good news! I am too wobbly to exercise today, but my colonoscopy came out perfect! no polys, nothing biopsied etc! YAY!

I also lost 4 pounds in between not eating solids yesterday and not eating fruits/veggies for the 5 days before! Maybe I can translate this into my weight loss boost I needed!LOL Thanks for all of your positive thoughts, I needed them when I was on the cart waiting to go to the procedure..

4 miles Walk Away the Pounds followed by 4 games Pickleball then 50 mins at gym, Sit and Be Fit class. That's a fun class that is lots of stretching that feels soooooo good.

    Later sculpted friends.

2fun- You deserve a break. I've been putting off scheduling my colonoscopy. First thing tomorrow morning I'm going to make an appointment. We had a very long brutal day of thunderstorms. I plan on working out on my elliptical machine tonight. For the past several days my energy level has been low. Have a great evening.

I still look and feel fairly beat-up, but went to mat pilates & Zumba anyway. I did a half-ass job in both, but I figured whatever I did was better than nothing.

We are having thunderstorms here too!

I haven't had a colonoscopy since either cancer dx, so I looked at it as a wonderful nap. Bet I feel differently in 7 yrs when I have the next one.

Started my training plan today for my 10k which is two months from today. My younger son built this out for me.

2FUN: Great news! I'm sure you're relieved. Minus 4 pounds is a nice added bonus.

jo: Think your energy level is low bc of the heat?

M0mmy: Hope you had a good workout.

Pushed mowed for 2 hours today. Talk about a sweaty, hot mess. Also, wasps decided to take up residency in our yard while we were at the beach last week. They're the kind that nest in the ground. I got stung once and dh got stung once. It hurts!

Four mile general aerobic run this morning with 1 100-meter stride. It was so humid and hot, even at 4:30 am.

Edj3- that's a very good training schedule for the 10K . When I started retraining for the 10K last year I used a very similar online program that Runner mom recommended. My Runners Club training starts July 13th for a half marathon in October. I'm going to have to take a pass on it because it's too hot but the next training starts in October and I'll be ready.

Wonderland- The heat is getting to me. I'm still amazed you can use a push mower in the summertime..

Thank you :) This race is really important to me, I fractured my pelvis at the end of May 2018 from overtraining and osteopenia. Just as I was getting my mileage back up this spring, I got the cancer dx (three months ago today, weird). So yeah, I'm running this race as a big F U to both of those things.

My glasses were DOA when I brought them in yesterday. Since the frames were two years old, I needed an eye exam anyway, and my optometrist had a cancellation....that's where I spent my morning. This afternoon I lived dangerously and walked the grandpuppies. Since then I have been organizing & packing because tomorrow I fly off for the annual get-together with the ladies of my family. Nobody but me has seen my sister's new house (near Charlotte, NC), so we will gather there and head for a couple days at the ocean (which, I believe, is the only bearable place to be in the south during the summer). Wonderland lives close to my sister, so she is coming over to hang out on Monday!!! We fly back out Tuesday. Expect some fun beach pictures!!

ruth- so true. The beach is the only place to be during the summer. You ladies should have a lot of fun. Be careful walking those grand puppies.

DS got her a new more restrictive harness, is training her more seriously, plus I will be paying attention ALL the time now, plus she will eventually outgrow puppyhood......we have never had a BIG dog in the family before, so it's a learning curve for all.

Jo: it is AWFUL mowing in the heat and humidity but the end result makes it worthwhile.

Edj: Love your inspiration to run the 10K!

Ruth: Can't wait to see you next week!

    Walked/ran this afternoon.

I have been doing yard work boot camp as well. Sunday I mowed the front yard 37 minutes and then weeded 45. Then I walked the dog around the neighborhood. Monday I mowed the back yard, trimmed the hedge with the manual hedge clippers (good upper body workout) and then went to the lake and walked around the lake. I was so glad to get all that done while it was not raining nor 93 feels like 98, like it had been. Instead it was back to upper 70s. Today I rested but I did take the dog for a short walk. He sleepsbetter when I do.

TH: Lucky you to have temps in the upper 70s!

Walked early this evening. Air quality is Code Yellow (moderate) so decided not to run.

Did yoga this morning--it was supposed to be one of my exercise dvds at my gym (I wear ear buds). But! An actual yoga class is now offered Wednesday mornings at 6:30 so I did the class.

Hi all: I took a long weekend off the internet to go camping (we had a blast, but I didn't get in as much hiking and exercise as I would have liked given that it rained, rained and rained some more!)...

So I get back, work explodes, and finally tonight I get a chance to read the boards...and so much has happened! I am glad you are feeling better Ruth (and had that ice cream); 2Fun glad all went well, and I hope everyone is doing well!

I head to San Diego for work tomorrow, and I am fairly sure it won't rain there: when I am not working I plan to be walking on the beach!

    Hi Everyone!

2Fun- glad to hear the all clear for you.

Busy week here for me as I am teaching a week long class at the university for classroom teachers called Yoga Writing and Mindfulness. It’s going well but tiring, so yesterday I had extra caffeine and this morning woke early thanks to the extra hot flashes. Still no running for me, but resting seems to have alleviated much of the footpain.

Here’s a pic my colleague took beach tan still on:

    Keep at it everyone! Namaste!

It’s been too hot and humid to do my normal workout, so I started working out again with the Wii. So far two work outs in two days. Might take the weekend off or work out as I had been doing.

Training continues--today was 1 mile at recovery pace, 1 mile at tempo pace, and 2 miles at recovery pace. Also the weather was much nicer, only 67 at 4:30 this morning. I'll take it.

    Great picture, Falconer!!

I made it to steamy North Carolina with no problems. Yesterday I got 10,000 steps wandering around the Denver airport during my layover. In a few minutes, my sister and I will be taking her Husky for a walk in the woods.
