Walked around a craft show for an hour (only buying two things; one of which I actually need ) and went to POUND.

Yesterday I spent the day walking door to door to ask people to vote...and all of you, please vote too!
Today hubby and I took a nice, long hike in the hills just above Santa Fe. There is a beautiful trail system here!

Not doing anywhere near what I need. Also been out doing election "stuff". Like octogirl, hope you all vote.
Few more days and I should then be able to get back to some sort of a routine. Weather finally cooled somewhat.

voted 3 weeks ago. Tomorrow, I will be driving senior citizens to the polls. I tried to talk them into voting early but they wanted to vote on Election Day.

Good morning everyone. I'm so happy to have found this thread and hope that I can join you. I started taking anastrazole meds January, 2018 and when I heard weight gain and joint pain could be a possible side effect I decided that 2018 was going to be the year I get healthy. I started eating healthier (thanks in part to my breast ctr having a nutritionist I could meet with several times) and stated exercising 2-3 times a week. Since January I've lost 33 lbs (my goal is 40). I've been at a plateau lately so this group could help me get over the hump. With the holidays coming up I need all the help I can get. Today I'm going to a one hour aerobics class. When I started taking the class I was stiff and there were alot of things I couldn't do (like balancing on one leg) but now I'm getting alot better at it. Over the weekend hubby and I went for a 2 mile walk and then cleaned up the leaves outside for, well I'm not even sure how many hours, seemed like forever!!! Have a good day everyone

I'm a water treatment operator and I work at a large plant with lots of stairs. I realized that just after three weeks at the gym it was easier last night. It was a beautiful sunset with all the leaves changing along the American River. The intake is out in the middle of the river and you walk out to it on a long bridge. I felt so blessed to be back at my job at such a cool location. Back to the gym this morning. I set up a date with my friend Amy and it gets me there on time. It helps her too.

ellyn- welcome to the group. You'll get over this hump and continue to lose your desired weight. You should be very proud of yourself. I've never had a weight issue. Once a week I weigh myself to make sure I'm maintaining my desired weight. Exercise is important even if you don't lose your desired weight immediately

Finally, its light enough out to walk before work...and then was sure to walk as soon as I got home. So two nice walks today and broke 12K+ steps......feels good to get back on track. This time change is killing me....I'm waking up at 4am!!

We had lots of fun at Zumba tonight. Our regular teacher (who is very good) was sick so one of our former teachers (she 'retired' because she has 3 kids in high school & a crazy life going to their stuff right now) substituted. She is really good too & has a totally different style so it was great to switch things up & do some of our old routines.

Morning ladies!
Welcome Ellyn!
BEST DAY EVER!! My new running shoes arrive today and the election will be over! 😁 Seriously so sick of all the political ads, flyers etc. Saturday we received 7 in the mail in 1 day. Ready for it to be done! I voted last week! First time I have voted early, so convenient! Will be home watching the results come in this evening with hubby.
I ran 3 miles after work last night. Doing some yoga and strength this morning. Will run 4-5 after work today in my new shoes!
Time change is messing with me too ( waking up early and going to bed early) and not a fan of it being dark at 5pm.

Congrats, Ellyn, on 33l!!
Ran 2K and did a TRX workout apart from running after the dog uphill early in the morning. Zumba tonight.

I too shall be glad when are the political ads are over. They seem very pointless since I voted some time ago. Only annoying.
With the holidays coming up, I make a point of doing a lot of outdoor activity. One thing I do is get in a ride on Thanksgiving and the day after, or the whole weekend if possible. Besides burning off calories, it keeps me away from temptation. It also jump starts fitness for the ski season ahead.
My new teapot came yesterday and it's gorgeous despite being "pre-scratched" and much cheaper than otherwise. Looks so much better than my cracked ceramic one. I may also get one of those, but if I do, it will be as traditional as this one is modern.
My past 3 times out have been wet, with Saturday being the wettest. I got absolutely soaked, but it was beautiful and quiet cycling the country lanes. Yesterday's 5k run was only a bit of drizzle. It was wonderful to get in a full weekend of cycling.
33 pounds is quite an accomplishment, and at least 2 dress sizes, Ellyn. I hope you are enjoying your new svelte figure, and also have new clothes to show it off.
Today's exercise will be walking up a very long and steep hill to the mammogram place from the bus stop, and then back down to the wine bar as will be early evening by then. I made chicken, vegetable, and wild rice soup last night so have dinner covered. Tomorrow is a trip to get my hair cut, at least 6 weeks overdue. I may stop at the bakery across the street and get a lovely piece of pastry if I get to the mammogram place early. Would love to know how they compare to Patisserie Valerie in London. Tomorrow, I will be able to get some food at Pike Place, as need a couple of special items for some pate I have been promising a friend I would make for months now.
Busy day today..... Will report back on the pastry as these things are important, and one of the essential food groups, especially for the dark days ahead. - Claire

POUND this morning, thinking of doing an ab DVD. I am finally attacking my photo albums. I haven't put a picture in since last Christmas, so yikes, it's a big job!

