Great picture, Ruth! Looks cold aready and tomorrow will be really cold!

Well, f, f, f, and double triple f. At first I was worried the wedding would be a Covid Party. Then I was worried it would be a Hurricane Party. We had masks available and hand sanitizer. I didn't wear a mask and neither did anyone else. I have had 5 freaking vaccinations for goodness sakes! Someone came with covid. And it spread....

12 people are postive - including me, dh, and groom.

There were 90 people there. 28 didn't show up with the main reason being the weather.

We have contacted people and so far no new cases. Incubation can take 4 days and today is the 4th day. Hoping no one else!

Symptoms are sore throat, cough, low fever, aches. Most symptoms are mild. As a matter of fact dh did a little yardwork today while I stayed inside and watched a movie. Called doctor and he said take otc drugs. If we think we need Paxlovid I can call him tomorrow.

Then my cat brought in a MOUSE this evening and we can't find it. Shit.

Oh no, Wonderland!!!!! If it all weren't all so stressful, it would make a whole season of sitcom episodes. Hope everyone's symptoms stay mild (which they should since you're vaccinated). Argh!!!!!!!!

Dance2fit & Yoga for me today.

    Thanks!

I tried to post another picture of the beautiful stallway where they got married but the file was too big and it looked blurry.

I'll try again but it may not work.

Wonder - love the picture of you and your daughter. You both look beautiful. All the wedding pictures are pretty. Love the green bridesmaid dresses.

Our traditional break the fast is the same every year - scrambled eggs, bagels, cream cheese, lox and orange juice. Last night we didn't get home from synagogue till 7:45 so it was 8:00 before we ate. My son came over to eat with us. Everybody got something ready and all I had to do was make the eggs. My son has been over a couple times since DD#2 is here and he will stop by on Tuesday afternoon as she leaves that night. I'm so lucky that my 3 kids all care about each other and love each other. Truly blessed.

Today DH and DD#2 went hiking at St. Mary's Glacier near Idaho Springs. Beautiful photos and the aspens are golden. I will post some from my phone.

    Beautiful pictures, Karen!

Our growing season is definitely over. When I got up this morning it was 16 degrees! I haven't yet decided what I will do for exercise today.

Karen: Beautiful pictures. The aspens are popping!

    Ruth: BRRRRR!

We have had beautiful weather but I'm staying inside quarantining and watching movies. A week ago Tropical Storm Ian blew in. Dh and I started Paxlovid yesterday. Feeling pretty good today. No one else who is positive from the wedding is taking the drug and they are improving daily. I probably didn't need it but since it was available decided to take it.

So pretty, Karen! Love seeing your pictures.

Dh and I are much better and feel back to normal. I have a little bit of post nasal drip but nothing bad. Today is Day 5 so we can go out and about wearing a mask for the next 5 days. I was supposed to be in Hilton Head this week with my sisters and sil. Oh well, I'll go next year.

Glad you are feeling better, Wonderland. Darn about the Sisters Trip!

I went to Yoga Strength & did a Dog Hike yesterday. Wind Down Yoga tonight.

Leaves still on the trees and just barely starting to turn so raking will be in November. Rice bag on your back will feel good.

Ran a few errands today. Just got off a 2 hour Girl Scout zoom meeting about Cookies. A new cookie will be introduced as an online purchase only - Raspberry Rally. Will be interesting to see how that goes over.

You will have to give us a review of the Raspberry Rally, Wonderland

I took an aspirin and sat around last night so the back is fine today. A friend & her granddog will be over in awhile for a Puppy Playdate. More Zumba followed by Yoga tonight.

    Here's where we walked yesterday.

We will not be given a sample of the new cookie. I'll have buy it online like everyone else. Not sure how good this will go over. But then again, I could be wrong and it's very successful.

Glad your back is better, Ruth. Cute picture of you and Bruno!

I didn't exercise today except walk around the grocery store. I felt tired this afternoon but perked back up in the evening.

