Wow, Varga, on the estradiol level! Not heard of this and in fact, no one checks my level since BC occurred post menopausal. Enjoy your pool.

Sometimes during perimenopause a women's estrogen levels swing wildly all over the place, which is what is probably what's going on with you, Varga (unless you actually ARE pregnant!). You are definitely not post-menopausal yet!

Well, I went to an exercise class today. I checked my fitness center's schedule & their was a Zumba class with only 5 people signed up. I've taken classes from this teacher & hers is not a really strenuous class. So, I registered online and went over (I also knew not many people would be working out inside on a beautiful summer day). I actually felt much safer than I do at the grocery store or Walmart. All the guest service people wore masks. A girl behind a plexiglass checked me in, and masked man escorted me to my classroom (which had one door to enter & another to exit). The big room (which normally would hold 30-50 people) had tape on the floor where you were to stand & registration was capped at 10 (since there were only 6 of us, I didn't even have anyone standing withing 12 feet of me). Larger classes will be capped at 20 and will be held in the gym with any equipment being used already laid out by each spot by the staff before class, sterilized and put away by the staff at the end. After class we exited and went down a different staircase than the one we came up. Hand sanitizer & wipes available all over the place. It was so fun and I was so happy to be in a 'real' class that I got a little teared up during the cool down (only 'class people' will get that). Anyway, I felt pretty pleased with how well everything has been thought out.

Ruth, this only 'class people'😉got it! Looking like July for us for indoor gym opening, same precautions adding I'll be expected at one gym to use on all participants a non-contact ir infrared thermometer forehead body temperature meter. Vargadoll, wow and how do you feel?

Taking a live yoga for cancer class online later this morning as I want to see how this instructor teaches. Had a two hour workshop last night with Donna Farhi and felt the sacrum work we did. Enjoying having my own room for yoga even though it's small. Did a smudge ceremony Friday evening during the height of the full moon to purify my space.

One my Zoom Yoga classes was cancelled this week (due to technical difficulties), so the teacher is doing back-to-back classes this afternoon; Power Yoga followed by Reset Yoga. Hot, muggy & stormy here the next couple days. I turned on the air conditioner for the first time this summer (I turned off the furnace only about 3 weeks ago......we didn't really have a spring).

Ruth, I am totally not a class person (though I should become one!) but I get it: heck, I get teared up watching old baseball games on TV...

My exercise has been mostly walking and sort-of-late spring cleaning. Feels good to get the house looking nice, and it does take some energy...

Vargadoll, I can't imagine what I'd say if my doc called me and asked me that (though granted, I am probably significantly older than you)...but still...

I also turned on the air conditioner for the first time this week. Actually, here in Santa Fe air conditioning isn't all that common, as it is really only needed about ten days a year (the benefit of living at 7000 feet)...but what can I say, I am a wimp. However, it is a split system, and we only have turned it on once in our bedroom, which for some reason gets warmer than the rest of the house..

Varga: What the heck! I imagine that was a shocking phone call for you. Please let us know your next results.

Ruth: Your Zumba class should be an example for all fitness centers!

LB: That's really neat that you did a smudge ceremony for your yoga room.

Octo: I hear you about the air conditionong. Didn't grow up with it but now wouldn't want to be without it.

Walked/ran yesterday. Mowed today. I was a filthy, hot mess afterwards!

Along with my double yoga classes, I did 50 minutes on the treadmill. It is too horrible to do anything outside. We are under a severe thunderstorm & tornado watch at the moment, so it could be a bumpy night.

Ruth - did you exercise with masks on? or were you spaced enough to be without a mask?

My yoga/pilates study is opening up this week with 30% capacity...I find it uncomfortable enough to shop for groceries with the mask, can't imagine trying to exercise with it...but also can't imagine being in an enclosed space with others exercising with no masks...

Talk about AC, when we had the house inspection for the house I thought we would be buying...it has no AC even though it was listed as being central AC...in southern VA, you need AC. They wouldn't accept a (significant) price adjustment to install ...so we have walked. Oh well, I'll keep on looking.

