesterday - I really like him. I've been having terrible GI issues for over a year, with nothing helping, so figured it was time to get a second opinion. He had all sorts of new things to try, so fingers crossed I can get back on track to a more normal life.

Got back Monday night, and no real exercise since then, but have a few months at home to try and get back into a routine of eating well and exercising.

    Good pictures Ruth!

Pat - hopefully you will get some relief with new treatments.

I had a fabulous time in Nashville! It was great to meet Sweetandspecial, Twohobbies, and Pat01 in person. Ruth and I also had the pleasure of meeting Vargadoll in Asheville. I miss everyone already!

Came home to a yard that needed mowing. So today I pushed mowed for 90 minutes and DH also helped. The grass was thick and hard to push through because of all the rain we have had.

Here are a few pictures of some pumpkins I have painted so far.

Wonderland- your pumpkins are works of art. Your designs are stunning. Absolutely beautiful. Halloween and Christmas are my favorite times of the year. I love decorating for the holidays. Unfortunately in Miami our pumpkins do not last very long. I love looking at your pictures.

Wonderland, fantastic pumpkins - amazing! Ruth, loved the photos and the view your sis & dh have is paradise. Enjoyed all the gathering photos and side readings of you where you went, what you saw and ate. Falconer, all moving perfectly forward by bs consult?

I'm on YTT Saturday thru to Friday and have my lesson plan worked out and need to run through it again tonight for timing. Trying to kick a negative narrative via my itty bitty shitty committee in my head-ugh. Have an instructor that I've been covering for who's mother had mouth cancer surgery on Tuesday. So been haviong many extra classes that almost cover the week I'm taking off. Must get on my mat whilst I have enough energy to do so, It's 8:30pm. Oh, tomorrow is wear is pink day for Breast Cancer Now https://breastcancernow.org/, the largest bc charity in the UK that does research. So, my Friday pilates class is wearing it pink and everyone will get a pink wrapped chocolate.

Thanks for the comments about my pumpkins. I really enjoy painting them. Jo, wish I could take credit for the designs - I get ideas from the Internet and then add my twist to them.

Walked/ran today. It was 66 degrees and pure delight!

Hello ladies! Great job on the exercise everyone!

Loved the pics of all you ladies in Nashville and your vacation pics Ruth! Looks wonderful! Jealous of all the amazing trips you ladies are taking!

    Wonderland...your pumpkins are beautiful!

I ran 4 miles yesterday afternoon and attended a breast cancer awareness evening sponsored by my cancer center. They had asked for pics of us for a slide show. I submitted my pic from the finish line of the half marathon I completed last spring after treatment. I told my friends that picture represents the fact I went thru hell last year and but never quit and didn't let cancer stop me.

Had my 1st post treatment Breast MRI yesterday morning. Received the results that everything was normal yesterday afternoon. Appreciated that they called me right away and I didn't have to wait over the weekend. I am receiving a 3D mammo once per year and a MRI once per year. Next mammogram will be in April. Heading out for a quick run soon and will do some strength work this morning. Going out of town this afternoon with my sils for a quick out of town shopping weekend. Have a great weekend ladies!

love the pumpkins, wonderland! Pat, good luck with the new gastro. Wow on your cemetery find! Ruth, gorgeous scenery at your sis'!

Getting lots of fresh Italian seaside air while on holiday. Crossed out supping (stand up paddling) from my bucket list. It's tougher than it looks. May try it again today.

HeidiHill...love supping/paddle boarding! It is hard! We have it at our lake! If you haven't yet try starting out on your knees. Easier to keep your balance. Jealous...too cold in ND to go paddle boarding for a few more months! 😉

lilacblue-love your pic. Runnermum- you inspired me tmonths ago o start training for a half marathon. I'm running 5 and 10K every weekend. Most of my training though is on my treadmill due to the severe heat and humidity here in Miami. I'm looking forward to some cooler wearher. So far 8 1/2 miles has been my Max.

Getting settled here in Northern New Mexico, where it is definitely colder than California! We had our first snow on Monday (only half an inch and it didn't stick long, but it did cover my deck...see photo).

I haven't found a gym with indoor pool near me yet (there is a wonderful public facility with several indoor pools, but sadly it is a good 20 minute drive from my house), so decided i just had to bite the bullet and walk in the morning chill. Put on my thermals, hat and gloves and walked for an hour this am. It was gorgeous!