Hi Ladies! I enjoy following stories and your pictures. You are all such beautiful women. I think it's awesome that you get together once a year! I was wondering if anyone out there was taking anastrozole? How long you've been taking anastrozole, and do you take it in the morning or at night?

claire- i have over 40 teapots. What kind of teapots do you collect?

LIFE, I took Arimidex for 5 years. I took it in the morning just because that's when it fit in better with my schedule. I did buy one of those little pill cases because it got so routine that I'd have to check to see if I had taken it or not. I found exercise was the best thing to take care of any aches or pains caused by it.

Life1963, welcome and I took Letrozole and had debilitating side effects, so, with no nodal involvement, bailed on Al's. Hey Ellyn, welcome and good going with losing 33 lbs! HeidiHill, what is the name of your new dog? Welp, screwed my L3 a bit on a yoga pose Monday so hot water bottle on lower lumbar at the moment and thinking of a sickie on two of three classes later today. Just waiting to see if it shifts a little. To paraphrase Jena Friedman, yesterday felt like all of America was awaiting the results of a biopsy. Results are in and thrilled to read that 27 NRA backed candidates lost - the most ever! Wonderful to feel hopeful for our country - again.

Hi Life! I started Tamoxifen in Jan 2018 & switched to to Armidex this past June after my oopherectomy. I do take it right away in morning as I did have some insomnia when I first started it. Was taking it around 3pm during that time. I have noticed some stiffness in morning and after sitting. I run, strength train and do yoga weekly along with powder collagen I stir into my coffee each morning. So far I am tolerating pretty well. I am 47 yrs old, highly ER+ (93%) and Had 1 + node. I plan to take this as long as I am able. Good luck!

Thank you all for the warm welcome ladies!!! I agree with all the comments above about exercise. I wasn't doing it for a long time and now I don't feel well when I miss a class. It's getting so cold out now and I may have to start some mall walking if the sun isn't shining. One thing I credit alot of my weight loss to is a free app I started using called "myfitnesspal". It's been around a long time. At first it's a pain to enter all your food, but after a while it goes quick. It not only tracks my food/calories but I can see the nutritional content, so I can see if I had enough protein for the day or potassium, etc. I'm getting good at food content, now I just need to stick to the good stuff. I also wear a very old Fitbit. I love when I meet my step goal and the little lights go flashing!!! Today is my 2-hour core class. It's my favorite and when I leave I feel like I own the world Have a great day everyone.
Life - I've been taking anastrazole since January. At first I had headaches, now gone and had hot flashes, but those seem to have subsided also. I take it at night because I have another med I take at night and that just makes it easier for me to remember.

It was 18 degrees, snowy, windy and icy.....even the most hard core of the Walking Women took advantage of the indoor track at our town's fitness center.

Didn’t workout last night as the women’s club I am a member of had our monthly meeting. Tomorrow is a no-go for working out as I have plans. So I will do my workout tonight.

TwoHobbies: Been thinking about you and hope you are improving daily.
Rachel: My dh is a retired water treatment plant supervisor. You have a very responsible job! We tend to take our drinking water for granted, that is until something happens. Those steps are an excellent workout!
Welcome Ellyn and LIFE!
LB: Did you get relief with your hot water bottle?
M0mmy: I also had a meeting last night but fortunately had time to walk/run before the meeting. I jumped in the shower after exercising and was still able to make the meeting in time (and smell good also!)
Unlike Ruth's weather, we had a beautiful blue sky and 73 degrees. Sat outside this morning to soak up some Vitamin D. Walked/ran before it got too dark - which is now at 5:30!

18 degrees!!! Wow. Sitting here trying to not put the air back on because it's so warm and muggy. Hit 84 today (played about 6 pickleball games despite that!) and supposed stay in the 80s all week. It is a little high for this time of year so probably will go down at least into the 60s before too long.
Hi Ellyn and LIFE, welcome to the "fun" thread. I will make 10 years on Anastrazone in February. Have a few months to see if I will continue because I think my MO will suggest I continue as I've had no unbearable SE's and my BC was the sneaky one. Thinking to try and get into Moffitt for their opinion as to whether I should stay on or not. We'll see.
Night sculpted friends.

Jo, copy you on that, I'm pleased too!! Wonderland, yes hot water bottle helped greatly, did get to evening classes. Love your temps. Sunny, clear blue sky, fresh morning here. Have older populations exercise class later this morning, Pilates early afternoon and BodyBalance/Flow early evening. Let's keep at it!

patoo- it's been in the 80s but it's still humid here. And looking forward to some cooler weather within the next week or two. 18 degrees. No thanks.