Just back from a 45 minute walk to the river and back...TT

No, I didn't wear a mask. They have tape on the floor so everyone is at least 6 feet apart. Since the class was only half full, I was 12 feet from anyone else. I decided I will always take an edge spot and either in the front or back so I have 2 less people to worry about. Sure takes the carefree aspect out of life!!

Varga - I don't think I've had my estradoil levels checked since Dx. Labs routinely done are CMC, CMP and tumor markers. Since I had an oophorectomy in 2006, my levels should be near zero. To be honest, I don't have any labs from time of Dx including tumor markers. I have labs from starting chemo forward. Hope you next labs are well WNL.

Yesterday we had high winds, very high winds. It starting raining (and hail for a couple minutes) about 3:45. At 4 our power goes off. The wind was so strong - over 50mph that it snapped branches off the tree - some very large branches and tore down the electric and cable wires. We were without power for 19 hours. I went out this morning and bought 5 bags of ice - 2 for the frig and freezer and 3 for our standing freezer. I think ice cream and popsicles/fruit bars were the main casualty. The only reason we got it on so quickly is because my DH saw and Xcel truck and hollered for the guy. He was looking for a different outage that affected lots more people, but came to do our house first. He told DH it could have been another day without power if DH hadn't seen him. Now we are waiting to Xfinity cable on Tuesday morning. Luckily no damage to the house from the trees, but we do need to have the trees trimmed as well as have these branches cut up. Our house was built in 1963 so the trees are old. Windy today but not nearly as bad as yesterday. Cooling off into the 70s tomorrow. 6 out of the 7 days this month have been in the 90s - the other was 89!!!

Best get off the computer and go to bed. I need to walk and be done by 6:30 - no exercise 6 hours before the calcium test at 12:30.

    Sweet dreams.

I did a few YouTube workouts Saturday. The pool is officially open! We were in a few hours on Saturday and Sunday. The grandkids got to come over to. My heart could explode! We have been social distancing since my son-in-law works for a major beer and wine distributor. He's all over western North Carolina and in and out of multiple stores. So having the kids outside in the pool is safe. When we have dinner we're outback in the open space they eat at one table we eat at another more than 6 feet apart.

Sunday I got over 21,000 steps just messing around in the yard and pool. No real scheduled exercise. The kids came over again the little one is almost a swimmer! She is 3 her big brother isn't as brave and the 2 oldest are very good swimmers.

We had crappy weather earlier this past week. Lots of thunderstorms and high winds. Hopefully it will clear out of there quickly for all you will the weather warnings. We didn't have a spring either. We went straight to 80-90 degrees!

I should get a call from the cancer center today to get my lab appointment scheduled. The past few weeks I have felt amazing! Like the old me....me before cancer. I actually was thinking that it has been 3 years since surgery and radiation and I finally feel good. I should add to my last menstrual cycle was January 7th 2017!! I had some spotting in 2018 when the MO switched me to Anastrozole. Was on ot maybe 45 days.

I have been chronically sick since I finished radiation. Either a stomach bug, sinus infection or an upper respiratory infection of some sort. Since about the end of April I noticed I have more energy, wake up rested and just feel great all day. I do have some issues with my asthma but not near what they have been. I actually was thinking that the stay at home order helped me get over the hump. I only took six days completely off when I had my lumpectomy. I didn't take anytime off during radiation and my work load actually doubled during that time.

Good morning - it was glorious out walking at 5:30 - think I need to start doing that every morning . Walked for 30 - 35 minutes. Got my labs back - on the patient portal - now just need to wait to see what NP says about them. No real surprises but numbers are not as good as other times. LCL is higher - total cholesterol is higher, trace of protein in urine, blood calcium levels are higher. A1c is good. And kidney function numbers are not great either but no worse than last time. Glad I made the calcium heart test to add more peace of mind. LDL is not crazy high, but still want to be sure everything is okay. Last thing I want to do is add another "ologist" to my ever growing list. I think I have 4 right now!

