Friday did a home exercise program and then got both my Covid Booster and Flushot...

Saturday I spent 12 hrs in bed...having just read that book about chronic fatigue, when I was in bed deliberating if I had enough energy to roll over and get a sip of water or if I should conserve energy to actually get up and go to the bathroom, yikes! Gratefully, at almost exactly 24 hrs after shots administered the fever broke. Very glad to have them and to have that part done. I travel in 2 weeks for business to DC and two weeks after that for business in NYC (first airplane ride since March 2020) so wanted to be fully boosted up.

Yesterday/today/tomorrow we are high 70's (actually hit 80 for a minute yesterday)...enjoying time outside today.

Candlelight Yoga tonight at 5:00...actually in full candlelight now that the clocks are set back.

Well, its our third day in a row of low80's for a high...took a walk midday. My monthly wine group is tonight on zoom...might zoom in from the patio to enjoy the weather...someone forgot to tell the weather gods it is November, sure we will be paying for it soon! TT

I hope we do NOT send you our weather, TT! The winds were howling at 60 mph yesterday, so today I was back in the yard again picking up leaves and branches for two hours. And there are winter storm warnings for Thursday & Friday. Ugh!!

We did walk the dog yesterday & I went to Yoga. Today, along with working in the yard, I am going to a POUND class. Tomorrow DS's fiance has invited me to go wedding dress shopping with her, her mom & sister. Fun!

TT: Oh my goodness! Glad your reaction to the 2 shots didn't last longer than 24 hours. It's exhausting when you are like that. Sounds like you rebounded quickly. Wine zoom on the patio sounds delightful.

Ruth: Your weather sounds horrible! Please don't send it our way. Have a fun time tomorrow! There were 6 of us when dd went dress shopping. We only went to one salon bc we knew the salon owner. Dd described what she was looking for and everyone picked out a dress for her to try on. I was overwhelmed by the choices that I didn't pick one out. After she tried them on we helped her narrow it down to 2 dresses. She tried those on again. When she decided on the one she wanted, I asked who had picked it out. Turned out the salon owner had pulled it. I'm telling you this bc they know they their inventory and how to match it to the bride's desires.

We also are having 80+ degree weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler. Walked/ran/sweated this afternoon.

Wonderland, we are going to two salons. The bride has said, while she has some ideas about what she'd like, she is going to let the assistant pull out some dresses, as they should be experts on what looks good on different body types. As I see it, my role will be to agree with the bride. If she likes it, I like it. If she doesn't, neither do I. Winking

    Happy Election Day Everyone!

Luckily the city sucked up the majority of our leaves that we hauled to the front of the house today. Couldn't get them all bc their truck was full. I added 2 more piles to the small amount that was left. Hopefully they will be back tomorrow. Done with the major raking. I push mowed for 50 minutes to start getting the weeds and loose leaves. Will finish tomorrow.

Voted this morning, yoga at lunchtime.

For the first time in 35 years my school closed for election day to encourage all to vote!

TT, I wish Election Day was a Federal holiday! I voted last week as we were wedding dress shopping yesterday. The Bride said Yes to the Dress; so it was a fun happy day. She found her gown at her first appointment, so cancelled the other shop she was going to check out.....which meant I got home in time to go to my Zumba and Yoga classes.

A rain/ice mix brought the Wednesday Women inside for a walk at a mall this morning. I did some grocery shopping after that & need to make another trip out before the really bad weather hits. We are in a blizzard warning for tonight & all day tomorrow. I hope to sneak in a Pound class at 4:30 before everything shuts down. Fall is over for us! (If I don't check in tomorrow it means the power lines are down from the freezing rain ahead of the 12+ inches of snow! Shocked)

TT: Good for your school to close for Election Day. Especially this election!

Ruth: So glad your future dil found her dress. I bet she didn't want to take it off. Goodness, be safe in your ice, snow, cold, etc.

Unlike Ruth's weather, we had 65 degrees with a nice breeze under blue sky. All that will change starting tomorrow evening and especially on Friday when Storm Nicole comes up from Florida.

Push mowed for 1 hour. Also was able get in a shortened walk/run before a zoom meeting.

Met a friend this morning to walk plus catching up since last time I saw her.

Storm Nicole is coming our way with plenty of rain, wind tonight and tomorrow. Will not be as windy as the last storm 6 weeks ago, thank goodness.

    Prayers for Florida.

Well, we have gotten our snow. My class was cancelled last night (did a toning DVD at home), and everything is shut down today (did another DVD). It's still snowing & blowing so there is no use in digging out until it quits. We are missing our neighbor dog because she and Bruno loved playing together is the snow. I am not a very good replacement!

Poor Bruno! I wouldn't be a good replacement either. Now if he wants to snuggle up and take a nap on a snowy day, that's a different thing.