Trying to keep this thread going is getting harder and harder. Thankful that ya'll, Ruth and Karen, continue to post. Wish others would come back. Even just to say Hello.

Took DD#2 to the airport - her flight to JFK leaves in about 45 minutes. There was NO line at security. She said 30 minutes from getting out of the car to the gate - 7 minutes to get through security. She has a long layover at JFK - She gets in at 5:15am and her next flight is at 11:00 - but they start boarding at least 1 hour before the flight as there is secondary security for flights to Israel. At 24, she is quite the seasoned traveler. We had a great visit. She is so much fun. My son stopped by tonight to say by to her. He had dinner with us twice during the 3 weeks she was here.

Wonder - I commend you for your continued involvement with girl scouts. I was cookie mom for both my girls - 6. years each. There are different cookies (one or 2) in different parts of the country - two different bakers.

Need to schedule my flu and Covid booster and also my Prolia with my PCP. I'm curious as to what my oncologist will say on Friday about Endocrinologist saying Prolia for life.

    Hello.

Nice to read everyone's updates. Work has been crazy and stressful and the house is a disaster, but I have been doing my strength training with a personal trainer (via Zoom -- not willing to go in a gym) twice a week and by myself once a week, and rowing at least a couple times a week. Our season on the water will end soon which is sad. We are nearing peak foliage and it is so beautiful, despite it not being a great year for it.

I have also finally been getting back on the treadmill and doing walk-run sessions. It is good to be able to do that again after the broken toe took so long to heal.

I have my MO follow-up next week. It has been postponed repeatedly. This is a new MO, as my previous two both retired. I've heard nothing but great things about her, just frustrated at having to wait so long.

I hope everyone is well. I love the photos -- especially Bruno -- he is such a cutie!

Yes - nice to see you post. I have my 6 month check up on Friday. My exercise still just is walking 1-3 times day - at least one hour total and one hour on my Cubii (under the desk elliptial) in the morning when I get up. While daughter was visiting picked up a few pounds that I would like to shed. If I just don't snack it should com off.

GREAT to hear from you, Yesiamadragon!!! I have about 1,000 Bruno pictures on my phone so could post a picture a day if you want! 😆

Karen, your house will feel too quiet with DD gone.

Cold and VERY windy this morning. The Wednesday Women walked some trails in the trees for protection. I went & got my flu shot after we walked (and ate). I am going to wait until mid-November for the Omicron booster. I figure that will give me the most protection over the holidays and when we travel in January/February.

YesIAm: Good to see you again! Glad your toe has finally healed. Strength training with a personal trainer by zoom sounds wonderful. Hope your work settles down.

Karen: How nice that your ds came over for dinner on the last night your dd was home. Been meaning to tell you that your dd has a beautiful smile.

Ruth: Looks cold! What a group of dedicated women!

Feel like I'm fully recovered from Covid so I walked today. Only walked 1/2 mile bc it started to rain and it wasn't going to stop anytime soon. Felt good to walk even in the rain.

DD#2 made it home safe and sound. She loved flying premium. It was actually less than coach/the cheapest seats. Lori - we hope to go during my winter break, but right now air fares are sky high!!! And not good travel times (long or too short layovers). So unless fares come down, no travel. If so, the next time we see here will be in 6 months (is she comes for Passover).

Wonder - DS didn't come for dinner, just stopped yo visit which was great. Thanks for the compliment on DD2's smile - thanks for a great orthodontist and $$$$. She is great about wearing her retainer so that has helped keep things good. I think its been 10 years since they came off. She is the most photogenic of us all. Maybe its all the photos we took of her when she was little - though I did take pictures of all the kids.

