Thanks, Elimar, will do...I had heard about OncotypeDx, but assumed it was the oncologist who ordered it! New to the maze...

And Sheila, life is unknown, one day at a time!Cool

Viranyani:  Welcome!  I thought the oncologist usually ordered it as well (that's the way it worked for me).  My oncologist used Adjuvent Online, but agreed to order the Oncotype DX at my request (dot the i's and cross the t's in my head) even though things seemed pretty clear to her that chemo would add only minimal protection and she wasn't recommending it.  It took a while to get auth from my insurance company, then the two week wait plus something fell through the cracks somewhere so more time lost.  It was a long wait so as elimar suggested perhaps your BS could get that ball rolling.  It couldn't hurt to ask.

    Best wishes!

Viranyani - Welcome to the sisterhood.  Sorry we have to meet this way.  My stats are similar to yours except I chose luumpectomy + rads + Tamoxifen.  I am post menopausal and doing Tamox because the aromatase inhibitors and I do not get along.  I'm sure someone will come along and share their experience.

Hey, Ladies - Vhsea - don't feel like a slacker! I only had a lumpectomy and re-excision, nothing like a UMX!! Surprised I can't even imagine what that is like for you.

So far, this has not been bad. I took decadron twice yesterdat and have stayed on top of the compazine every six hours, plus drinking a lot of water to flush the chemo out, hot water with lemon and stevia to flush my liver and alkalize it so it can function easier, and  my probiotics and enzymes to help with digestion. I'm also eating a lot of fiber (Grape Nuts and dried apricots).  I took one senakot yesterday for constipation, and felt just a slight bit of nausea at some point last night, but it was less than a minute and then back to sleep, no vomiting. I am somewhat tired today, but nothing insane. I keep waiting for the side effects to kick in...I guess tomorrow or Tuesday, grrrrr, I was hoping to avoid any during the work week! We'll see, I guess. Undecided

Viranyani welcome aboard! Hoping and praying that all goes well for you.

Sheila I am so relieved that your mammo was clear and that you booked your trip... wish I was going!

Jo maybe you and I need to take a trip to Hawaii together without the men LOL!!!

I have been MIA lately... my daughter and her hubby have finally rented them a place to live and they are moving out of my house.  I have been helping buy things and packing my daughter and granddaughter up.  We are still not quite finished.  It's amazing how much junk one girl and a baby can accumulate over 21 yrs.  LOL!!! So we are trashing and keeping.  The plan was to move a lot of things when she got off work this afternoon however but it is raining here so ???  I will send some rain ya'lls way for those of you who have not been getting any.  That is all we have been getting here lately, rain and thunderstorms.

Take care and I'll talk to you soon.

ducky.....Why don't you connect a long hose to your kitchen faucet with proper parts. It's easy and it works. I did that for years. Even if you have a big garden at least you can fill your buckets outside through the hose Wink

Melmes ~ I also love your new avatar! I'm a bit late but wanted to say how happy I was to hear your "problem" area was resolved & wasn't anything serious. I hope the chemo tx's go well.

ducky ~ You are a bright spot for me, and I thank you for the Kodak visual moments in the shower. Embarassed

Eph3_12:  My granddaughters name was made up... LOL!  Actually my daughter and I did it together.  She is the biggest George Strait fan ever and she was considering naming her daughter with her pregnant brain, Justin (after a famous bull rider Sealed), well I couldn't stand the thoughts of my granddaughter being named Justin, so I said let's think of someone you really love to name her after.  When we got to looking and researching we found out that George Strait had a daughter named Jennifer Lynn that died at age 13 in a car accident when a drunk driver hit the car she was in with some friends... and so Straitlyn's name was born!  There will never be another I would say, nor a bigger fan than my daughter.  Wink

Hope you all enjoyed my tale...

    Have a great Monday!

jo, I was telling mimi that she needs to let George Strait know her granddaughter is named for him.  And I used to be a fan of country music & still like it, I just don't listen to it regular on the radio like I used to.

Joni, we actually did write a letter right after she was born because she was a preemie, and sent it in.  I was the one who wrote the letter.  I sent it and address I found for his manager/fan club but never got a response.  I guess things like that don't matter or the letter just got lost in the shuffle.  Oh well I tried.

As for country music... Ducky I love it!!! I'm 47 and my daddy made me grow up listening to Donna Fargo, Conway Twitty and Waylon Jennings, etc.  So I was country when it wasn't cool.  Hahaha!!  And in the words of Donny and Marie Osmond... "I'm a little bit country and a little bit rock n roll" Laughing

mimi - I grew up listening to Marty Robbins - my mother loved him.  I am pure rock & roll until I got married to a southern boy.  My real introduction to country music was the likes of Donna Fargo, Gordon Lightfoot, Loretta Lynn, Mel Tillis. etc.  I still like to listen to the 60s & 70s.

Oh wow I use to love Mel Tillis!  Matter of fact just a few months ago my hubby and I went to the grand ole opry and saw Lori Morgan and Pam Tillis.  They had been touring together.  Amazing even after all these years... Cleopatra she's the queen of denial!!! LOL

Well, that's disappointing Mimi.  I would have thought George would have thought something like that was worth a response!

I started listening to country around the time that Garth Brooks, et al started in.  Love Marty Stewart & Colin Ray! And of course Reba!

I have been to several George Strait concerts, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.  But most of my concert going days were spent in my youth seeing groups like Journey, Styx, and Foreigner, oh let's not forget the Bee Gees, Lionel Richie and Tina Turner!!! hahahaha!!!

And my very favorite was the Bon Jovi concert my first hubby took me too in March 1986 for my 22nd b'day ...

I have several CDs of Lorrie Morgan & Reba.  It has been many years ago, hubby and I went to a Mel Tillis concert in Columbus, OH.  It's amazing the man can sing so well but stutters terribly when he tries to talk. Another one of my favorites is Alan Jackson.
