Thank you so much for your support. My Dad passed this morning. He had been very aggitated over the last couple of days. But last night became very peaceful and had a good night. I woke up early and got up and got dressed and went to the hospital on my way to work. When I walked in I could tell it was getting real close. One of my brothers had stayed the night and after the nurse came in I called my other brother who works at the wellness center at the hospital and told him to get over there and called my mom who finally went home to get some rest. We were all there when he passed and it was very peaceful. All my other brothers came as soon as they could. I am very blessed with the family that I have. No one fusses or fights and there is lots of love. We all helped mom take care of what she needed to do and two of my brothers are staying with her tonight. I called my MO first things this morning to let them know about my dad as we have the same doctor and he wants to see me first thing in the morning. So I guess I'll see what he wants to do about my new tumor. Don't know if he is going to want more test before biopsy or just go straight to biopsy. Makes me nervous that he wanted to see me so quickly. I am very spirtual and know that I have Jesus on my side so I have actually been pretty calm through all of this. Had my crying spells with my brothers but that is a good thing. We have also laughed alot today sharing all of our old stories and memories of Dad and growing up. I am the only girl with 7 brothers so they always say I was spoiled and got away with alot more. haha but I was my daddy's little girl. Thanks for all your love and support.

Oh, Sherry, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am happy that you and your Mother have so much love and support from your brothers. I have only one sibling, Michael, my dear brother. We don't see each other very often but I know he would be here in a heartbeat if I needed him. He (& SIL) drove up to the hospital to be with my DH & DD#1 when I had my bc surgery. I was so grateful he was by my side.
Again, my condolences, Sherry. And I'm still keeping you in my prayers for whatever comes in regards to your latest news.

what a beautiful picture - I'll keep it in my head as I start chemo next Friday - TC four courses - I think that means I'm very lucky -
Under the circumstances, I feel bad asking this - everyone has so much to deal with - and maybe this is my coping mechanism - so please forgive me if this appears way too vain - but what's the deal with eyebrows and lashes during chemo? Anyone have experience with TC?
thanks - hugs to all -

Luckjnjmom, you might check out the chemo boards. There are a couple specific to TC as well as chemo in general. you'll find a lot of good info from a lot of ladies in all stages of their treatments. Good luck!

It sounds like God brought you, mom and your brothers together at the right time for your dad's passing. I can't imagine how difficult this is for you. I pray that your family members will draw on one another for strength and stay close.
Prayers for you,

thank you all for your love and support. Bad enough to deal with losing my Dad but to have to worry about another tumor has had me way stressed. I went to see my MO today and he called my BS and after lunch went in and she did a fine needle aspiration biopsy in her office. And OMG did it hurt. Last two biopsies I had lidocaine numbing, but with a FNA they cannot do that as it messes up the path report. I should get the results on Friday. Both MO and BS said it probably was not cancer since I have been on Tamoxifen but you never know and the fact that it is solid that it has to be biopsied to know for sure. And both said even if it is B9 I have to have surgery to remove it. BS asked me if it was cancer would I want a lump and radiation again and I said absolutly not. She knew I had a hard time and figured I would go for MX. At least I got it all done today and will find something out Friday. BS was reading the MO report and she looked at me and said as bad a SE's as you had I'm supprised you hung in there and kept taking the tamox. I said yes my body has finally adjusted but it was a rough start.
My Dad's funeral will be Thursday morning. Mom is holding up well. I'm sure it helps that she has all of us around. Here is the link to my Dad's obit in the local newspaper

Thank you all for your love and support. My Dad's funeral was beautiful, I think just what he wanted. My Dad was catholic and said he wanted a short services so mom decided to have it hat the funeral home instead of the church. So the priest was able to skip the long mass and communion.
Update on my tumor, my surgeon called and the results of my FNA were inconclusive and I have to have an excisional biopsy done on Thursday. I tried to weasle out of it and asked about different types of biopsies but she spoke to my MO and he said he wants it out. I also called my PS and they thought I should go ahead with the excisional biopsy and see what happens from there and we can still work with my BMX after that. So looks like I'll max out my insurance again this year and next year. Gee when will I get a financial break. Spoke to my boss and told him the news and asked him when he was going to get tired of me and he is so sweet just said he wants me healthy so I can work with him for the long haul.0 -
(((Sherry))) What a wonderful boss you have!

Sherry, sending a gentle hug to give you a bit of comfort after your Father's funeral ...
Please have some big pockets because I will be with you Thursday, okay? I don't drink coffee so you don't have to worry about me spilling anything. Though I hope I don't spill my Special K cereal, those pieces would poke you. Don't worry, I eat it dry, so no milk spillage either! Seriously, I'll be with you & will wait with you for the results.
Hugs !
