Yesterday, weather was gorgeous. I met my friend from high school whom I haven’t seen in several years and we walked on the riverfront path. We just chatted the whole time and ended up walking the whole 5 miles. So fun. We never ran out of conversation. We hope to meet regularly now.

A year ago, I tried to get my neighbor to walk with me. We managed to get a few 30 minute walks in, but she said no so many times that I gave up.

    another bike trainer day

tomorrow is post-op with plastics and, yes I did sneak in some runs over the weekend -- 1 mile and 2 mile --

saw onco yesterday -- he agrees hormone suppressing drugs are NOT for me

He feels I lead a totally healthy lifestyle and acknowledges diet improvements I'm making - he says to continue living life, exercising, eating well. We will monitor things -- I'll see him in 4-6 months. No blood work or body scans unless there is something that warrants it. He feels good about the direction we are taking which I was surprised but relieved.

My heart rate this morning upon waking was low, low, low!

Interesting article by a breast surgeon: https://ecancer.org/en/journal/article/983-reflections-from-a-breast-surgeon-with-breast-cancer-on-how-to-improve-cancer-care

Have a professional oven cleaner downstairs chipping away at the mess we call an oven. Waiting for a delivery of bolsters and sandbags to arrive in this hour and plumber to come by at noon, as a leak in the ceiling had a bit of a drip on Sunday and need to investigate the cause. I start later in the day on Wednesday, 3pm Pilates, and 7-9pm, BodyBalance/Flow and another Pilates. Grateful for a sunny, clear day here in the hinterlands of Kent.

Got in nearly an hour of legs and upper body strength work today. And it snowed last night and is still snowing so I'm doubtful I'll be able to run tomorrow. Glad I ran yesterday.

After 1 month of bronchitis got back to aerobics step and light

upper and lower body weights two days ago. I just did 20 minutes and am planning to get a 1/2 hour walk in with the dogs later.

This is a great motivating forum. My goal is one hour to one an one half hours per day but have to build back up.

    You've got to start somewhere!

LJDH0709 exactly. A runner whose blog I follow has a saying I like: forward is a pace. I kept that in mind while running through radiation, etc. My pace was super slow but I was still moving forward.

Still on Jekyll Island, and have managed about a daily 5 mile walk on beaches for the last several days.So great to be able to be outside and exercising in the winter. It is beautiful here, but we leave Saturday for the Florida panhandle.

Very, very good article, thanks for sharing, Lilac.

Walked with the Wednesday Women this morning. I went to mat pilates at noon. This afternoon DH & I took the grandpuppies for a long walk in the park (much to their great pleasure and ours). Getting two excited little dogs into coats is interesting, I'm glad I never had twins! Loopy

Ran five miles this am--boring route (a loop in my neighborhood) but there's a fair amount of black ice and this route was relatively clear compared to the normal route I take. So boring > slipping and falling any day.

Great article LB! Hope you found the cause of the drip.

    Welcome LJD!

Enjoyed all the pictures Ruth. Nice to get away from the cold and snow.

Hi Everyone! Walked/ran today and on several days since I last posted. Tomorrow we leave for a trip to Universal Studios Orlando. It's a Christmas present to the family. We've never been and are very excited to see the parks with Harry Potter rides, stores, etc. My dd even made Harry Potter themed tee shirts for all of us to wear. Now I just have to pack!

    Welcome, LDJ!

I am feeling BLAH because of my cold. This morning, I did about 20 minutes on the treadmill just to wake up, and a 30 minute toning DVD. I then tried out a new class called Yogi Breathing and did Yoga Nidra after that.

Hello--what a crazy couple of days! My husband and I went to dinner last night for what I thought was date night after being out of the country for three weeks. But no! My mother, who lives in Idaho, and my sister, who lives in Denver, had flown in and were at the restaurant along with my brother and his wife for a slightly early surprise birthday celebration for me! (birthday is actually Monday)

I was 100% surprised, had no idea and wow, what a wonderful evening that was!

I did run 10k this morning, then we all had a great time going to the World War 1 museum here in Kansas City. We had a late lunch, a great visit and now Mom and my sis are flying back to Denver.
