sheila888 - So sorry to hear the news about your SIL.  What an awful thing.  My thoughts are with you and your whole family...

odie16 - I'm in the exact same situation right now.  Found a lump (actually later found another) about 6 weeks after exchange and I'm in the midst of having it checked out.  I've had an ultrasound which was inconclusive and I'm awaiting an MRI.  None of my docs seems too excited, but they are all in agreement that it should be checked out before we start making assumptions or rushing to do a biopsy.  I think that's a good plan.  So, check it out but try not to worry.  Good luck!

Called my ps this morning and was worked in before noon. He feels it is likely scar tissue (makes sense to a rational not worried mind) but notes we will watch it.. ....Swear I am going to stop worrying about this crap... in my next life......lol

Tina - I hope yours turn out to be nothing as well. Fingers crossed!!

Sheila....oh boy....so hard to know what to do hmm? I had a friend get diagnosed this summer...stage 4, ER- breast cancer...was told she didnt' want people to know but someone told me anyhow since I am a surivor...I waited three months...sending love the whole time and messages of places to check for information via the pal who told me...then I wrote her an email saying "I know...and while mine is different, I am here for anyhing you need"...she really apreciated the gesture, the information and the fact that I respected her wishes and waited...you know your SIL...do what you think she would want you to do...we are here for you.

    Love to you all

Sheila sorry to hear about your SIL ( hugs) and prayers for her family

And... Hugs to all those who are having a difficult time this holiday season.

For me, I had to made a conscious decision to have a nice holiday.... I put up a string of lights at my front door. Yes, I know it's not quite the display that the neighbors have but ~ it's something! When I was growing up we had oyster stew on Christmas Eve. I totally dislike oysters and milk so when you put them together... YUCK! Anyway we had to finish before going to my DGParents house for our party/gifts. So now I make chili if I'm with friends. My DD that lives in town has been out of town the last two years since it's the only time her DH and kids are off work/school. Other DD lives out of state.... I watch the Santa movie with Tim Allen.... a real hoot!  I'm just so grateful for the time when we can celebrate... it may be a week later ~ do I cry sometimes, yes because like many of you, I've got a big heart full of love ~

Now after telling you my previous Christmas holidays.... This year will be different.... the pitiful lights are strung outside Embarassed but they look good enough for me and my favorite Charlie Brown tree is trimmed... I've bought most of my gifts... yet to be wrapped (I'll use the butcher paper and draw my own pictures).... This year, I'm heading North in hopes to see snow.... to visit DD#2

Hello from northern IL.(just minutes frm WI). I was told I had breast cancer on Oct 28 at age 39. All my test so far have come back negative . Had my Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy done today and meeting with plastic surgeon on Friday. I could have gotten a lumpectomy but my doc said it would be tricky due to my small size(32a). So I am having a double mastectomy. I'll find out Thursday about today's results.

Just weird having a blue boob and pee. Lol

Oh, LisaK, I am so sorry you have to be here, but I am glad you have found us.

This is such a scary time for you. So many unknowns, so much you want to know and at the same time, much you didn't ever want to know. Please ask us anything at any time. Someone is always here.

Yeah, the blue pee is kind of shocking at first, isn't it? They didn't tell me that would happen, so I was very shocked my first trip to the bathroom.

You will find that you are stronger than you think you are & you will make it through this.

Please be sure to let us know the results you receive on Thursday & how the appointment goes on Friday with the PS (plastic surgeon), okay?

    Many hugs!

I remember blue pee from when I was is the 7th grade.  One of my recurrent UTI infections with horrible kidney pain as well.  Dr told us it was a tracer dye to help an upcoming test  show what was wrong.  Did not mention the blue side effect.  First manifestation was the white sheets turning blue from my sweat, then the blue pee.  I was one scared kid.  At least that was the test that let them diagnose my problem--kidney stones.  At 13 I had had them of and on for years.

I remember the blue pee - when I saw the catheter bag I said to the nurse - I pee like TideBowl.  That got everyone laughing - I was still loopy from the meds.

Welcome Lisak! I didn't have bluepee but my roomie and Ithought I had broken into hives as my arm was all red...called the hospital and couldn't figure it out...was advised to take abeadryl 9 which completely makes me loopy so didn't do it)...called the nurse the next am and half way through the conversation she told me to get a washcloth and try to rub it off....???? it was red dye or iodine or something to that effect....that had been put on my arm pre-sugery...they simply forgot to wash it off. we had a good laugh. talk about relief!