We were fortunate that Storm Nicole's track changed and went further west from us. Unfortunate for the mountains as they had flooding, etc. We had rain but nothing like what was predicted. Very fortunate.

No formal exercise today. Dd came over for coffee and a fun visit during the late morning. In the afternoon I started going through drawers, things, etc. for decluttering. Felt good to make a little progress. A little at a time.

We got 8 inches of snow (and our street department is lousy at removing it); so, I helped shovel & then had DH (who is a more adventurous driver than I) chauffeur me around to the places I needed to go. I did a 40 yoga DVD & danced around to Marshall Fitness on utube. I haven't looked out the window yet but I suppose at sometime I will have to venture out & practice my winter driving skills. Blah!

Yesterday we had bands of rain from the tropical storm, but by the late afternoon/early evening it had cleared and we were in the low 70's...when I walked home from school last night I took off my rain coat it was so hot!

Only exercise yesterday and today is walking, approx one hr each day.

After my knee injury in April, I gained 16lbs! Now down 6...making me grateful for regaining my strength and encouraging me to exercise and not eat as a pastime...

Congratulations on your weight loss, TT. A constant battle for me!

I did a good Denise Austin DVD. It was toning but also had some cardio bursts too. Since there was no wind, we bundled up and went on a Snow Walk with Bruno. He really, really loves the snow!

WTG on your weight loss, TT! Eating as a pastime is definitely a struggle and a hard one to break.

    Ruth: Bruno looks SO happy!

Walked/kinda ran today. Yesterday I was sweating but today it turned cold (not ND cold). Didn't get out the 40s. Made for a brisk walk.

Weather here took a turn as well and we had snow yesterday. Only about 1.5 inches - nothing like yours, RuthBru!

Did three Silver Sneakers zoom classes today - Classic, Fusion (mix of Yoga, Barre, Pilates) and then Cardio. Took yesterday off.

I need to get back on the wagon about trying to lose some weight, especially with winter/upcoming holidays. Hubs keeps buying things I cannot resist, though!

I have zero willpower as far as food goes, celia. I would like to lose a few pounds, but apparently not enough to eat junk!

I watched football most of yesterday, but did get in 30 minutes of cardio dance. I went to Zumba this morning & then bundled up and took Bruno to the Dog Park so he could have some dog fun in the snow.

celiac: I waited until Halloween day to buy my candy bc the bad weather that was predicted changed and I knew kids would be trick-or-treating. There was a lady at the candy isle also buying Halloween candy. She told me they never get kids trick-or-treating but her husband sent her to the store to get some "just in case." She left with 2 bags. I just shook my head lol.

Ruth: I know Bruno had fun at the park in the snow.

Today I finally relinquished my breast prostheses and wig and donated them to our local cancer services agency. I wore my protheses for 2 years before having delayed DIEP reconstruction in 2009. I had 3 of them - one I wore all the time, one I didn't like, and one for swimming. The one I wore all the time had deteriorated some and was not salvageable so I threw it away. The other 2 were still in great shape.

Walked/ran this late this afternoon. Well, I say late. I started at 4:20 but needed to be done before it started getting dark.

Wonderland, that is awesome. I wonder if I dare drag out my wig and donate it somewhere. It's still in its box in the back of a closet in the basement.

Ruth, my wig was still in its box in the back of my bedroom closet. It still looked great. Don't know why I held on to all of it. At first it was for "in case I need them again." But as time passed, I would say to myself, One day I need to pass these on to someone else who can use them. I've been doing a little decluttering and pulled the boxes out of the closet last week to reassess. This morning I woke up and said Today's the Day. Felt good.

No chemo for me, so no wig. However, I have hung onto specialty front closing bras used post surgery and during radiation just in case and a special under breast support cushion used during radiation "just in case." Guess I am also a bit superstitious.

Had my "over 65" flu shot today - first flu shot ever. Managed to get through all my afternoon classes including Line Dancing, Bodyweight Boot Camp and Zumba Gold.

Glad you got the flu shot, Celiac!

Our high school football team won the state championship over the weekend so the Wednesday Women walked at the high school and took a picture with the coach (who is a wonderful guy).

celiac: I keep hearing on the news how bad flu is already. Glad you got the shot.

Ruth: Congratulations on your football team! As always, great WWW picture.

Yesterday was a rainy, raw day so I stayed inside and painted. Earlier this year I painted for my dd a wood panel with interchangeable 6 inch square inserts for seasons/birthdays/etc. I had painted spring, summer, and fall inserts and gave her blank inserts for her to decorate. Well, she's been too busy to do any of them so I painted a Christmas/Winter one. It's the same background with detachable (Velcro) pieces.

    Walked/ran some this afternoon.

I love your Christmas/Winter decorations, Wonderland!

It is really winter here. Cold, snowy, blowy, bad roads.....the whole thing. I went to Pound this morning ad, as the dinner I was supposed to go to tonight has been postponed, I will go to Dance2fit in a few minutes.