Not as hot today as its been. Should only be in the high 70sHappy Will try to post pictures of the tree limbs that are down.

    Have a great Monday.

    Yes, it is!

Dog walked and went to Zumba tonight. This class was held in a quarter of the gym with 14 people and spots marked off. I came right before class started, stood in the back, & zipped out right after class was done so nobody could visit with me. This stupid virus is making me anti-social. GRRR!

The research from South Korea suggests that group exercise classes are super spreader events, with 112 cases in South Korea traced back to a few gym classes. The heavy breathing, recycled air and close proximity were the causes. Although social distancing would help, it's not going to be a full solution. I think masks are highly likely to be compulsory, here in the UK, when gyms open, possibly in July and still no solid confirmation.

It's easy for me to say this since I'm not a group exercise person so I wouldn't be giving up anything but you couldn't drag me into a group exercise class. Well maybe if going to one class healed my foot, possibly. Otherwise, hard pass from me.

    Like that photo Ruth!

Regardless of enjoyment of group exercise or singular pursuits of exercise such as running, cycling or swimming, there is a demarcation of change in how we carried out these activities from a few months ago to now. For some to a lesser degree.

For me, I'm taking advantage of taught on zoom yoga & Pilates workshops (for instructors), to advance my knowledge-this informs my teaching and upskilling physcial abilities. I've been attending a Pilates for lower back masterclasses from Rome (english language) each Wednesday afternoon and started a five day yoga workshop zooming out of Montreal last night. Both of these are taught by internationally renowned instructors. It's not the same f2f, yet, what I'm learning - what is being taught is the same, it's how I'm learning that has shifted. The cost factor is what has been so remarkable. The yoga workshop is a fraction of the cost as the same face-to-face workshop that will be offered in London in 2021 and the Pilates class super reasonable. Long way of saying, I've found an upside to the abrupt halt to life as we knew it.

Driveway breakfast, that is so cool! Re-socializing can be stressfull but this looks fun. Lilacblue, yes, the digital world has a lot to offer, telemedicine and online courses, for example. DD has her finals next week. All online, all open books but shorter time to finish. She has written to all her professors to say she much prefers the podcasts to sitting in a crowded auditorium for lectures. I think they sent out questionnaires.

I can't imagine wearing a mask while exercising. Unless it's connected to oxygen. But that Reebok mask looks nice for getting on the bus.

Still haven't been to the gym. Maybe next week or after. I've tried to imagine how this would play out. I may hire a personal trainer for the first time to make me get my ass over there. He/she could teach me exercises on just one piece of equipment which would be disinfected before and after use. I am so in need of strength training. I am so lazy to do it at home. I worry about bone mets recurrence if I let my upper body go to pot. There, I will have to do kettlebells tonight (what have I been waiting for?). Then dream of this

I'm 10 years younger than her!

Wow, that is quite the inspirational gal!

Yesterday I went to Dance2fit in the morning & back to Barre Sculpt in the evening (from what I've read you should try to keep inside exercise time to not more than about 50 minutes at a time). Since my fitness center is brand new, it has a great ventilation system; and since it's huge, things can be all spread out.

However one can do it, staying fit is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves (for many, many, many reasons). In North Dakota (as of today) 100% of people who have died of Covid have had underlying health conditions, and (in North Dakota anyway) health officials do not consider age in itself 'an underlying health condition'.

I did the dreaded Shopping For Groceries excursion early this morning & went right into the also dreaded Cleaning of the House mode once all the groceries were disinfected and put away. We are dog walking this afternoon (a beautiful day here with hotter weather predicted for next week) & will maybe will do Zoom Zumba tonight.

Did Yoga/Pilates/Relaxtion "Mix", 1/2 hr break, and then Zumba Gold. We had an after Zumba chat session as well, which was good. I am really enjoying all of the Zoom offerings and have a good exercise space setup in my home. Content to only go out as needed for groceries/other essentials or receive deliveries until such point as immunity may be possible.
