Sherry - Like Annette said - wha a bunch of pure crap. You just got your feet off the roller coaster and back on solid ground. Keeping fingers crossed for B results. I still have that extra belly fat to donate for that BMX - LOL!

Thanks ladies for all your support. I am praying that it is benign but if it is cancer it is small and I know can be taken care of. At least now I am alot more knowledgable than I was a year ago and not near as scared. Went to a pink ribbon luncheon today. Was not sure that was going to be a good idea when I was getting dressed but I had asked my mom and my girlfriend to go as it was a fundraiser for Relay for Life. Glad I went just hard when people where asking me how I was doing. Not ready to tell many people at this point. Just want to find out more details. I don't want my mom to know until I really have something to tell her. Dad ended up back in the hospital yesterday and she has enough on her plate right now. Don't know what I would do with out all of you here. You all give me strength.

I don't get on this thread as often as I would like, but I am happy for all who had "all clear" on their recent follow-ups.
Sherryc, I posted to you elsewhere, but also wanted to say I think that was a good idea to spare your mom your news at this point when no one knows what you will be dealing with.
annettek, I know everyone uses the phrase, about B/C, of being on a rollercoaster, but me, I love rollercoasters, usually want to ride more than once, and then the ride is over and you're done. To me, B/C is like that horrible ride "The Rotor" that spins around so fast it makes you dizzy and the then the floor drops beneath you. You're stuck on the wall, then the stringy-haired ride operator starts chatting up a fourteen year old girl and leaves you in the ride to long till nausea sets in. Then, when you barf, it flies back onto your own face and hair. That's the carnival ride analogy that comes to my mind when I t6hink about B/C. Something I never want to do again.

Elimar that is a good analogy. I feel like I might be in a boxing rink, getting hit up along side the head, everyday. Not because of more diagnosis or recurrence, but just because my mind does not let go of thoughts of BC. An then there is always a twinge of pain to remind us..
Sherry, I also posted you elsewhere, you are brave...

Damn ELimar YOU GOT IT!!!
SherryC- I concur, no need saying anything to your mom right now. And your attitude is right on the money. I am sending prayers and everything else I got inside that it ain't nuthin. BIG HUGS (we all can use em)

Well ladies my ride seems to never end these days. My dad was put in the hospital yesterday and he is not doing well at all. I thought we had lost him today but he is finally resting. I came home to get some sleep unless my mom calls. All my brothers came home and we have all been with mom at the hospital. Mom chose no ventalitor so it is just a matter of time.

Just wanted to share that a sister that I met when I was 6-months out at a MI meet-up luncheon passed away. We didn't talk very much because we didn't sit near each other, but she had a great sense of humor & was very sweet.
Another sweet Angel .....
Damn this bc !

Will you kindly tell me how to start a thread for the Over-70ish crowd? We comprise 67% of Breast CA diagnosis statistics; however, only comprise 35% of clinical trial information, leaving us rumaging sponsored web sites for clinical information and post-op choices. Surely! there are many of us on this web site. We can learn from each other too! Thanks.

Wow, just wow... Ladies! I have been away for a few days myself, the hubby and I finally took that trip for our anniversary which was in Sept. (we held off to celebrate it with my cancerversary, which was on Sat., Oct. 22nd). I was able to go to the Grand Ole Opry for the Opry turns Pink (their tribute to breast cancer). What an amazing weekend we had. I met an awesome woman of God while I was there, her name is Sheri Easter. She is a Gospel singer and a 3 yr survivor of breast cancer. She has a book out called "Hear My Heart". She has won many awards for her singing, ie... Dove awards, etc. I will share my pictures once I get them all uploaded.
Sherry, I am so sorry for what is going on with you sister... I am praying for you and your family.
To all the newbies... WELCOME! so sorry any of you have to come here but these ladies are an awesome group and will help any way they can.
Much Love
Renee
