Ruth - enjoy yourself! We have had a little snow, ice and to much rain! No matter where you step it's squishy here!

Jo-Siesta Key is our favorite beach. We haven't been since my BC diagnosis. I doubt we will be going this year either. DH had a pool installed at our house last year do I predict staycation for this year to. Hopefully a few mini vacations to!

Delivered Meals on Wheels today and yesterday. That equal roughly 3 miles each day. I did Figure 8 DVD. Fingers are crossed for the rain to stop soon! I didn't realize how much time I spend outside until the weather gets crappie!

Stretching and weights this morning at the gym. Then 4 games of pickleball this afternoon. Ruth looks great. If I had the time would drive down to walk but it's 3 hours away. Not to worry, going on a short cruise in 2 weeks and will get beach and more beach.

Even Las Vegas had snow, not just a sprinkling, but REAL snow! Wow.

    Night sculpted friends.

Two beautiful beach walks and some swimming in, and lounging (reading) by a lovely pool. Lots of eating and binge watching Grace and Frankie (which we do together every year).

I don't watch much television. I do recall the Netflix show Grace and Frankie which I binge watched with a couple of friends. It must have been over two years ago. The show is hilarious. Maybe I'll try to catch up this weekend. Hopefully my Netflix is still working. In the past I used my nephew's password. I'm not even sure if I know where this tv stick is. Im going to look aka: search like a maniac. I have a 8K run tomorrow morning. So tonight I'm only walking two or three miles.

Just had a great walk in neighborhood - it started snowing and its 24F - but the fresh air felt so nice - tempted to go for a short walk after the news - even if its just around the block - expected to get 2-4" in Denver, more in the mountains - then the snow is out of here and warming up to the 50s.

Jo - I always watch Netflex on my husband's TV with him (in his office) - I don't know how to work his TV!!!

    Ruth - has is FL?

    Have a good week-end.

Love the pic by the pool, Ruth! Enjoy!

Guess I am going to have to check out Grace and Frankie...

After threatening snow all day it finally started about half an hour ago...I had worked from home today, but did get in a nice, long walk before the snow hit. We are supposed to get somewhere between 3 and 5 inches. Amazingly enough, I am not tired of snow yet (though we certainly don't get as much as some places did!) I say let it snow, let it snow....

Going to start packing this weekend for the move to our new home....

    Have a great weekend all!

I took my walk on the beach this morning and then we headed to West Palm Beach where we spent the whole afternoon at a Downton Abbey Exhibition. If you are a fan of the show and it comes near your city, I would highly recommend it. It shows the history of that time, delves into the characters, has 8 rooms from the house, and a section devoted to the fashions of the time. Really, really cool! Here are some of the gorgeous costumes.

ruth- you look like you're fascinated with the servant Thomas. LOL great pictures. Iran and 8K this morning and did 44 flights of stairs. Now it's time to shower and get ready for work. I expect my legs will turn into Jell-O within the next couple of hours. Have a great day. Enjoy sunny Florida

I'm looking over my shoulder because, if you know the series, Thomas is not to be trusted. I walked very far on the beach this morning so I could check out the beach houses of very rich people!image

Downton Abbey was a series on PBS that ran for 6 seasons. It covers life in an English manor house (above and below the stairs) from 1912, through and after WWI. Dealing with all sorts of things; normal family life, the changing role of women, class issues, war, generational conflicts, advances in technology, fashion. It's interesting on many different levels. A movie which will cover what happened next is coming out this fall.

I love Downton Abbey, the exhibit looks fantastic. I also love Grace and Frankie a laughed so hard every episode. I am sick with a chest infection but still did my RBG workout yesterday lol. Today not so much. I did errands and now ready to crash.

Uterine biopsy done yesterday, wasn't too bad. Now the waiting.

Ruth - I've never seen Downtown Abby but the dresses, especially the red one is very pretty

Nan - hope the results from the biopsy are good

Woke up to 6" of snow (2-5 predicted) - I walk early every Saturday morning with my girlfriend. I came home at 9:00am to see my next door neighbor doing my driveway - I told him it was unnecessary but very appreciated - he looks at me like I was crazy and said it was 6" . He then went across the street and did their walkway and driveway. Quite sunny today so a lot of the snow melted, especially where shoveled. It is warming up so I'm guessing alot will be gone early in the week.

I got to ask DH is I can get Netflex on the TV in the family room so I can watch Grace and Frankie -

    Sweet dreams

it took a while to hook up my Netflix. I had to call AT&T to get my wireless password then I had to contact my nephew to get his Netflix password. I've watched three episodes this evening of Grace and Frankie. Hilarious.

I never got into Downton but I am hooked on Victoria right now, also on PBS. I will keep Grace and Frankie in mind for my next binge.

We had a beautiful Friday, above freezing and sunny and now that the weekend is here and I don't have to work, the weather sucks. Rain yesterday, thunderstorm last night, cloudy and gale warning today. Between that and fighting off a cold, I am being so lazy

we are expecting sustained winds 40-60 mph for next 24 hrs, with gusts up to 70mph. Last storm like this half the city was without power and it too over a week to get power back on. I'm not going out in this weather!

I woke up to six inches or so of snow, same storm as you, Karen. The roads weren't good around here, so I stayed home yesterday, but that didn't mean no exercise: the storm passed through, the sun came out, and I snowshoed around the neighborhood on roads that never seem to get plowed. More aerobic than walking! Hubby did the shoveling this time, but like you, Karen, half of the snow has melted already...I also packed some boxes for our upcoming move, and today we will be going over to the new house to take some measurements and figure out what color we want the new exterior door we are having put into the bedroom (Taking color samples with us: who knew getting a door was so complicated....but I can't wait to have direct access from the bedroom to the hot tub we are also eventually having installed! :-)) .

I loved Downton Abbey: thanks for the pictures Ruth! Looking forward to the movie...

Fingers crossed for good results on the biopsy, Nan.

    Happy Sunday to all!

I stayed up most of the night watching Grace and Frankie. I really enjoyed the shows. It's a Cloudy and overcast day. I'm headed to work for a couple of hours. This afternoon I'm going to run a couple of miles. Surprisingly I only have mild soreness in my calves from my 8K yesterday and climbing 44 flight of stairs.. Tomorrow will make 5 weeks I've been waiting for my roofer to show up. I'm not holding my breath for him to show up anytime soon.

I read this thread on a daily basis to keep me motivated to exercise, but I haven’t posted for a while. DH got me a Fitbit for Christmas and I love it. Getting 10,000 steps most days, but now I am obsessed with activity minutes. Trying to get 30 minutes a day. Right now it is through a cross country ski loop on our property. Lots of snow here. Yesterday I helped DH shovel the roof and got 162 active minutes! I love all three shows- Downtown Abbey, Grace and Frankie, and Victoria. Great pics, Ruth.