38 this morning, but will be high 60s. Might be time to put the sandals away. The front office at work where my office is, is always cold. Wore a jacket all day yesterday. Found out new assignment for November through end of 2022 - hope its not longer. Still waiting to see if it's 3 or 4 days. Not crazy about the assignment as it is a charter school, K-5, but it will be fine. I'm just not crazy about Charter schools. I covered the sister school two years ago for a semester. There are 2 one day/week people there and they are drowning and also newbies so even harder for them.

Getting my Prolia shot this afternoon and on Sunday getting Covid booster and flu shot. 6 month medical oncologist appointment tomorrow. No reaction for past Covid shots so hoping for the same. Monday is DH's birthday so would not like to be sick. Just don't want to keep putting it off.

    Have a great Thursday.

It is REALLY cold and windy here! (It's noon as I type; it's 32 degrees, according to the Weather Channel the wind is 39 mph so it feels much colder. BRRRR!!!! I went to an 8am Pound class this morning & will go to Dance2fit (and maybe yoga tonight).

Good luck with all the medical stuff, Karen. I had no reaction from my flu shot yesterday, not even a sore arm. DH is getting both his flu & Covid booster shot today. I will get the my booster in a couple weeks . (I don't do shots in my left arm plus am leery about getting two different shots at the same time. DH's reasoning is that if he has reactions, he only wants to feel lousy once and get it over with!

I had the most recent booster shot on September 7 and only experienced a slight sore arm. Hopefully when ya'll get it you will not have a bad reaction. Just as a reminder, dh and I got Covid even though we had all 5 shots. Ugh. Luckily it was mild (sore throat, a little fever, couldn't get warm, a little cough. Just for a few days but we still had to isolate for 5 days.) It's still out there just lurking and waiting..........As a nurse friend said, it's just a matter of time before everyone gets it. But thank goodness for the vaccine! I'll keep getting them as soon as any new ones come out.

Yikes on the cold weather, Ruth! Hope it warms back up for you.

Karen: For 3 years I worked in a building that was freezing in the summer and burning up in the winter. Made it hard to dress.

    Walked this afternoon.

Ruth - I haven't had shots in right arm since Dx, but might just have to with both shot at once. My medical oncologist says the information regarding LE and precautions have changed and my life time risk is 30% I think. I've had to have a couple blood draws from that arm since veins is shot on left side and doesn't always cooperate. I'm just getting antsy waiting as they are saying flu season will be bad. First time I'm worry about flu - but last 2 years everyone was wearing masks so not as much flu.

Wonder - we've been lucky so far regarding Covid, but I know that won't last forever.

Can't seem to shed these 3-4#s. Had hoped to have it off by today 6 month check up. I know its not a lot and I'm thin, but my issue is more that I don't want it to keep creeping up. I'm at my high of where I want to be. I've been good not snacking at night, but need to get better at work.

46F at 5 a.m and going into the high 70s. Cooling off. little over the week-end into 60s with cooler nights then back to low 70s next week. I don't mind this weather. Still not quite ready to give my sandals, though at night, needing to switch for our after dinner walk.

Working today for Monday and again next Friday for Tuesday (flexing my days) so I probably won't be back till Saturday night or Sunday. Have a great week-end.

    Ruth - Bruno is gorgeous!

Medical oncologist visit went well. Still need lab results to confirm. MO asked about me working and talked about it for a few minutes - usually he just asks how much I'm working. Made DH and I wonder what he was thinking. He asked if I was working 3 days and I said 4 days and asked if that was full time? When I said I couldn't do the job without taking work home, he made a comment like of course it can't be done in the 8 hours. There are days I wonder how well I'm doing. I had a hard time working on my learning objects - just getting them in the format and then writing a behavior plan - about 3 hours and I was spent!!! Brain had totally shut down. The younger team mates, many half my age, get it so much quicker!

Gorgeous weather today. I think autumn is my favorite season.

Have a great Friday night and Saturday

    Bruno!

Karen: Happy that your MO visit went well. Makes you wonder why he talked about work more than usual. Sounds like a good MO in that he's concerned about your work life also.

    Walked with a friend today.
