Valjean-let me one of the 1st to wipe your brow and give you a big WHEW!!!!!!! Merry Christmas!

oakley-toward the end of my rads, my rad onc told me to soak a washcloth in 1/2 hydrogen peroxide/ 1/2 water solution..lay down and put the cloth on my blisters & burns for about 3 minutes...let air dry... re-apply and do that cycle for 1/2 hour or so, twice a day if possible.  It helped greatly with healing, discomfort, etc.  Keep it in mind.

chabba...I was scheduled for my Lumpectomy around noon time.

Tracer was done day before they did that wire localization.

they were running late. i didn't get in the surgery until after 2.

I'm not a morning person and all my appointments are scheduled in the early afternoon. But i wish the surgery was earlier.

Jo...So far so good maybe your stomach needs some adjustment too.

I remember starting a medicine years ago. I was told the first 2 weeks your tummy wont be too happy but if you can tolerate its temporary.

    And they were right.

We have just checked in to our hotel. I have several things to say but we are heading out in minutes and I wanted to let you know something important. I spoke with our sister PauldingMom on our drive. She didn't answer immediately which had me worried. Not too long after she called me from her hospital room. She is back in for another transfusion and has had to be getting fluids this week. She wanted me to pass on that she is okay and is trying to get healthy enough to be home for Christmas.

Meece I'm glad you had a safe trip.  Sad to hear that Lisa is back in the hospital.  Frown  I hope she makes home for the Christmas holidays! She is such a great lady.

Val... Whoot Whoot!!! Congrats to you and your DD.  Miracles do happen "Darlin"  (that's southern talk) LOL!!

My rads experience I burned really badly right at the very end when I was getting my boosts, and early on in my underarm area which was not suppose to be in the radiation field.  It was very painful and I used the creams they gave me exactly as prescribed.  I also tried the emu oil but it didn't seem to help.  I have an olive complexion and usually don't burn easily but my rad onc was dead set that he was not going to have missed a cancer cell which was why I received 11 boosts; 6 to the tumor area and 5 to the incision area which were essentially in the same area for me.  I also had large breasts DD.  But within week most of the burns were healed and the pain was gone.  Your right the worst part was not being able to wear a bra but thank goodness it was winter an I layered tank tops and oversized sweater and sweatshirts so it wouldn't be noticeable.

    Goodluck

Thank God we finished this week with good news all around.Smile

Except my sister Lisa who I never forget how she welcomed me when I joined the board first time. She even made me a honorary member of July 2009 chemo group because I was also a July chemo 4 years before that.

Lisa i love you Sister. Thinking of you and will post a big pink flower just for you.

    Hugs

    I can still see it.

Lisa still has her sense of humor and as usual it was so nice to hear her laugh.  I will be checking back with her soon and will let you all know.  That is always her final comment, that I tell all the ladies she's okay.

    Love that girl!!!!

I can see Lisa's picture, beautiful pink camellias (?).Is it still gone for you, Sheila?

I think of Lisa often & miss her 'smiles' on the boards. I am, also, praying she will be home in time for Christmas. ♥

What a day! I am still on cloud nine. Have not seen DD to give her a big hug, but I will tomorrow. I hope to get a quick chance to be here tomorrow night to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas. We are leaving early Sunday morning for our trip to the snowy north of the U.P. of MI, a stone's throw from Lake Superior. It is beautiful in the winter, just hoping for no storms!

In case I don't have time to get here, I want to wish all of my beautiful sister/friends the very best & merriest Christmas ever. I am still overwhelmed by all the love & support & prayers you have sent my & my DD's way this past couple of weeks. It means more than you know.

I thank each of you personally & am sending a hug to each.

    Val ♥
